I honestly hate that line, because that's when it became clear to me that they were about to pull some shit before it happened. He'd have been _way_ more paranoid and on edge, or something like that. That's how he kinda is with even a vague implication of any game being a horror game. He definitely wouldn't have bought into the "just like any other dating game" thing, if he saw that.

I’ve always thought this that Naksuki’s Poem was very sad. at first glance it sound like a 1st grader wrote it but if you think about it she’s really talking about how she wants to escape like how all the animals are able to but she is trapped in such a hopeless situation she’s given up.
Most of Natsuki's poems hide their meanings in different interpretations (Amy likes Spiders and this comments interpretation of Eagles can fly) meanwhile the others poems hide their true meanings in other ways, Sayori's often hide in plain sight (Dear Sunshine), Yuri's are hidden by symbolism and complex words (The Raccoon), and Monika's are hidden by a lack of context and Abstract writing (Hole in Wall.) Its very interesting how they have a different style in ways other than writing aswell
I think that Dan just really was prepared for it to be a sexy game, like when Arin would be like "oh, you'll see" and when talking about Ross telling them to continue the game for something to happen. That could be misconstrued to be a "graphic" twist or something to that effect regarding NSFW.

I'm not a horror enthusiast by any means, but this series is one of my favorites of all time. It's a perfect mixture of their iconic VN voicing and ad-libbed dialogue on top of genuine, hilarious terror.

You know i never see anybody talk about the fate of the POV character in this game. The real focus is on the connection between us the olayers and Monika, but this guy is a part of rhe game world too. He has his own thoughts and personality and feelings, even though we're controlling him. But all that slowly starts to fade as the game progresses, and he kinda just turns into a play-by-play of what's happening. And then he goes away entirely. He doesnt get deleted like Yuri and Natsuki, he just fades into obscurity. Do you think he knows that we're there? Do you think he has any idea what's happening to him? Its always bugged me.
i’ve always pictured the MC as just being the text boxes himself with no actual character of his own (ie, no sprite). the other girls minus monika perceive him as a regular boy but in reality he’s just not there? as in he’s not really REAL outside of the text the way the girls are. hence his disappearance; the game breaks so badly and/or monika becomes so obsessed with the player that the text boxes for the MC himself almost vanish entirely because, well, he’s not relevant to monika anymore and/or the game just can’t handle his text on top of everything else
