Suriname 🇸🇷 is nation formed by Gbe( Ewes and GAs)people and a mix of “Fantes” who were captured as slaves from the the coastal regions of Africa precisely Ghana,Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Congo etc.
The Creole language origin can be traced to the Ewe, GA and Fante. Fantes are a mixture of Akans and the Gbe(GAs and Ewes) people of Ghana. GAs and Ewes were already in the Gold Coast before and after independence. Their culture and traditional had great influence on the Akans in the Gold Coast. That is why we find similarities in both cultures.

Isn’t the names of the tribes you mentioned are the ones that helped the Netherlands and the British to fight the Asante for more than 100 years. When you people were helping the white to win his wars where do you think the Asantes soldiers that were captured as war prisoners were sent to?
Seychelles, Côte d’ivoire, Colombia, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname’s leads to the Ashanti Kingdom. That’s where most of the Ashanti’s that caught capture during wars and invasion of the Ashanti Kingdom ended up at. Don’t come here and twist history like Asante’s were allies with the British and the rest🤷🏽‍♂️ Like what you people were doing

@@quasi.q6958 you are confused. Check the records and the dates, these tribes GA, Eves (central Eves, not Anlos, Anlos were allies of Asnate) Fante, Denkyera, and including Akyems had to invade Asante to put a stop to their constant invasion of their territories and capturing of their people for their slave trade business with the europeans.
Slavery beyond the shores of Africa didn't exist until and after the arrival of the Europeans. At first it was salt, pepper, and other trades. Gold and human trade was not a major trade.
Ashanti was taken tributes in the form of men and women, from the tribes you claim to have invaded Asante and sold their war captives, these people which were, sold to the Europeans in exchange of foreign goods, gun etc.
Ashanti was a Dutch and British engineered administration.
The Asantes or Kwaman/ Kumasi, it self had no better army or men to fight. Most of the men came from soround regions, and some internal slaves bought from outside regions and the Dahomian regions.
A Northerner, GA, Eve etc could be a member of the bundits Asante army or fighters. Because they had lived and adopted Akanism or spoke a variant of Twi, one would think their are originally of Asnate blood. Trace the origin of the Akans and the Twi languages and you would discover that these tribes are the original source of the Twi language and not the modern day Akans.
It's recorded that Akwamu, Anlo and Dagomba (The North) armies or bundit groups were of significant support to the Ashanti Kingdom and it's formation.
Akanism was not only associated to Twi speakers of today.
The original governing structures had to be cleared out in the 15th century to Suriname for a new one to be formed, and that was Ashanti.
This gave way for the trans atlantic slave trade business to begin in the 16th, 17th and 18th century. The British and Americans, where actives in the slave trade business, note that Asante was selling slaves to them initially. They were friends then.
People confuse the British business merchants with British Royal administration. The merchants are a totally different group compared to the British Royal government or administration, which subsequently assisted the Southern tribes to stop Asnate oppression.
Slavery was subsequently banned in the later part of the 18th century, even that, the Asante King then, Prempeh I was still selling slaves to the Europeans (Portuguese and Dutch) that was why the southern settlers and the British had to moved in to put a stop to it and exile him and his entire family and his chiefs to the Sierra Leone, then later to the Seychelles Island.
It's as if what his ancestors did to others, had been done to him also.
Before then the other tribes, GAs, Eves, Northerners and later Fantes were the major people or groups shipped to the diaspora.
Fante Akan names in the diaspora confuses Asantes of today and even the diasporains to think those names connects to Asante, just because those names are found in that regions, it's absolutely false. Those names were introduced there by Fantes, Akyems and other Akans who remain in Asante.
Those who sold their ancestors were rather Asnate ancestors.
Slavery had ended during or after the period Asante was conquered in the 18th century.
There is nothing like Ashanti Kingdom, what we have now was create artificially by Europeans/ America to fool Ghanaians. It's all fake.
