What's weird is even though I was 13, living in Los Angeles in 1979...REALLY into music, buying records was hard/impossible so it was "What's on the radio" and a big part of it was Sunday on KROQ, with Rodney Biggenheimer doing his imports and singles show..ay-may-zing... but somehow, I just DID NOT know about BAUHAUS until they broke up. Dug on it hard core and actually more so their side project bands (lots of those)...fave memories: 1) hearing "Twist" loud as hell in Wall Street on Hollywood Blvd which is now Jimmy Kimmel's studio 2) Seeing BAUHAUS om 98 at the Pantages Theatre, in the "we're back" era ... they started the show with just a TV turned sideways and ultra high contrast super close-up of Murphy's face...up lit, dark shadows...crazy cool.

Private Idaho would fit better.
The shortest 12 minutes ever, It should have been continued with another 12 minutes and another 12 minutes... Maybe combined with the Cure - A Forrest for more immersion in the post punk Gothic, melancholic ocean
Make a 10 hour version and post it. A RUclips classic
the snakepit would do a lot better than a forest, arguably
a valid request
or fade into some vintage Joy Division, not the pop crap they did like "4 way🤗love triangle" The stuff they did before the original lead singer killed himself.
Never a truer word spoken.
Currently foaming at the mouth over this, in a good way.
Wow! For the last 15 years, I always knew that She Wants Revenge's song "Tear You Apart" gave me instant Bauhaus vibes.
I could never put my finger on it until discovering this Mashup with Bauhaus' "Bela Lugosi's Dead!" Talk about a "Eureka Moment," literally 15 years later! Excellent mashup! That's not something I would normally say about a mashup video on RUclips!
Well said!
Oh, the finger is HERE! >>> ruclips.net/video/iTJF0uE2LOg/видео.html
@@vetterburns1048 if only those bastards at MTV Classic would show Bauhaus music videos.
I've been a fan of She Wants Revenge since I was 13 but only recently started listening to Bauhaus (I'm 23) and the similarities became obvious to me at once!
aye i had it on an early mash-up cd my mate ComputeRob made me.. but now it's even better tweaked.. song's i'd mash myself. grins from England.
The She Wants Revenge song is great but when Peter Murphy's vocal kicks in with BLD it gives chills.
Reminds me of the night Justin acknowledged the Bauhaus shirt I was wearing as he passed through the crowd. The poor shirt was barely holding together from use but it made it!
I was, after proving my Devotion/Dedication to Music, The Staff at Music Market (Costa Mesa CA) last one in stock, hanging on the wall, Gave me a Bela/Bauhaus Shirt,, Black Print on a white T-shirt!!,, one of the few white anything I had as a kid,,
Cheers from Orange County California,, I'm now 50, but will always be that DeathRocker kid...
@∅
While watching Silent Movies,, Horror of course,, BAUHAUS was always Amazing and added..
RUclips: (Dave) Is this how you're feeling?
Me: yes, RUclips, you know me so well, thanks again.
Lame.
it's a shame the original was copyright claimed, but on the bright side, I think re-uploading it may have introduced this mashup to a whole new audience of bloodthirsty vampires!
Now be careful what you do with it. Those tricky little bloodsuckers get everywhere. Don't invite them in my child.
Toast toaster
I totally thought it was Interpol
im 59 big bauhaus fan , and i can,t stop listening to this ,amazing
Kisses from a 32 from Europe! See u in the next year!
@@Firestarter1919 im now 62 fast approaching 63 and i still love this, hope you still do too
BEST REMIX EVER. Bauhaus' "Bela Lugosi's Dead" deserved it. First "Goth" song ever. The backdrop of all those 60s Go Go dancers only proves my rock solid claim.
At 63 just found this and loving it 😎😎😎😎😎
Cheers

Ominous and sexy at the same time. But it's got a good beat and you can dance to it!
aye love to you. If you are a Bauhaus fan you should check out She Wants Revenge...vibe is totally inspired from Beahaus style jams. Love and best wishes to you and yours.
Oh man!!! I was starting to think I imagined BELA LUGOSI'S DEAD!!! This is FIRE!!!!
I was looking through a closet the other day and came across an old 12” of Bella Lugosi’s dead it brought back great memories of more than 40 years ago. A day later i was online and came across this. I had not entered Bauhaus since i had found the 12” makes me think a little more about dualism.
What a treasure!!!
Or reality. Happens more and more
Or is your phone spying on you???
My nephew Chris just sent this video to me and I am god smacked, it was so fucking awesome. You are never to old to appreciate something new to you. Btw I am 65 this month.
I normally hate mashups. This is gold.
Funny I was just about to say the same thing

I've been a Bauhaus fan since the mid 80's and this I totally approve of. GREAT JOB!!!!
ME too.. h/y/heard black black ? or suicide boys?
😅If it was difficult to find records in California, the capital of consumption, imagine the rest of the world.
@@loslosbabyCheers from 714,, now 50,, we had some, record stores who didn't mind of asking for,, what's not here already, the New ones were Vinyl Solution and Bionic,, still around,,

This is the best Mashup, So glad I found it again after it was taken off. great job
Why was it taken off .ohh hang on some feminist was probably offended 😂😂😂😂
Nah nothing to probably due with copyrights...MUST'VE BEEN THOSE DAMN FEMINISTS
Occasionally I stumble into a GEM such as this!
And down the youtube rabbit hole we go
I loved that contrast between joy and extreme ecstasy that I don't know why those dances and music transmitted me saying things like I'm dead or something like that amazing how the cosmos and chaos interact like I feel dead inside but I'm crazy on the outside XD
Because when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you.
Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you.
Acting extra alive on the outside is the only way some of us feel alive, as we're almost dead on the inside.
This is a vibe I need right now.
Dang, this is some feisty mashup! Perfect choice of tracks, seamless blend-up and excellent visuals. Very clever move to go for 1960s footage, which adds a very scary, alienating dimension to the mash-up. In a way, it's sad to hear that your original mix got blocked after ten years. The people behind this have no idea how much time it actually takes to create a good mashup and its accompanying visuals. Anyway, glad to see/hear you've made it back: if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger, eh? ;-)
my youtube recommended coming in clutch hard bro
