Truckers tip for you, a tennis ball is a good thimg for wedging the fuel pump handle. Also how irritating is it that petrol station canopies often mark heights in metric only. Low bridges must be marked in imperial or both but never solely metric.
As a result we measure load heights in imperial.

I've worked in the entertainment business my whole life and by far the most fun I had was when out on tour. Funnily enough with the shows in a few of those Paul Mathew wagons you parked next to in Edinburgh.

With regards to the E400 and the fuel get a short length of blue hose and use that to help aid fueling can use a HGV pump then. We have the same issue with our preserved ones

Just noticed the National Express Connector bars on the stairwell glass on the Harrods bus. Looks like it was bought for Travel London, which was part of the National Express group until it was sold to Abeilio

@@PeteAndHisBuscorrect! I recognise it as National Express West Midlands is my local bus company and they do pretty well up here, being the major player. Many of our Enviro 400's also have those connector bars on the stairwell glass!

So thats where LJ09 CEO went! Had that bus on rail replacement last year! Sadly that batch did overheat constantly whilst I had them on duty.

As a little tip have a supply of split pins on you when feeling the bus at petrol stations there is a series of hole thru the pump handle and a clip push the pin thru the handle and the clip will hold the trigger until the auto cut off trips in ,saves holding the trigger all the time

That was a neat pipe flaring tool, beats a split block with the correct size hole, a vice, a punch and an hammer. Motorway service areas must have a minimum canopy height of 4.75m, 15ft. Other filling stations one takes a chance. She was a pig to fill, even some cars can't cope with modern pump flows.

I've got that exact same sykes pickavant pip flairing tool and its brill, hand me down from my dad, think he bought it in the 1980's
