I think the Castles clipped together at 42:30 because the second one you built would have had a tower in the same place as the existing tower on the first one. Rather than try to have two towers in one place, or have a tower that is part of one castle but not the other, it seems like the Dev went the route of having the second castle add onto the one that was already there.
And now about game - building etc looks really interesting, but I think that currently game has one issue. It's hard to tell if you are currently strong or not. Maybe it's just game knowledge, and some things will come with time. But I am worried about balance as well. Of course it's hard to define after two games but it seems... To easy right now? I don't know. I will be watching this and I would be very happy if you would try some small series when it will come out.
I tend to only create a few massive castles , a first one very close to the main building, coiled arround it if I manage, that I enchant heavily with all the firepower I have, and then the others I create as walls nearby for the main castle. It's really nice seeing the variety and how you're not forced to play the game one way.
Reto, did you ever played Carcassonne? Because I can see that this game reaaaally inspired by that. And some placement options were logical for me quicker, simply because exposure to this game before.
