Wow, what a wonderful episode. Fee did a great job cutting out the insulation pieces. Must be the purple boots. Joh on the foam gun sticking the sheets on. Teamwork made real progress. Loved the in car shot of bringing the Foilboard sheets back.
It's so good that you've spent extra time at this insulation stage as uou will benefit when your van is properly insulated when your out there travelling!
Yes you’re right, but without adding more thickness to the walls there’s not much I can do about it. I did spray expanding foam between the cladding and frame at the points it wasn’t directly attached to the frame to create a thermal break.
Absolutely loving your reno Fee and Joh. How many insulations sheets did you end up using all up for the Viscount? I'm doing up one similar to you. Looking forward to seeing how you do your lighting.
@@feeandjohsrenovationshow Thanks kindly, Joh. I found Bunnings stock it for $38.90. Seeing you mentioned that it lasted longer, that looks like a good deal. Thanks again.
You two look happy and healthy today, good job xx

Thanks so much! Appreciate your comments, and yes, the boots must make all the difference! 😆

Yes that’s the hope! Thanks for commenting ☺️
Great work and excellent explanation and demonstration!
Thanks Neil! Hopefully it’s a helpful resource for others on this journey.
I agree, best yet
Great job of insulation, Fee needs to work at some of the caravan companies 😮
Very cool
Or warm! Depending on the season 😅
I bet the van will be a lot warmer going forward after this was completed, great work btw
That’s the hope! Thanks for your encouragement.
Nice boots
Thanks! Fee or Joh’s? 😆
Love this channel! I’m going to start on my old caravan soon 🤸♀️💪
Thanks for the support! Best of luck with your own reno journey 👍👍
nice, good job 👍
Thanks! 👍
You might find that the aluminium frame still transfers a lot of heat to your walls when you insulate that way

Aww thanks! Sorry can’t remember now how many sheets. But more than we thought. And then 1 more than that. 😅 good luck on your van!
We are missing you guys. Any chance of a brief update? Are you still alive?
Ha! Yes still alive. Just haven’t had a chance to work on the van lately with other projects taking precedence. Thanks for asking!
@@feeandjohsrenovationshow That is good to know. Wishing you all the best.
Hey guys, loving your Reno.
What size foil board are you using, 10mm or 25mm?
Thx
Alan
20mm to give us a bit of clearance on the frame and to allow it to fit in the channel
Thanks.. @@feeandjohsrenovationshow
Hi Joh. Can you spell out the name of the spray foam (the last one you used) please? Many thanks.
Hey there, yes no problem. It’s Soudal Gun Grade Expanding Foam. I got it from Nubco. Also was cheaper than the Sika brand.

@@feeandjohsrenovationshow Thanks Joh.
Minute 27, I’m seeing doble 😂
Had to stand in for a missing Fee 😂
