It's a simple math sir..
1st yr premium 50k( NAV100) peak= 500 units
2nd year market slides NAV 80= 625 units
3rd year market slides NAV 70= 715units
4th year market slides again NAV60= 834 units
5th year market recover NAV 100 again = 500 units
Now total units you collected = 3174 x 100 = 317,400 rs
Invested amount 50,000 x 5 = 250,000rs.
Bottom line is here as far as investment horizon is long no issues.. What we fear here is if market crash on 5th year 50% slides.
Then 5th year NAV will go down to 30..= 4340 will be total units.
But 4340x 50 = 135, 366rs
This is exactly what happened in year 2008 crash minus 50% growth.. Those who completed 8 yrs of investment they Completly spoil their investment.. All five yrs growth went on drain.
