It melts my heart when they do that! I have a baby Nigerian Dwarf and whenever she wags her itty bitty tail my heart just swells💜 I got Mara at 10 days old and she turned 14 days old today.
Thanks for the info! We'd really like to do this with our goats, they are 10 months. Do you know if there's an age by which the training needs to happen . . . think we can still do it?
I need some major help I got a little Pygmy goat only about a week old and we got a pee pad etc. we are trying to potty train for inside the house but we are having messes everywhere anyway you can help me learn how to accomplish this goal we really wanna keep him as an inside pet , if not we gotta get rid of him :,(
Considering he is only a week old it's going to take him a while to learn. Think about him as a puppy, most puppies take a while to learn how to hold it and where to go potty. I know this may sound weird but when you pick up his mess put a little of that scent and droppings on the pee pad in a litter box. Make sure to give positive reainforement when he does use it. If you catch him doing try to put him in the box. Give him a treat when he makes it to the box. Training is going to take a few months and will not be something you can do in a couple weeks. I really hope this helps. Please let me know how things go.
We made a mix of whole corn, sunflower seeds, and goat grain. And we also give him corn chips (tortilla chips) or popcorn for treats too. If giving chips DO NOT give them potatoe chips as potatoes are toxic to goats
He litter box trained him to pee in the box. As far as poop it's more difficult because like rabbits, goats poop little balls. They will sometimes walk and poop so they don't always get it all in the litter box.
We just got two they are 5 weeks. I'd like to see if we can teach them these tricks. One however doesnt seem to be interested in any treats just dead leaves and weeds! I don't keep mine inside, but they are cute and fun.
Always trust someone with Denim on Denim. They can do no wrong. God bless their innocent hearts.
Haha, what a great comment! Full-heartedly agree
We are glad to hear that Nicholas. It makes us happy when we can teach people about what we are passionate about. :)
Thanks guys this helped me out alot

A goat can be kept as an inside pet but it takes some time, patience and dedication. Best wishes!
