Am sync works pretty good,but the problems starts after operate the offset SSB frequency calibration (firmware 3305)

Im trying to calibrate my PL330...LSB rounds down to the nearest KHZ and USB rounds up..I want to go in the opposite direction to get frequencies reading right on the ham bands. USB and LSB appear to caibrate separately so that didnt work either. Any clue how to do this or perhaps set the PL3300 back to its default settings ?. Rgds Steve

TIP: On the PL330 if your using an external ant, you can use the compressed telescopic antenna at a stand, just rotate it to the left to suit your needs.

What is the width of filters in SSB narrow/wide for Tecsun pl660? Firmware 6622 is the latest?
How frequently should this calibration procedure be performed on this radio?
Once done, how to undo it?
why ..calibrate is calibrate... if it did not work the way you wanted ...calibrate again
@@OfficialSWLchannel I found the way to restore it, when long pressing lsb or usb 00 should be the default value (though in my radio lsb came with an initial value of 50) and it varies from -99 to 99
I find it very hard to zero in on what sounds right.. What's meant by Zero Beat?
zero beat means it sounds good...to calibrate.. the tone of WWV on AM and SSB need to sound exactly the same
Has anyone figured out how to upgrade the firmware should you buy one with older firmware. Can you confirm 9KHz BW only works on LW/MW not on shortwave. Thanks
you can't upgrade firmware you need to have one with the latest already installed. there is no 9 kHz bandwith on AM it'S 9 or 10 kHz steps
Thanks, I thought the manual states on longwave and mw the AM BW could go to 9Khz. I was hoping that was the case for shortwave. I like to listen to Ham Operators on 3885Khz AM mode with a bandwidth a little wider than the traditional 6Khz on my old tube radios. Makes a huge difference in the audio quality as well as when listening to shortwave and medium wave.
@@OfficialSWLchannel I just double check the manual. Selectable bandwidths are:
LW/MW: 2.5, 3.5, and 9.0kHz.
SW: 2.5, 3.5, and 5.0kHz.
SSB: 0.5, 1.2, 2.2, 3.0 and 4.0kHz. For shortwave its a little narrow with only 2.5,3.5 and 5.0KHz. If a shortwave station is coming in strong it sounds a lot better with wider bandwidth. Would you or anyone else confirm what I am reading from the manual. I want to make sure I know if this is the case with the latest firmware. Thanks
@@n1kkri I just got mine. New to SW radio stuff, but I have the latest firmware and my instruction booklet reads the same. Here's how to select between internal/external antennas. Press and hold the number 3 button. It's ridiculous that this isn't in the instructions, as my radio's reception in AM was terrible until I came across this little secret.

How does she perform on AM/MW?
I’ve found it picks up all the stations my other radios pick up. I’m in the UK and MW is still available. I do find that the radio generates a lot of internal noise.
