Looks like a Tammy + Nikon collaboration. May not have the same type of coatings the S line would have. Plus not having a separate programmable custom ring outside of focus ring is a slight bummer. Not that it’s a big let down. You get what you pay for 😊. Internal zoom at this range is brilliant. Think Nikon has a winner with this. Thanks for another excellent unboxing review video! 👍

In a dilemma between this and the 400 4.5, it's much more expensive but is half the weight and advantage of 4.5 at 400. Then tc to reach the same focal distance. Would like to see side by side at 400mm to see differences if there is any...

Probably one of the most value for money lens right now, in the nikon lens line up. They did take all the good things from the sony 200-600 and made it even better with the 180-600. And as usual an excellent unboxing and close up video as usual ❤❤.

I'm still waiting on mine but can you tell me what the diameter of the lens hood is? I want to order a slip on filter for the eclipse next year.

Thanks, but I'm really interested in the outside diameter of the lens hood. I'm planning on using a filter that will just cover the whole hood that can be removed easily at the moment of totality. @@santigris
