Btw this is the best prerelease deck building video I’ve seen so far. Explanation is clear, easy to understand! Thanks for making this video I feel a bit more confident going to my event now. ❤
Awesome video man! Always love your build and battle kit videos as you always make them fun to watch the opening part, and you also explain how to build decks for a pre release event really well. Makes me wish I could go to one myself. Hopefully someday! Keep up the good work on these videos. You The Man!!!
Dipplin Pre-release deck is the best imo... Dipllin can carry and if you get 2 it's gg. fezandipiti is "technically" the best card as it can live forever and do infinite damage... you just gotta win your coin tosses lol. A single Luminous energy also lets you use it's ability and attack without other energy needed
I love the build n battle pre release tournaments so much. I wish there were more off standard type formats we could play. A slower more casual type game is much more my thing
Great video! I'm going to my first prerelease event this week so this def helped me get an idea of what to expect but quick question: I thought decks are supposed to be 60 cards, is it different for prerelease events?
I have only played Pokemon TCG over 20 years ago but I'm planning to go for a Twilight Masquerade prerelease in the upcoming weekend and this video helped alot. I don't understand why wouldn't you play second copy of Fezandipiti in your deck, but as I said I haven't played with the newer cards in pokemon and my understanding of the game is in very basic level.
My prerelease isn't until next weekend as the only place that does it in town does it later, but charges only $20 instead of $25 to make up for it. But yeah, if I don't pull any Greninja's I'm gonna buy them because I want a deck with those in it.
Great video. Question for you! Im just getting back into Pokemon TCG and was curious if you're allowed to trade during deck building phase for the prerelease events? I know you have to use the cards from the build & battle kits but curious if you can swap with others. This will be my first event/competion in 15+ yrs. Great video & sneak peek of TM! Cheers
Nope! They can be very similar though. You'll get one of four promo cards and the deck will be partially featured around it and the other half is chosen at random from other featured cards.
Can anyone help me build a deck base on this set I wanna get into playing the tcg and I wanna start with a deck for this set also can someone help me learn to play the tcg
You'll need other cards from other sets to build a functional deck, keep that in mind. I have a video on the channel on the basics of gameplay and tons of fully built decklists too! I'll have decks built from cards featured in this set in upcoming videos over the next few weeks!
@@st00ben thank you I got one of those starting decks today and got some good cards that I can add to them but I’ll 100% wait for ur next video bc I wanna see what a good deck would look like
I go to every single weekly, challenges and cups at my locals. And it's not at all a tiktok issue but I think a 10 minutes vid for a single prerelease kit video is enough to explain how to build a deck quickly and efficiently with the cards you have in your deck as well as the pulls you get from the boosters. I just pointed out I feel it is boosting the time of the vid just for the sake of it. I watched the whole vid and the points you make are great and helpful to new players, maybe I just got tired by the end of it and thought it was long for nothing cause those are all things I already know since I'm playing the game a lot. I just felt it was a long runtime for a mini deck and 4 boosters, I did not think about it from the perspective of a beginner player however, which might get a lot of useful information from those 20 mins. Sorry if it offended you, I will admit I did not put myself in that perspective.
@BuungeeGum Thank you for laying it out for me. I've made these videos in this exact format like this over the last years, and they tend to do really well, helping newer or inexperienced players get started.

There are other videos for other sets just like this on the channel, so feel free to check those out for more info!
Great video man, love how you built the deck at the end, helps out a bunch to see how others do it since it’s new to me. Subbed.
Thanks for the sub! I upload a video like this every set when I can!
Awesome video man!

Thanks dude!
Love this type of content! Love seeing what’s in these decks, as prerelease is one of my favorite formats to play!
I really love that Sunflora art!! And thank you for your assistance in this pre-released kit :D 🎉
Any time! I do this every set when possible!
Nice lil sneak peak! I'm looking forward to popping down to a local prerelease

Sure is! I got smoked by it at the one event I got to play in!
Good tutorial on pre-released kit!! ❤
Glad it was helpful!

It's so much fun, I wish I could participate in more of them!
Opened two today got Blissey Ex and Eevee Full Art Rare
That Sunflora would be perfect for the mirror match
Great video! I'm going to my first prerelease event this week so this def helped me get an idea of what to expect but quick question: I thought decks are supposed to be 60 cards, is it different for prerelease events?
Prerelease is 40 cards with 4 prizes during play instead of the usual 60 and 6!
@@st00ben ahhh makes sense thanks!

Greninja looks really fun!

You are not allowed to trade during deck construction, sadly. It would be way more fun if so!
Does this mean you can't choose the promo card you get? Only after opening you know??
Was looking forward to that tasugiri card
Your promo is randomly inserted into the box, unfortunately
Question for Okidogi - is the attack 170 damage vs 270 For adding the dark energy?
It's 70 base. The ability gives it +100 HP and +100 damage if it has a dark energy, so the total damage done is 170.
How did you get the new set 2 weeks b4 it comes out??
They're called "Prerelease Events," because they're ran before the set is released.
Is the deck the same one for everyone?
Nope! They can be very similar though. You'll get one of four promo cards and the deck will be partially featured around it and the other half is chosen at random from other featured cards.
how do you get it early

Two 30 sec ad's? Get bent man
I'm sorry brother but 20 mins for a single prerelease kit video is just not it
Tell me you don't play the game without telling me you don't play the game.
Tiktok brain rot wanting 30 second videos smh

@@BuungeeGum Then why don’t you go make that content then rather than backseat someone else’s?
