I think it's funny that the stranger thinks he can do a better job than me. When he's 0-3 when it comes to people, he tries to protect.😂😂 Like, bro, you got your whole family killed, shut up.😂
100%, however unlike him, Lee WILL die very soon, so there’s that idea. But when he says “she will not be exposed to the things she has been with you”, lol sure pal
@thefictionfreak7131 yeah, it's a zombie Apocalypse. There's nothing Lee could do about it, so he's wrong. N plus we know from Sara in season 2. That coddling your kid and trying to keep them away from all the bad is just gonna make them soft and weaken the end.And when something does happen to you, they have no way to survive without you.
To be fair: his perception of Lee is colored by what Clementine has told him exclusively. He lacks a lot of context because Clementine was never made privy to it either. So he has a very shallow understanding of the circumstances surrounding the events of the game, and he's very biased against Lee and thus assumes the worst to justify his vendetta.
Great video! I have always seen the stranger as a "judgement" moment, and Like any judgement,no matter what you have done, your choices all have consequences even if you did well...
Another game that does this is Spec Ops: The Line The loading screen messages call out the player themselves for their actions. Konrad (the main villain) makes it seem like he's calling out the main character, but most of the time Konrad is looking at the CAMERA and not the main character when he is speaking. Which could mean that he is also calling out the player for their actions.
@@thefictionfreak7131 I would heavily recommend the game, despite its simple cover shooter schlocky-ness it’s a really great title. Just smack through it on normal and die on purpose every other chapter and you’ll get enough to go off of for a video
There's actually a "better" dialogue option to prove your point. If you leave Clementine with Omid at the house, the dialogue goes like this, "How many times did she almost die with you?" Lee (the option to get this SPECIFIC response): "You wouldn't have done better." Stranger: "THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD'VE DONE!" He's angry at Lee because he sees himself in Lee. He knows him and Lee would've made similar choices because that world doesn't give you "good" choices to choose from. He's a "dark mirror" of Lee. He's what could happen to Lee if something were to happen to Clem. In a way, both men saw Clem as a "second chance" for redemption and getting things right this time around (whether it be for the Stranger's family or Lee's separation from his wife and family). Thank you for making this video. I'm glad that someone finally didn't gloss over this scene thinking, "I'm just ready to kill this pyscho. When will he shut up?" 😂
To quote Poseidon from Epic the Musical: Ruthlessness is Mercy upon Ourselves. My Lee was ruthless when it came to protecting Clem, who in turn, became ruthless herself. It's about survival, nothing else.
@@thefictionfreak7131 this is another epic the musical reference, it's really good, but for some reason, us fans seem drawn to these comments. great video, btw!
I think it says something about how well the weight of morality was handled in season 1, and having Clem being your motivation plays a big role in this

Thank you so much !
Good to see people still appreciate this legendary game
Core childhood memories !

Red Dead Redemption has a good one too with the "I Know You" missions.
I don’t remember that one, I’ll have to check it out

That’s a great example indeed, thanks for your contribution ! And for the kind message of course ;)

I always try to remain neutral in games like this
That’s one vision of things, but I feel like ultimately, we need each other
This video was so well made keep up the amazing content!
Thanks a lot !
From the second he opened the door it was over for him
he didn’t know he faced the main character
If we are talking about games that confront you play until dawn
I've played it, but it's been a while. I remember the sequences with the doctor, which felt very confrontational !
The stranger is the best villain in the whole series
I've never thought about it, but could be. Carver is pretty cool too
he's one of the best in the entire franchise imo
I would put carver on top if he didn't die so early in the story
underrated channel
Wow, thank you for the kind message !
so what if i’m the monster
oh, that’s a scary Lee !

Haha we learn everyday, thanks a lot !
I was a complete monster in season 3, didn’t have ANY guilt whatsoever.😂

@ FACTS 😆
This was a beautiful and well made video, I can't believe you don't have more subs!
Wow thanks a lot, means the world to me !
Great video man !
Thank you, I apppreciate it !
