- In a world where everything seems to be going well, a simple test account is about to discover that not everything is what it seems. This is a unique spin on the origins of the infamous Roblox Myth himself - John Doe!
Yep, I actually ended up making a "movie" of sorts. Granted, it's only 5 minutes long, but that might as well be feature legnth given how long these animations normally are. It's been a wild ride these last few years, and I want to thank each and every one of you for your support! I'm so thankful that I get to make these silly little animations for everyone to see and enjoy, and with my seven year anniversary on RUclips coming up, what better way to celebrate than posting my most ambitious project yet? Something intresting I found is the name: AutoPhobia. Autophobia is the fear of being alone, or better in this conversation, isolated. It could be to represent the fact that John Doe is isolated in his nightmares and to be the only account to gain sentience, how he's different from the rest. Well done on this!

@Arandomguy9487 “The Missing Something” part was John trying to contemplate the significance of that cube. As for Jane, she hasn’t become sentient like John has at this point…yet…

this kinda reminds of “NPC’s are becoming smart” when Groovy made Carl the NPC, it looked like a mirror of John Doe, it’s like he had some connection to the real world, he couldn’t feel anything, but as you progressed through the game itself, he starts to learn abt himself being trapped in a simulator.. just like John Doe, he was being controlled.. only to realize in the end, there was a real world.. and not just a simulation

This is the final animation for 2024, so we might as well end things off on a high note! This was an ambitious project, and I think it's likely my greatest animation that I've made yet! Thank you to everyone for the incredible support over these last few years on these animations, and I hope that AUTOPHOBIA was worth the wait! :D

As a John Doe main (In the game Forsaken) I love this! Just leaves me with so much to think about without a conclusion, though nothing about march 18th sadly, but still good!
There actually is when builderman said he's dealt with John Doe on seventeen different occasion and hitting out John Doe again making it the 18th time(Also probably a reference to the date) 4:20
I don't play John doe but I still feel the same after watching this
there’s also 3 people that disappear mysteriously (shedletsky, assuming john never sees him again, the person who logs off, and the guy who had to take the garbage out) and since im assuming john and jane have a relationship of some sort and meet up often, and march is the third month, but this could be a bit of a stretch
This was a cool roblox film, I love the concept of John breaking free and getting caught by builderman resetting the loop over and over.
Autophobia means the fear of being alone. So, when people start disappearing or "Logging off" he starts being afraid and paranoid. This can also be gathered from the fact the Cube said "Do it for her". I really enjoy this animation and hope you make a sequel to it!
[Autophobia can also mean the fear of cars. Maybe this connects to the story as at the start, we can see John driving a car. I dunno, I like doing conspiracy theories]

"Do it for her" and the other meaning of Autophobia, isolation, means she died, and Autophoiba's car one means she probably got killed in a car crash?
0:21 here is my theory:
the red cube is meant to symbolize the 2017 roblox logo, just without the hole (1:51 is a good example since its tilted)
a lot of people see modern roblox as some "big evil corporation that ruined roblox"
so it would make sense if the cube at the end was trying to get john doe to do something (hack roblox) since it would ruin the game even more (march 17th its a few months after roblox changed its logo to the "red cube")
edit: i just realized that builderman said he dealt with john doe on 17 diffrent occasions with him being banned again at the end as the 18th time (the same number day john doe was meant hack Roblox on)

Nah tbh it's not that retro, I'd love at some point the camera ratio suddenly got widened making the animation look flattened at some point

4:20 Builderman had to deal with John 17 times before this moment, which is interesting because roblox is 18 yrs old during this video's release. (If you don't add the DynaBlox from 2004) Maybe he slowly gains sentience and is dealt with every year.
I couldn't agree more! This is amazing all around. The characters, from the models to the voices, have so much personality. Plus, the retro aspect, such as the static effect, and the classic Roblox theme works in the magic of this film.

This felt kind of like the Truman Show, Everybody knew John Doe was the person who was unconscious that he was actually inside a simulation. So everybody played along with it. But when he gets hints of it in his dreams and at the end finds the realisation, _his_ world turns against him.
This is incredible! A Analog horror about John Doe being in simulation is soo cool! Really amazing work my man! :D

ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGGGGG im such a big fan of roblox myths/hackers and im joyed seeing stuff like that from you. I very much agree with the idea john is one of the first test accounts to gain sentience too, and seeing this idea being brought out more is splendid

I’m currently making my own Roblox animation series and see stuff like this just fills me with inspiration and determination to try to make it the very best I can. Great work man I know it’s not hard making stuff like this hopefully we may see this as a massive series!

I like this interesting take on john doe. From what i understand, all of roblox is in a simulation, and where as john doe is one of the only tests accounts that always seems to realize the truth. However, builderman is the one who resets the cycle again and again for him, and at this time, he's done it many times now(Hence why he said "17 different occasions"). This is prob the reason why john doe always has those nightmares, as it looks like something is trying to get to him. However, at the end. It looks like that thing is speaking to john doe, telling him that there is a way to 'break the cycle' and break free from the strings he's been puppeted by. I'm not sure if i'm getting this right, but thats my understanding of this take. Very well done!

I have a theory that this could be connected to the "The ROBLOX Movie | Unofficial Teaser Trailer (2024)" that you released earlier on. The trailer starts off with a red square, or as this video says it, a red cube. Moreover, the red cube could represent the Roblox logo, as it is titled the same way, just without the hole. This video could also be the prequel to the trailer, as the description says in the trailer: "In this fake teaser, John Doe has finally returned from isolation, and is seeking to enact revenge by wanting to shut down the servers." And what does John Doe feels in this video? Loneliness in his nightmares. This description also says "enact revenge". This could mean John Doe taking revenge on Builderman for banning him at the end of this video. This just a theory tho, but I gotta say this is really good :]
