I think they need a few more levels for battery consumption. Im also playing with lower battery consumption, but now it seems like there isnt enough battery consumption. I also noticed as I turn lights on and off to check power draw, it doesnt affect the power draw anymore. I just figured it would probably just change the percentage of draw but it seems it just switches to a base draw instead of increasing power draw values as you turn on more lights. Thats what I have noticed. (console)
You get free hull repairs until 80,000 miles. They way they say that is non-obvious. So fix your hull as soon as you start, and you'll have fewer hull breaches. Also, the weight scan is weighing your cab. This is just a game mechanic to keep you from filling your cab with valuables.

Make sure your internal cab lights are off. It'll use a lot less battery. 😉

As much as I love this game, it's tough to get right, so, practice makes perfect.
