माँ बनना किसी भी औरत को ना सिर्फ पूर्ण बनाता है बल्कि उसके अस्तित्व और वजूद के होने का अहसास भी दिलाता है| शादी के सात साल बाद स्नेह का माॅं बनना रवि और स्नेह का ना सिर्फ सपना साकार होता है बल्कि उनके जीवन में नये रंग भर देता है| लेकिन कहते हैं कभी-कभी खुशियाँ दरवाज़े पर दस्तक देकर वापस लौट जाती है| एक एक्सीडेंट में जब ये पता चलता है कि अब स्नेह कभी माॅं नहीं बन पाएगी तो दोनों के जीवन में अंधकार छा जाता है| बच्चे की चाहत में रवि और स्नेह अपने भैया-भाभी से बच्चे गोद लेने का फैसला करते हैं लेकिन उनके शर्तों के कारण बच्चा गोद नहीं ले पाते| रवि अपने दोस्त के कहने पर अनाथालय से एक बच्ची को गोद लेता है,जिससे दोनों के जीवन में फिर से खुशियाँ भर जाती हैं| शशि ने अपनी कहानी के माध्यम से एक माँ की बच्चे को पाने की चाहत और उसकी तड़प को बहुत ही बखूबी दिखाया है |
