Bought this two months ago. Got the extra D30. I wear outside and I added a Leatherman utility knife with a belt pocket that I slipped on using the front clip to slide through. Also added a kidney belt. Bought a Leatt t shirt with only shoulder pads on it. Love the color too.
I was thinking of the same thing actually.. the Leatt shoulder pad shirt and this. Do you have a riding jersey on top? How about a neck brace? (I run a atlas.)
@@kiwi-moto I have a long sleeve poly shirt I put over a few times. Doesn’t look bulky although I wasn’t wearing the Leatt shirt. It should look fine with a jersey for sure. Medium to light bulky. The Leatt shirt fabric is like a poly stretchy jersey with diamond hole cuts all over and a elastic stretchy band at the bottom that’s sewed in. No neck brace. I got a size larger from other comments. Down side is wearing the vest and the Troy lee shoulder straps are pushing away the Leatt shoulder pads. That’s great, but the neck line on the shirt is stretched sideways causing the Troy Lee shoulder straps to scratch my neck. So I have to wear another shirt underneath the Leatt shirt to prevent that scratching. If you can imagine. Sure that’s a different case if your using a neck brace. I’m riding a Veteran Sherman.
Honestly, they're both pretty close with fit. I don't think you'd know which one you had on if someone didn't tell you. I'd say the Rockfight is just barely more low profile but I'm splitting hairs - Chase
Hello! Yes, we have several that offer side protection. Here are some of my top picks. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/leatt-6.5-pro-roost-deflector-p www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/leatt-5.5-pro-hd-roost-deflector-p?c=13 The last one is the Alpinestars A-6 which we will have in stock shortly. Hope this helps! - Chase
@@rmatvmc thanks I have the fox raptor vest I want something less bulky then that but still with side protection Which one is the one with a low profile of the one you mention compared to the fox?
@@themtbproject1422 I would check out the Leatt 4.5 and if you wanted a little more coverage than that around the sides I would check out the 6..5 Pro. For how much coverage the 6.5 Pro gives, it's not as bulky as you would think. - Chase

@@Dropp383 thanks for the info, very helpful
Great work guys! These really help all us out when looking for new gear, keep it up!
I wish you guys would have talked about D30 a little more. It is a really amazing material.
So the bottom of the chest protector ends at the rib cage almost? I just ordered a m\l I hope it fits
does it cover your ribs? how tall are you?
So, wich one is the lowest profile ? Fox RaceFrame or TLD Rockfight ?
I would say the Raceframe is the more low profile option of the two. -Chase
Im stuck between this and the Alpinestars A1, what would you choose Chase?

does it fit alpinestar neckbrace ?
Does anyone know if the alpine action bionic will be more protective than this ?
They are very comparable for coverage and protection. - Chase
This or the Alpinestars Bionic Action?
Do you have any chest protector that covers the sides also?

Can you guys do the new “Flex” version of this ? How would that compare to this? Maybe better if you wear a hydration pack ?
I'm not sure what "flex" version you are talking about...-Chase

Could this be a good purchase for enduro mtbiking?
I don't know that I'd want to wear it climbing, but for downhill it would be great - Chase
Why the hell you want to have your back unprotected, rather protect the spinal than ribs
Hey
What size should I wear if I'm 1.70 tall?
xs/sm or md/lg?
1.7 meters? I'd go with the XS/S - Chase
Looks like Daniel’s got the Covid hairdo 💇♂️
