Haha, someone in my family used to have one of these VW golf cars with the design that they showed in the animated commercial, but build maybe in the year 2000. In the end, after maybe 15 years, that thing barely worked anymore. Always something wrong with the motor/engine, speedometer broken, sounded weird, etc. It feels weird to see old ads for stuff that is falling apart today… :,)

You think this is bad, you should see GM, the door panels fell off, the inside filled with condensation and I had to hop over the back seats to kick the door open in the winter, and that was a 96, the 2001 fell apart and literally did that every single time it was payday needless to say, I still go to the Grand Prix Grand Prix episode of junkyard digs to laugh at their destruction like Christopher Walken in the bearenstein bears film and also with that last clip, jesus Onslow from Keeping Up Apperances and his ford taurus that did that would be proud lol
