    Hello Hoppers! Now this one is PACKED! I show nearly ALL of the travels I did on PUBLIC TRANSPORT during my stay in MILAN. I show the TRAMS, BUSES, METRO, SUBURBAN LINES, ATM APP, TRENITALIA APP, GOOGLE MAPS, and so much more. It was a lot of work but I am happy with the results.
    IF YOU LIKE IT PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!! My channel has been hurting lately and I would REALLY appreciate some love, and it is FREE. THANK YOU ❤️.
    Milan has extensive public transport but it is not always that clear. I tried to break it down into bits to show what is available and then you decide which means you prefer. I also ask TWO QUESTIONS in the video, given I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong. Hope some of you will have an answer and help all of us. THANKS!!

    As you can see, the public transportation system in Milan is extensive. I just couldn't figure out why when I scanned my tickets they didn't work. Does anybody know?

      6:42 there is a green light. It means you don't need to insert the ticket.

    There's no need to validate before getting on a bus/tram. Trams and busses have on board stamping machines. Since the ticket is times, it's actually recommended to validate it when you get on your first vehicle.
    The same does not apply for national rail tickets.

    Public transportation can be confusing sometimes. Watching your experience here made me think of a recent trip I took to Chicago. When I was riding the transit there which I know very well, I helped two people buy a transit pass cause there's lots of options such as a multiple day pass or pay as you go and they were very confused not being from the area. They were very thankful for the help.

      Hi Jason!!! What you did was kind and so appreciated. I would have loved someone to come over and explain why the machines wouldn't stamp my ticket. The ATM app was great for validating my ticket, when the app worked, of course. LOL. Thanks for commenting. Nice seeing you here! Big HUGS

    Not sure if anyone will see this but im going to milan soon and im trying to figure out if the ATM tickets are valid on ALL of the S lines. We'll be travelling on the S5 and S6 line and i want to make sure a 3 day ATM ticket would be valid

      Hello, yes, you saw in my video that when I took the suburban lines my ATM ticket worked. Just find out about the zones you are travelling in. I traveled within zones 1-3. If you will too, you won’t have a problem.

      @strams798 Месяц назад +1

      No, the rules have changed.
      Since May, the single use ATM tickets (those used in the video) don't work on S lines anymore.
      You'll need to buy the new rechargeable/top up tickets. They are orange coloured and called "RicaricaMi".

    Thanks for such a detailed explanation of the transportation, but I want to ask about the car rental in Milan, Como, and Lake Garda is it cheaper than the public transportation ?

    • @MuchoHop
      @MuchoHop  3 месяца назад

      Glad you liked the video. Thanks. I never rented a car in Milan, but from experience car rental is always good if you are going at least 2-4 people as you can divide the costs and you are free to go where ever you want. Public transport was not expensive for one person, so you have to compare prices, time of year, and how many people are travelling. If you are several people, public transport would be expensive. Hope this helps.

    I couldn’t get it, If I have the 3days ticket and I want to use the tram, how can I validate that ticket? Is there a device inside the tram? Also when I want to exit the tram, do I need to scan my ticket again?

    • @MuchoHop
      @MuchoHop  5 месяцев назад +1

      When you have a 3-day ticket you just validate it once, on your first ride, and then it is good for all the rides in the three days (72 hours). I validated my ticket on the app ATM. That was very easy. On the tram you do not have to validate to get out. On the metro they say to keep the ticket until you get out, but I didn’t have to scan anything. I just walked straight out. You saw I tried different things. With the new version of the app it will be easier to manage everything.
