Our band camp is just on the high school foot ball field we’re there for 10 hours a day and they would keep us longer but the school won’t let them

Yeah we are mainly outside too. We have 3 3 hour blocks of marching and music but I couldn’t really film that portion
Okay, but this band camp is so much better than mine. We have to practice outside most of the day, and we slept in this disgusting cabins with gross mattresses, no AC, and a toilet that kept getting clogged for no reason. 😂😂😂
You guys are actually really lucky to be able to go to a college and sleep in actual dorm rooms.
(Also, I play clarinet, too. Lol.)
Yeah band camp is not a fun time at all. I really hate it and my body hurts so much haha. I know the dorms look decent in the video but trust me when I say they are NASTY to the point the mattresses hurt your back because the springs poke out so hard. The AC and toilets did the same thing for us last year omg it sucks so much. Clarinet buddies;)

Wow our band camp is at out highschool for a week and we are there from 8am to 8pm (but really 7:15am to 8:30pm).
Do you guys have to like raise money or like pay a lot of money to go to band camp?
We have to each pay like $400 to go to band camp which is kinda a ripoff considering how gross the place is. I really wish they would do it at home like they did before I was in marching band

For our band camp it’s not an actual camp, we just go to our school from 8am-5pm and we just had to pay 200, I play the flute btw

going to band camp @ a college is so nice. it’s cool being able to live with your friends for a week and not having to worry about rides to and from school. my band camp starts in a week we do ours at UNG

i’m going into my freshman year in college and watching this gives me so much ptsd of high school band😭 i was a clarinet section leader last year so i found some of the stuff in here so funny because i could relate. like having to do pass offs for people and having to listen to the very out of tune clarinet notes 💀

lucky! you guys get to go to sleepaway band camp! Ours is day camp. It's at the preschool/kindergarten building since it has a big field. We can't have it at our school bc football kids 😒

Haha, lol, no it’s not 😂😂😂 I just got back from band camp last weekend, and we had to stay in these gross cabins with spiders and other bugs. It was terrible. 😂😂😂

Liv Markley still better than old cabins in a religious camp that usually holds little kids for summer camp, lol. We also only had bunk beds, and they were nasty 😂 I could literally talk about how gross our band camp is for hours 😂😂😂 Don’t get me wrong, I love my band, but the camp we go to is literally falling apart. Ex: one group of girls had to get moved into a different cabin because their bathroom flooded out; last year, a boy’s cabin got filled with bees, so they all had to switch cabins. Not every cabin has a bathroom, so some people have to use the common bathrooms.... one of which got flooded out this year, and so people had to shower in a nasty flooded-out bathroom for most of the week.
I honestly have so many stories about band camp. 😂😂😂

I play clarinet too but I’m in guard because I had to do a parade playing the clarinet and I will NEVER do that again. Now all I have to watch out for is hitting myself.
