And he just drop out from school since he was 14 if im not mistaken. and focus on music. and his father support his decision. And told him that, if you want to stop going to school and play music. To say that AJA is the best drummer in Malaysia....is an overstatement...he is...indeed....one of the best drummers in Msia....Anyway, there are many other very good drummers who are also top sessionists......there among the best....i.e. Sotong, John Thomas, Gary Gideon, Arthur Kam, the late Lewis Pragasam, Ujang...Zahid Ahmad and many more.....

For me, its Ujang. Even M Nasir also when he was asked who the best drummer, he said Ujang. Why? One of the reason is the sound produced when recording is top notch. Each beat is consistent and accurate interm of sound, frequency and tempo. Some drummer when they hit the snare the frequency and sound is not consistent. Sometimes hard sometimes harsh sometimes slow.
Setelah Bro Tom, kemudian Ujang & skrg ni Jenk drummer sessionists terbaik pada pendapat peribadi aku. Terpegun cara pukulan & improvisation sambil baca score. Mimik muka & feel dia masa bermain pun best. Another good cover if Jenk not available is Arthur Kam.
