I really appreciate you showing a full-case use for the pedal in a way that inspires you. I feel it gives a whole lot more evidence about how it can fit into a workflow and larger body of music compared to more typical demonstrations, which are both practical and useful as well. I appreciate your work with this pedal!
I like your exploration of this pedal. It sounds and looks incredible. Maybe one day I will buy it but not now 🤣 Also really cool track. I like how vongon catched sound of it's button in his buffer and used it.
Really nice improvisation in the end. But do not completely understand how long loop buffer could be and is it capable of some kind of Frippertronics because of really long delay tail?
@@JamesonNathanJones I am still an idiot, but something I have learned about recording during last 10 years: It is really hard to get a nice recording out of something that in reality does not sound nice. For example, a lot of low quality upright pianos. I would assume that your piano sounds already really nice in reality as well!
This pedal is pretty pricey, but I would probably pay the MSRP. My issue is I already see the scalpers on reverb, maxing out the cost for resale. I seen one person charging $600, and then added $10 more for shipping, like they weren't already selling a used product for $151 more than a new one. Darth Brooks" Rockin Space Rodeo on Reverb is the account that I'm talking about specifically. When I see accounts like that, it makes me not want to buy anything from them.Considering that this is a new pedal, it makes me believe that they bought it, just to make a profit off of it. I've been seeing this with Generation Loss MK2. It's a predatory tactic in my opinion. It's a shining example to show that some people aren't in the gear market for the culture of making music. It's the same thing that happens with limited sneaker drops. The messed up part, is I feel like certain companies are supporting resellers more than customers. It's like they want hype to build, so they can keep their prices high, so they can build less, and still make a huge profit. I kind of feel like Chase Bliss does this with their pedals. I would probably own quite a few Chase Bliss pedals, if they didn't make a limited supply, and then leave it up to the resellers after they make their money. I get that some of these companies are small, so they need time to build their products, and that plays a part, but it would be nice to see them do something that didn't let resellers control the market price. I plan on ordering a Generation Loss MK2, but it could take up to March before it gets shipped. $400+ tax, is a lot to pay, and wait that long. I feel like I need to just bite the bullet, and order one, before the resellers charge over $1k for a pedal that's worth $400.
I absolutely agree. It’s a ridiculous practice and I hope no one actually buys from those scalpers. To your point though, a lot of these boutique companies are literally just a handful of people at most, and I think it’s just impossible to keep up with demand without a mass production chain - at which point the handcrafted feel of these pedals naturally would be sacrificed. It’s a frustrating reality.
I kind of feel like Empress Echosystem is just as good, and they cost less used. They don't have the vintage vibe, with the wood sides, and they don't have the face inputs and outputs, but the sound is very similar. I still like this pedal, and I wouldn't mind having one. I just wanted to offer an alternative, if someone can't afford this right now. I recommend checking out the empress delays, even if you get this. They're not exactly the same, but they're similar.
I love the Meet Maude! It definitely has a character all its own and you can feel the analog grit in it, but yeah the looping is really nice for creative inspiration and sound design. And it’s stereo which is nice if you’re a synth head 😏
I don’t have a Blooper so I really can’t compare them properly. I think of this one more as a good conventional delay that also has some interesting looping capabilities. And stereo is really nice for synth folk :)

Great video, man! Your loop give me serious Soft Machine - (Tale of Taliesin) - vibes.

Beautiful work on this one, really enjoyed it. The piano improv at the end was fantastic.
Awesome demo! Fantastic editing!
Thanks! Although I hope you’re not referring to my vacation footage because that’s totally legit
You’re initial clip of the piano came up on IG and that is what pushed me over the edge to purchase this unit. Beautiful work!
Beautiful!
Beautiful
Awesome to see effects used as their own form of instrumentation! Super cool!
That is fucking gorgeous.
🤯amazing. Another piece of gear technolust… My Wife is gonna kill me… Your use of this one is simply sublime Sir ❤️

Excellent
Jeeez, that piano at the end was magical. Reminded me of Pyramid Song by Radiohead, some phrygian coolness there, maybe?
looks beautiful on that desk as well
Really nice improvisation in the end. But do not completely understand how long loop buffer could be and is it capable of some kind of Frippertronics because of really long delay tail?
You should do a video of how you record/process that piano to get such a lovely sound
Planning to do something like this in the future :)

Love your content! I would love to see you get your hands on a Soma Labs Cosmos! I think you would click with it instantly.
The piano improvisation at the end reminded me of Harold Budd but filtered through some Brian Eno weirdness.

Like the akai headrush...but much better

Kinda wish it had an option to re-pitch the delays in semi tones once it was in the buffer. At least down and up an octave.
That would be really cool. The Strymon Magneto does something similar that I’ve found really useful.
@@JamesonNathanJones Indeed! Great module.
Beautiful! The melody on the piano, is that a known one or is it of your own making?
Thanks! I wrote it for this video, but might release it down the road :)
@@JamesonNathanJones I think it's epic. You should definitely release it.
Is the end result on your bandcamp? part of a release maybe?
Unfortunately no. Not yet anyway. Might have to release it down the line.
This is on par with meet maude delay which i consider the best delay out there. But meet maude is not a 22 second looper

Almost the Dominant Phrygian scale. Using B instead of B flat. It sounds gorgeous.!
What key is this in? I love the sequence
d minor kind of :)
@@JamesonNathanJones hmmm 😃 sounds like a modal to me or a gypsy minor scale?
Definitely modal but not fixed. Toying around with Phrygian quite a bit.
@@JamesonNathanJones Nice !!
Looks pretty much like a blooper in stereo with less features
I don’t have a Blooper so I really can’t compare them properly. I think of this one more as a good conventional delay that also has some interesting looping capabilities. And stereo is really nice for synth folk :)
@@JamesonNathanJones you would love the blooper, 100% guarantee 😉
Buy it,lol
😎🤣👍🏻
Do ya like Phil Collins?
It's ok but it's no chase Bliss habit!
Does that do stereo too?
Boss ds1 > Chase bliss habit
:)
Will you be my dad?
