Giants drug their feet on another local guy who grew up a Giants fan and even said recently wanted to play in SF. Farhan is really bad as president of baseball in SF
Brewers have Aaron Ashby as a 4th or 5th guy. He was playing well before injury season last year. His deal is 4yrs 20.5mil with options to make it 7yrs 46mil. Arnold says he expects him to be apart of the rotation so I don't think it's a necessity the crew pick up anymore pitching unless he's out of the mix. Hoskins pick up is major!! Typical Brewers contract w/ short term, high cost talent but its a solid pickup. This team is going to make noise. Can't wait to battle Counsell & the cubbies. The bar has been set!
The Brewers do need another starter but I expect them to roll with Gasser until either Misiorowski rises to the bigs or the trade deadline. Gasser is a 50/80 on MLB Pipeline and the Brewers 5th ranked prospect while Misiorwski is the 36th ranked prospect overall according to MLB Pipeline
The 2 year deal is smart if they trade him at the deadline they don’t get just a rental price for him, so now they get more prospects. If they are winning then it is also good. Great deal for the Brewers, go for it while Burnes is still around.
Sorry buddy but you are wrong, hoskins can opt out after year one. If he is any good he IS GOING to opt out. Teams are only going to trade for him if he is good obviously and they are only going to give up rental type prospects knowing he is going to opt out. Not sure where you got this idea man lol
Id be happy if they got blake snell or hyun-jin ryu or clayton Kershaw for roughly the same type of contracts that Hoskins got if they can afford it to help stabilize the starting rotation n use rea or ross as spot starters
Glad he signed with the Brew Crew ,,, as a Sox fan I was tired of hearing how we should sign him... I want Bobby Dalbec to have a full year of off the bench time and see how he does!!!
I love this, even though for 2 years, not sure why the Phillies didnt just give him that contract. but I figured maybe 2 years from now The Phillies can resign him.
Jim Riley, Great show. Rhys Hoskins maybe should have stayed on Phillies because Corbin Burnes is packing his bags soon in free agency next year! LOL. Even with Rhys Hoskins, Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruf the Brewers still will not win a championship probably. More laughs...I am sorry but you did make me laugh out loud when you said the Brewers are going for it in 2024!
Brewers are still gonna firesale once trade deadline comes. Expecting them to finish 3rd or 4th in division. They will sell off Burnes, Adames, Hoskins, and maybe Williams at the deadline
No no no, you are getting it wrong. This means Hoskins has lost Cubs interest because Cubs got Busch. So it is not Cubs lost leverage. Rather Hoskins lost leverage. So Bellinger situation does not change.
I'm kinda surprised they went with Hoskins. Not because he's not a great bat, but because they're going to play him at 1st base and he's probably the worst defensive 1st baseman in the history of baseball. lol. I always viewed the Brewers as a team that values defense.
That may be true but the Brewers as of now are the only team in the NL Central with a chance at making the post season (Again like last year totally dependant on their pitching). The divison winner is the only one going from that division.
Huge Cubs fan so this was a disappointment. They need more than just Chapman and Bellinger now. Cubs need to trade for Pete Alonso otherwise they won’t be competing.

You're wrong trades for rental players happen every season you must be pretty young?

How can one guy destroy the whole Major league, that's impossible..
Ohtani 😢
What are you talking about?

As a Phillies fan, seeing Rhys in another uniform is going to hurt big time.
Glad Rhys got himself a nice contract there.
The Brewers only if they could have held on to there pitching in general maybe in 2024 they could win the division.
Jim Riley, Great show. Rhys Hoskins maybe should have stayed on Phillies because Corbin Burnes is packing his bags soon in free agency next year! LOL. One thing's for sure, he's not gonna get championships with Phillies lol.

Nah
Finally, the Brewers got some help to go with Yellich and the rest of their bats.
I honestly love this for the brewers
I'm still with the Nationals League LA dodgers or Milwaukee and Cubs and Giants 1 st to 2TD year tight up strong defense 2024
I hope this contract will help the Brewers. They should sign 1 of Hyun-Jin Ryu/Clevinger or Lorenzen. Awesome move Brewers
When do we think they trade Burnes, Williams and Adames? We all know they have no intentions of resigning any of them.
it does seem to be a last hoorah before a rebuild. @@brandondillman5841
@@djl9919 seems like it. I just wonder how long they hold onto these guys.
best to ask BallCap Jim on live streams@@brandondillman5841
Why trade them if the package return is shitty and while they're not at the highest value?

Brewers need to sign Chapman to play 3rd, be a solid lineup!
I wish they would. I just don't think they have the money for it. I'm assuming they'll bring up Tyler Black but I'll take Chapman any day
Big blow to the cubs
Yeap but hey they rather hope on bush being good instead of spending some money
8:36 This didn't age well. Burnes has been traded.

Good guess
This move changes nothing for them. Still a first round exit or no playoff at all

Alright bro as a brewers fan I know my team and we need a bat and a first baseman
Thats a hefty price for a damaged player
As a Braves fan I’d like to know. Who, on the Brewers, would the Braves have traded for? Same with the Dodgers.
What crack are you on thinking Turang will start?
😂😆😂😆😂😆
Hoskins wasn’t on jays radar anyways
Maybe not - but Burnes prolly was.
I wanted the Giants to get him. Stupid Farhan.
This is horrible! I was hoping the Cubs would have snapped him up but they don't seem to want to spend much money this off season, so far at least.
Dam cubs missed again
Huge Cubs fan so this was a disappointment. They need more than just Chapman and Bellinger now. Cubs need to trade for Pete Alonso otherwise they won’t be competing.
Cubs lose out again
No way they get past Phillies braves dodgers
DBacks just did that with a worse in-season roster?
Rhys Hoskins is not a world beater. He's a high risk, injury prone signing and 34 mill for 2 and and opt out is waaayyyy too much money.
You don’t know what you’re talking about
they need to get a 5 win pitcher to match, woodruff and rhys hoskins, is a 1b that replaced who
