This looks terrific, it has given me the idea to make a doll house based on this design. I'm making it from scratch, no kit ,no plans but hopefully my grand daughter will get enjoyment out of it when I finish it
Finished this in December. Working on the Vermont farmhouse jr.. not as fun as the beach bungalow was. Next up is the allison. Then custom dollhouses. Love the color combination of your house
Thanks! The Vermont Farmhouse looks a bit more complicated for sure! I bet it will be beautiful when you are finished. These are a lot of work for sure, I have also thought of making maybe one custom doll house for my granddaughter...but we'll see =)
I did the same project. I wish that I had painted the roof but just sprayed polyurethane on mine. Putting all the shingles on the roof took up most of the time.
I'm sure it's still beautiful 😊 it is a very time consuming portion of the build for sure! I started out using the same glue that I used on the rest of that house, and quickly shifted to hot glue... That sped the process up tremendously.
Based off video footage, actual house assembly time was 24 hours. So give or take a few....and then many many unaccounted hours in editing video content to do this time lapse 😆 I would easily build another doll house! There were a few times that were frustrating but overall the experience was a lot of fun.
You do not need to prime the wood , I have 4 dollhouses myself ,cardigan gardens ,holes lodge , mountfeild ,and a Bristol but yes looks good in the end!
You know, I wondered about that. Being my first buuld, I followed the instructions as closely as possible. Thank you for that 😊 I may build another one in the future and that is a step I'd gladly skip 😁 I appreciate the advice!
Thank you! You know, this isn't something I typically do and there were many many hours into the build. I built it for a business owner to use in trade shows... I wanted a new experience and didn't know if it was something I could even do by myself. It was a real challenge and a lot of fun 😊 I only recorded in timelapsed form but If I do another one in the future, for my granddaughter, I would be happy to record it differently 💚 I love your idea, thank you!
I'm sorry this was not helpful for you...I can certainly appreciate your feedback =) Originally this was filmed solely for a time-lapse build of this dollhouse. It was built for a local company that wanted it for tradeshows. It wasn't until later that I thought I would add in the overlays with some sort of instruction. Here is a link to another youtuber that did a pretty good job at a step-by-step "real time" instruction. ruclips.net/p/PLOsXqFaE0lTsXklaBdPjaVEIhQ_DUUdY8

@@nancycarrasco3951 you're welcome 😊
Another thing you could try, go to the settings within the video, change the playback speed to .25 and it slows the video down considerably 😁
