    Thats how it is double standards because the media & government wants it that way! Its all part of the bigger agenda! Fair play to this footballer for saying it as it is & fair play for you reporting on it! Respect

    Spot on brother, I've unfortunately watched the video of the young fella in Cork, they were saying "this is for slavery" as they pulled up his top to stab him again as a wee girl trying to protect him, puts hate in your heart when there was none there before.

    It is a double standard, Pointins telling staff to not take bookings from people with Irish sounding surnames, big antiIrish rally up in Glasgow, this isn't a hundred years ago, this is weeks ago.

    “Does this virtue-signalling society of ours prioritise trendy causes over social justice?” That’s today’s Ireland in a nutshell...but it’s regressive, not progressive.

    Sky Sports highlight multiple times a week that fake accounts are racially abusing footballers. There's been a massive increase of it happening since they advertise it and generate a massive amount of views and it goes full circle to their advantage.
    McClean has been getting death threats towards his family for 9 years Sky Sports or the English FA couldn't give a bollox. It's really getting on my nerves now.

    Mr McClean is an outstanding Irishman who is right to take a stand. Why don't more Irish players and managers, especially Roy Keane, do the same and refuse to wear this British poppie.

    James is a proud irish republican he makes no secret about it, his city suffered greatly in the conflict, thank God we are in a better place now, people should respect his right not to wear the poppy, after all it represents an army that killed 14 innocent people in his city marching for civil rights and hundreds others in the 25 years following

    • @Ricardo-mr3bg

      James is a proud republican and this website is firmly anti-republican, they're just mentioning him to point-score for their right-wing agenda.

    James McClean gets abuse not because hes Irish.
    James McClean gets abuse because he's a bellend.
    James McClean has conducted himself repeatedly in a disgusting and disrespectful manner. His actions have consequences.
    If I was a celebrity and conducted myself like a prick.... I'd expect to be treated like 1.
    James McClean is a professional victim!

    The difference is people can’t chose the colour of their skin but they can chose to align themselves with a terrorist group. He choses to voice his opinions on Britain and Ireland and that is fine but anyone should be prepared to accept the backlash if they have the radical views he has

    • @neil_nile159
      @neil_nile159 3 года назад +5

      Lad, there is so much wrong with your comment I can’t even find where to begin. The only thing I’ll say, is that your views are much more barbaric and radical than what accuse McClean of having. You accuse him of supporting the IRA, because of him refusing to wear the poppy, Which is flat-out wrong. But then, you say that he should be prepared to face all the backlash that follows. Which include threats of sectarian violence. Either your misinformed, or your a hypocrite

    • @josephmellor3793
      @josephmellor3793 3 года назад +2

      @@neil_nile159 I don’t say he supports the IRA because of the poppy. I say that because he has directly quoted Bobby Sands and has posted a photo on instagram which clearly shows support to them. If I were to quote Osama Bin Laden would you not send abuse my way?

    • @neil_nile159
      @neil_nile159 3 года назад +2

      @@josephmellor3793 Ok first off, I’ll not argue on the balaclava, I do believe it was a joke, but not something that should be posted online, and it’s good he got punished for it. But the quote from Bobby Sands wasn’t even a violent one, so the comparison between it and one from Bin-Ladin isn’t really fair. But to each their own, I’ll not bother trying to change your beliefs, as it’s a waste of my time and your time.

      he's speaking out against anti-irish racism, he has never spoken about the ira he just said he opposed the british, which is something you can't blame him for considering us irish have had our language made extinct, starved of our own food and killed all by the brits, surely you'd oppose a foreign oppressor who did all that to you and your race?
