WhAt?? NoT aN E2??? I cannot wait for this one. Absolutely gorgeous and very much a missing link in the LMS market. I will never be able to get enough of that Midland Railway livery. As always, quite a hit.. Good job guys
Rapido coming in clutch as always. A new 2P is desperately needed tbh. Even if its the original Midland Railway design, it still counts in my book. Please please please consider doing the later LMS Standard 2P as a follow up in the future :)
I do already have the old Hornby Midland Compound, but I'm very tempted by the 2Ps. The Midland versions look really nice, especially the royal train version, which is something that you don't see much in modelling.
It would be so cool to see one in photographic grey. Along with it's amazing, that is where finally getting a new 2P/483 that's not the old dapol/hornby ones
These will be the perfect motive power for your recently announced, "Evolution" bogie coaches! I also think its funny how this video is timed at 4:40 and the Midland 483 Class were 4-4-0s.
Always amusing to read the pre-premiere comments requesting this and that, as if the company hasn't already decided what to announce yet. "Oh look, lots of people want something from Sodor; let's bin what we spent the last six months on and throw some CAD and graphics together for that instead" 😅
Don’t Hornby already make the Midland compound. They’ve had one for years, and Bachmann have a version two. There’re probably not going to bother with a new one.
@@joshslater2426They have their own version of the 2P and the Compound, they're just ancient toolings that they refuse to update and are currently charging $140 at Rails. So considering the Rapido version is $160, no way anyone's gonna go for the old one now.
@RapidoTrainsUK I have 3 questions on the 483s, the O1s and the E1s: 1. What are the exhaust injector and the tool on the tender side and what are they for? 2. Will there be new variants of the O1s with different sandbox positions and cabs? 3. Will there be more variants of the E1s with different handrails, extra cab side windows and different sandbox positions?
1 - Exhaust injector puts water into the boiler, the tablet catcher is for single-line working avoiding having to manually grab the token from the signalman. 2 - Currently only what is in the range. 3 - There are no plans to make any other E1s other than those now in production.
Will anyone make a model of the Johnson Midland Spinner at some point? It’s one of the most beautiful classes of locomotives ever made and yet no big model company has had a go yet.
Wee fun fact, this exact prototype was used as a basis for the Reverend Awdry’s Edward model on his North Western layouts, so I kind of have some respect for these locomotives.
Ideal for the Railroad range now. Some of the older tooling still holds up well and is better for younger modellers who don't want fragile parts to come off.
On one hand I’m sad they were all scrapped as they are beautiful locomotives On the other hand my wallet is happy they were all scrapped as it means my wallet doesn’t need to afford buying one
Would absolutely love more Caledonian Railway locomotives. RT have produced CR vans and the HR Jones Goods so CR locomotives wouldn’t be an alien concept
Rapido is blitzing the market!
I'm already wondering what they're going to spring on us next week...!

Don’t worry bub, I’m sure we’ll get an e2 soon. 😉🚂
As Brighton modeler I would totally love a Rapido E2 to be fair 😊
I hate e2s so I pray they don’t make it
Tbh the cringy members of the ttte fandom with cringy e2 recolours for OC’s ruined the loco.
@@MisterSprinter156 I understand, I’m part of the fandom, we generally try not to get into trouble with these people.

Wish they did the 3P Johnson belpaire. It and the Compound are my absolute favorite midland passenger locos.

Well done Rapido !!! great examples, thanks for showing the complete range up front

This really will look superb at the head of a rake of Evolution coaches! (See the last photo in this video...)

Genuinly thought the announcement were over
My all time favourite loco, thank you!
I hope it’s a 2P ! Well overdue for a re tool
As always, very impressive
YES YES YES I CANT WAIT FOR THIS ONE
Nice one, Rapido 👍
This looks mega!
Need to see if any were shedded at Stoke to justify!
Some good pre-grouping steam.
Oh Mr Porter 'Gladstone'😊

Lovely.
Betting $1000 that the 100 year old model train company is going to rush out their own rerelease faster but way less good than this one

I thought SK got booted? Should be fine...
Its already out and available
Hornby are not good for the hobby. What they did to Hattons and their Genesis coaches was deplorable.

I wish they would as well a Johnson is the most elegant engine to be built, at least we got a MR loco for a change.
Wee fun fact, this exact prototype was used as a basis for the Reverend Awdry’s Edward model on his North Western layouts, so I kind of have some respect for these locomotives.
Whoops we can already see it!! 😆
14XX 1401 to go with the Titfield Thunderbolt buffet coach.😊
Dapol doing the model
Is a LSWR G6 0-6-0T next after theses?
Pre Grouping please
So many ppl boutta make RWS Edwards
Please make an E2
I know, the market needs a new one.
More bad news for the team at Margate with the old Dapol tooling...
not that its bad tooling, especially considering its age
It should really be in the Railroad range...
Ideal for the Railroad range now. Some of the older tooling still holds up well and is better for younger modellers who don't want fragile parts to come off.
How about a Z class 0-8-0T SR or a U 1 garrett
Will this one be like the Met E class and use a chassis that would be difficult to convert to P4/EM?
🥰
So when's the southern L1 and a borsig "L" class for us Chatham ites ya loverleys ? !!!
To pee or not to pee?
My wallet is save from this for the meantime…. But this mean we will soon see MR wagons from Rapido?
On one hand I’m sad they were all scrapped as they are beautiful locomotives
On the other hand my wallet is happy they were all scrapped as it means my wallet doesn’t need to afford buying one
Super looking loco' now Rapido how about releasing some thing in TT
I wouldn't be surprised a manufacturer like Rapido or Accurascale decide to do TT:120 locomotives.
Ps not massively keen on yer secr generic coaches- 50- 46 ft with a birdcage would have sold it to me...
Please be pre grouping Scottish
Would absolutely love more Caledonian Railway locomotives.

Bet it’s the E2
My Wallet is afraid 😭
So is mine
Ah its yourself
same
I told mine to hide
Trojan
Or 1336. Both Trojan and 1336 are the types of engines that Rapido would produce IMO
Please don't be the E2 😂
