OMG! It's like I've been sitting in the dark forever and you turned the light on for me! lol THANK YOU so very much!! I'm off to watch all your videos:)
Well apparently I have to have an upgraded instead of the free basics to upload nitwit. Here is what I got off of the sil school: In order to import custom patterns to your Fill Patterns library you must have Silhouette Studio Designer Edition or higher.
Thanks so much for showing us all of this. I have not yet printed the 3 collections I purchased from Nitwit. It took me FOREVER to figure out how to extract them and put them into my work area. I am fascinated by watching you do all of this...and I'm hoping I will be able to figure out how to do it all in my Cricut Design Space, since I do not own a Cameo. You make such wonderful videos. Can't wait to watch your mini-album ones :-) . Actually...can't wait to watch ALL your videos! They are wonderful.
Loved this video. I have a Silhouette Portrait. I learned so much about using digital paper with the Silhouette. Thanks for taking the time to share this info. Much appreciated!!
I have had kits and the Cameo for years and never knew I could do this... You do excellent tutorials! This is just mind boggling! Thank you so much! Sandy
Again another great tutorial. I have a Cricut but have the silhouette software and will learn to use the software to design. You are such a great teacher. I found you on Pintrerest and so very glad I found you. Will be spent a lot on RUclips learning from you. Thank you for sharing yout knowledge
I am so happy that you made a video on using the Silhouette Cameo, you are an excellent teacher. I have learned so much by just watching you explain. Thank you so much! I bought one of your mini albums not too long ago and must say, just beautiful!!!
Thank you for this video. You are the best and my favorite scrapbooking tutorial go to. I just love all your work and you are so generous to share with all of us. I cannot thank you enough.
Thank you so much for the time and patience you took to demonstrate this. I have had a Cameo for almost a year and am petrified to use it. You have given me the inspiration and the motivation to try. Of course I may have to watch these videos a couple of dozen times to learn it but at least I have a great instructor! Thanks again!
Thanks for the tutorial. I especially appreciated the explanation on the Nitwit website, and how the "groups" of categories work. Thanks for the refresher on the Silhouette software...I forget how powerful that software is! Awesome job!
I want to say thank you for this video. I have learned so much on how to use these functions and I am so excited. I love the pocket page idea. Excellent job!!!
Love this video. What a wealth of information. I use Nitwit collections quite a bit but never thought about using my Silhouette to modify the elements. But honestly, it seems like a lot of work to print, size then print.
It's funny how I had to find out the full potential of my Silhouette by accident. I was looking at mini albums when I discovered Nitwit and then was curious how I could use them for mini albums. I clicked on this not realizing it was curio machine related...duh...there have been a lot of new terms to learn today...lol. I want to thank you for the clearest Sil. tutorial I have ever seen- there have been many. I researched buying the machine for a long time & this was never mentioned or hinted at...I even emailed Sil. about the different designs to download- never a hint. I feel a little deceived by them...Anyway- Thank you soooo much for this!
Great tip to not print the inside of the papers when you will be layering on top of them! This video was full of helpful info for anyone learning to use digital papers and elements!
You have created such an in depth and excellent video, Corene! Thank you for sharing all your tips, how-to's, and answering our questions..... we sure appreciate the time you took to make this and all your sharing of the information!
Excellent video.....I have been trying to figure out release compound path for the past couple of months since I purchased the silhouette cameo....thank you for explaining ...I learned so much......I am ready now "It's on and Poppin now" with the digital papers and silhouette...I am such a happy camper...I will save sooooo much room in storage I am sold on digital

I don't have to have all this paper packs in my house .....I had just stopped buying because things like this wasn't available many years ago ....OOOH Lala I am soooo happy please take my bank card away Lol!!...I am sold I am going digital!

I love, love, love this video. I learned so much and you have opened a whole new world to me. I have a Silhouette and Silhouette Design. I will now get so much more use from them.
Corene thanks so much for this great tutorial! I learned so much and am looking forward to trying out these techniques especially with the gorgeous Ooh La La collection!
Love your video, Learned so much. I've looked at digital designs so many times now I know how to use them within my creations. Thanks so much for this information!!!
Thank you! Sorry...I had a Cricut a very long time ago, I'm no longer familiar with their design studio. Thanks so much for stopping by, enjoy your day! Corene
Thank you so much for this tutorial on using your Camio, maybe I will be tempted to take mine out and experiment with it, Thank you again you are a star ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks so much Corene for telling us about Nitwit Collections and showing us how to use them in our Silhouette Cameo. New addiction, Thanks! LOL. I have made 3 purchases so far. Sent LG @ Nitwit a PM to thank you! Now I am thanking you, should have done that first. TFS Cherie
Thank you for this tutorial! I like the way you explained things. I don't have a Silhouette yet, But am saving to get one. I have a Cricut, but I need more options than Cricut provides.
This video is very thorough and detailed. I wish someone would create the same using Cricut, which I received for Christmas as a present. Six months ago, I started with this paper craft hobby and I have been enjoying it since. Your videos taught me lot. I appreciate your tireless and unselfish sharing of your skills and knowledge to your subscribers and viewers. God bless!
This is awesome. The very last thing you showed making the mats the very bottom layer you could have done like you did the second mat to save ink ? Right.
Maybe this will help…Something I found out about “My Silhouette machine” something that I did not know... I have to stress this is for Basic (silhouette studio only): I notice that once I downloaded my digital papers, set up my folders in “My Library” (located on the left, completed the “extract all” and started to move the patterns to the left of my screen into the file folders which I named… I had to do this 1 by 1 from my download file. Once I completed moving 1 by 1 all the patterns I checked and notice that the files where in each folder but pattern files did not appear in my “Patten fill” (which is located at the right of the screen in Silhouette). Here are the informational links on Silhouette Studio basic vs. Silhouette Designer: cdn.silhouetteamerica.com/m/d/designer-edition_overview.pdf scrapgirls.com/blog/silhouette-studio-basic-vs-designer-edition/ Once again Corene your video is excellent! it allowed me to know more about the silhouette tool thanks!! I hope this helps!
Thank you DIMI, This is the message I get to your 1st link ...This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. I will keeping looking.
I had no idea you could manipulate the papers like this. Amazing.... However, I have a cricut and would love to learn how to do some of these things with my Cricut. Do you have a tutorial on that by any chance? I also would like to know how to be able to print my papers larger. Cricut only gives you a 6.75 x 9.25 print area and that is not large enough in some cases. If you have or know where to direct me to learn about how to use the designs as you have with the Cameo, that would be HEAVEN. Thank you so much. Your work is amaze balls.
These are gorgeous papers, just what I've been looking for! Could you please tell me which collection has the pink and black stripes? I NEED this paper! X
Corenescreation would you ever consider a silhouette tutorial? I bought the machine an I have had it for almost a year an I just can't figure it out. I love the way u explained this tutorial an was wondering if you could please help. I try a. Open an image an it's to big no clue how to resize or anything to even cut image out.
Thank you for taking the time to do this! I am so intimidated with the digitals. But your step by step tut ease some of my fear. God Bless you and yours...
Would you, or have you already shown a tuturial on how to work with the alphas? I'd like to print out a whole set of them without having to manuver each letter. Is that possible? By the way, I have a Cricut. Thank you...
Thanks. Very helpful. I imported the nitwits in my silhouette, but then I updated it to a recent version and many of my svgs bought in different stores and nitwits were lost from the library. The files I organized were lost. Any idea?
thank u sooo much Corene for this Tutorial....i have another question that maybe u can help me with....i recently bought a digital paper pack which included some png frames is there a way that u can show how to add your photos into a png frame using the silhouette studio programme...thanks alot...hope its not too much :)
Amazing! Are you a teacher for formation or work? I’m a psychologist, major in learning. The way you address all topics in a concise but clear language is unique. Well done.
First of all let me say how much fun I've had playing with my Cameo...and some success too thanks to your help....when you make several duplicates of the one item to add dimension don't you have to make the lines black so it will print...or is there a way to just cut them without printing them? how can you do that on black cardstock? When I attempt to make a mat ie the white space in the center of the square and send it to cameo to print and cut there is a cut line on the inner white space. It looks like yours print out all in one piece . I tried to do the "no cut" thing but it doesn't work...lol let's say I can't make it work.
Thanks so much for your help...I have watched other videos to learn more...but most are not as detailed as yours. OK I'll try that...I did't realize you didn't have to print it out first. The inner cut line occurs after I make a compound path thingy to save ink on the photo mat...no matter what I do the "white" space in the center gets cut out...
Cool...it worked! I have even learned how to make a print & cut into a plain cut by tracing the image....how cool what a powerful program...if you know how to use it...I upgraded to the designer edition and am so pleased to have your guidance.
Corene, I don't know if you can tell me or not, but does the scan and cut and the silhouette do the same thing? I bought a scan and cut and haven't started using it. I guess I need to learn huh? lol
Hi Corene. Thank you for introducing me to NITWIT collections. The papers are gorgeous. Just have a question about the Silhouette Library. I have uploaded 2 paper packs to the Library which has used up 2G of my 5G storage space. I just purchased another 3 paper packs, but if I add them all it will take me way over the 5G mark. I noticed that you have quite a lot of digital paper in your library. How did you add them so that they don't affect your 5G storage space or did you purchase more storage space? Thank you in advance for your answer :)
Hi Carol! Yes, you are right it will take up your storage. What I do is keep all digital keepers on an external hard drive that is plugged into my computer. If you have plenty of space on your computer, you can leave it directly on your computer and drag & drop it yourself when you’re ready to use it. What I tend to work on a project with a specific paper pack I drag that entire digital paper pack with all the elements into a folder in my “patterns” section in my silhouette cameo, then, when I am done with it, I delete it from my design center in my cameo, so it doesn’t take up all my storage, I hope that helps you. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Hello. I have to first start out by saying I love your channel. I can watch it for hours. I do need a little help. I recently bought my first Nitwit paper back and was able to load it in my Cameo. When I go and try to add a flower or a saying to the paper , it doesn't work. It either hides behind the paper or it because the paper. What am I doing wrong?
Cerene, I have a couple of questions. I am making a wedding album using Dearly Beloved. I took one of the patterned strips and tried to use the text in my Cameo to add the bride and groom's names, but when I went to print it, the text did not print and when I went to cut the multiple other items on the page my cameo cut out what should have been text on the patterned strip. How do I get text to print on these objects? Also, I am finding the papers print pretty light and I have new cartridges. I was wondering if the Cottage Garden Collection would be a good addition to Dearly Beloved for more versatility and color depth? Or do you have another product suggestion that would coordinate with the Dearly Beloved collection. Thanks for your help and I love your videos and projects. I am always looking for new posts from you.
Thank you for your help. I will try that tomorrow when I get back to working on the album. As far as paper, Ooh La La was the other one I was thinking of. I will pick it up for some added versatility..
Do you find digital papers to be cost prohibitive because of the ink used when printing...especially 12X12 sheets? I like that it is reusable and can be used on demand but I'm concerned about the cost of ink versus buying papers on sale in the craft stores...what has been your experience? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your response. Do you have a manual die cutter as well? I'm researching and debating the digital vs. a manual and I almost think you need both? It seems that you could use the scraps created from the digital with the manual....?? I'm fairly new to the environment and am seeking experienced input before I make any purchases. Thank you again for your time and information. BTW I appreciate all of your tutorials and expertise...it has been enjoyable and informative.
Hello beautiful! I just wondering couldn’t download digital, is there selling for states only? I am UK and it’s for Cameo only? I have Cricut, explanations would be great, please. Many thanks and have a great day! God bless you!
I have tried to drag and drop files into the silhouette program but the file wont go into the library It is probably something simple that I am doing wrong but I cant work it out Do you have any idea why they wont go into the library?
corenescreations I haven't got one of those files in it I just tried one solid paper and it won't even do that I highlight it drag it but when I go to drop it nothing happens
I am using the designer edition, so it may be different. I simply open up both programs, my Silhouette program and where I keep my papers on my computer. Then I simply drag them over into the “patterns” section in my silhouette program and drop them. You can do several at a time by selecting all of them, then drag & drop. I do not always keep them stored in my silhouette program (it gets too bogged down). Once I’m done working on a project, I then delete them from the silhouette. Make sure you always have all your purchased paper collections backed up on an external harder so you never lose them if something were to happen to your computer. Hope this helps!
Hi Corene..i too have a Cannon Pixima printer....one questio though...is there any special settings that u use on yr printer to have the digital paper printed close as possible to the digital onscreen look???... hope u understand what i mean..thanks
Corene I don't understand how to get my digital papers to come up on the fill pattern button. They are in my library where I dropped them. Can you please tell me how I get them to that area? I love your tutorials and have to tell you I used your album tutorial last year to make my very first album.. Thank you:)
+corenescreations. yes I have that software. I figured it out. I just needed to drag those files to my patterns. Not where I had them...I think it was in my library. This is a learning curve for me. I'm sure I'll have another question again for you..lol Thanks for responding. BTW I bought the Paris collection with your coupon. Love it!!! Thanks for sharing...I love finding new sites to download from.
I just found your channel. I watched this video several times and followed your instructions on getting my Nitwit bundle into the silhouette software. I get as far as opening up the zip file, highlighting the folders and hit the shift key and move to silhouette and nothing happens. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong. Any additional help would be appreciated
Hi there! Ok. I would suggest you open each individual file that you get from Nitwit (or any other paper pack). So after you unzip the file, there are approximately 5 files within that. Open up one of those files and select all of the items in it EXCEPT their “terms” or “read me” or “about us”, whatever it may be called, that is usually included. Every company has a file or two included within the files that are their license agreement. If you’re trying to transfer that along with, it will not work. So do not include that when trying to drag them over. Hope this helps!
Do you need to have the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition to do this? I only have the Silhouette Studio. I bought the Oohlala collection and I can not load it onto my patterns.
I do have some patterns I bought from the store in there. I did load the collection into my library then realized my mistake in not putting them into my patterns. I deleted them and then when I tried to put them in my patterns it wouldn't let me. I will just have to call silhouette support and see if they can figure it out. Thanks for the help.
I did what you suggested and it is not saving to the file I created in Sil.I took a screen shot but I don't know how to get it to you so I can show you what it is doing. On the left of my screen is the library with my folders. To the right of the screen it is showing the mat and that is where the downloads are showing up. Not in the folder I created. I dont know what I am doing wrong.
OK, you want to have both your download folder open, and your silhouette studio opened, and your folder that you made needs to be under your “patterns” folder and drag it directly into whatever you named the new file. Does this make sense? If not, please give me your email address.
I have a video on how I work with the digital plans in this video. I usually only use my Silhouette Cameo Design center & print directly from that. You may want to check out Nitwit Collections channel, I believe they have a video showing that using their computer program. Hope that helps!
I have downloaded a nitwit collection and I'm having problems with the drag and drop. I have the designer edition and nothing. Do you have any suggestions. I really don't want to use the "import to library" function individually. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi, I have watched this video over and over and still trying to do this... I have silhouette basic edition does this make a difference? I can't put any of my nitwits into sub folders, please help thanks
corenescreations thanks for replying, I bought the designer edition as I was ready to throw the PC out the window lol....now I will watch your videos again!!! Omg, here goes another day 😂😂😂
Hi Corene! I'm back again. I use the Silhouette Studio version 3.8.211 ss. I just updated to this version. After doing so, I lost all of my Nitwit collections. I have redownloaded them. I have reset up my folders in my library. Now I am trying to move files from the Download Folder to My Library using the "drag and drop" method. I'm moving Country Lane fqb files to a folder with the same name. That folder is open. As I am dragging them to the folder I do get the "move" window but when I release the mouse the files do not drop. Silhouette America technical support did not know how to use this tool, he only knew how to send one file at a time via opening and sending to Silhouette - on file at a time! Ugh. Can you help?
I will try it again tonight when I get home. I'm going to watch video again and see if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks for your help, I'll let you know how it goes. I've never worked with digital before.
OMG! It's like I've been sitting in the dark forever and you turned the light on for me! lol THANK YOU so very much!! I'm off to watch all your videos:)

AWESOME TUTORIAL !!!! THANK YOU!
A couple of quick questions please?...How did you switch quickly from your design to your library? Also, can you cut chipboard well wit it?
Thank you, I just bought the whole collection and used the discount code x
Great tutorial!
wow... thank you so much. great tutorial.
Great tutorial!!
Thanks. Very helpful. I imported the nitwits in my silhouette, but then I updated it to a recent version and many of my svgs bought in different stores and nitwits were lost from the library. The files I organized were lost. Any idea?
HI CORENELOVE THE VIDEO WAS WOUNDERING CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON HOW YOU CUT OUT THE ELEMENTS ON THE CAMEOTHANKS,
Thank you so much for this video.
Thank you for such a detailed tutorial Corene. You have used ink jet printer. Wont the colors bleed when we use wet glue?
Thank you so much.
thank u sooo much Corene for this Tutorial....i have another question that maybe u can help me with....i recently bought a digital paper pack which included some png frames is there a way that u can show how to add your photos into a png frame using the silhouette studio programme...thanks alot...hope its not too much :)
What a wonderful video ...thank you so much :)
Awesome, the possibilities are endless! tfs :)
Amazing! Are you a teacher for formation or work? I’m a psychologist, major in learning. The way you address all topics in a concise but clear language is unique. Well done.
I hope this is ok to ask but is it the same way with the cricut x Good tutorial x
Thank you so much for this its a big help👍👍👍
Really thank you for this information 🌹
Hi can you do this with the cricut design space x
wow! that was great, thanks!
Thank you so much!! Helps me a lot!! 😉
Corene, I don't know if you can tell me or not, but does the scan and cut and the silhouette do the same thing? I bought a scan and cut and haven't started using it. I guess I need to learn huh? lol
Great tutorial, thank you
Thanks so much!!
@@corenescreations Thank you so much for replying! I appreciate it. Have a blessed day!
@@carolrossouw2015 my pleasure, you as well!
I love your video's they are very good, but a quaestion, can i do this also if i don't have the design software, i only have the basic software??
Is there a size limit to what it will print? I want to print 8x8 papers.
Thanks again. I really appreciate your advice. Which manual die cutter do you feel is the best?
When I use my knife to cut my label shape it cuts a triangle shape. How to get to cut straight like yours?
Crystal
Can the collection be printed on a laser printer?
Can you do this with any digital file?
Hello beautiful! I just wondering couldn’t download digital, is there selling for states only? I am UK and it’s for Cameo only? I have Cricut, explanations would be great, please. Many thanks and have a great day! God bless you!
I have tried to drag and drop files into the silhouette program but the file wont go into the library It is probably something simple that I am doing wrong but I cant work it out Do you have any idea why they wont go into the library?
corenescreations I haven't got one of those files in it I just tried one solid paper and it won't even do that I highlight it drag it but when I go to drop it nothing happens
How to fix the trace around images that are not rectangles?
How do you get the digi papers from Nit Wits into your fill papers in silhouette?
Great tutorial but I can’t figure that out! Thanks in advance!!!
Thank you! I love Nit Wits and I have a lot of papers to drag and drop!
Hi Corene..i too have a Cannon Pixima printer....one questio though...is there any special settings that u use on yr printer to have the digital paper printed close as possible to the digital onscreen look???... hope u understand what i mean..thanks
yess.....thank you..i tried it..the papers came out beautifully
+corenescreations you also. thanks again
dear Corene, please let me know, you have a link to canon pixma mx922, but you speak about pixma 51231 ? whats right?:)many thanks,Lenka
many thanks friend:),probably I missed it
I just found your channel.
I know this is an older video but I hope you see my question. Do you have a tutorial for manipulating distal paper packs in Windows 10?
I have a video on how I work with the digital plans in this video. I usually only use my Silhouette Cameo Design center & print directly from that. You may want to check out Nitwit Collections channel, I believe they have a video showing that using their computer program. Hope that helps!
@@corenescreations Ok thank you very much!
I have downloaded a nitwit collection and I'm having problems with the drag and drop. I have the designer edition and nothing. Do you have any suggestions. I really don't want to use the "import to library" function individually. Do you have any suggestions?
+corenescreations got it to work. thanks for your prompt response. I've bookmarked your tutorials for future use.
Is this paper photo safe?
Thank you for replying Corene. It looks like we're stuck with it until they fix it. 🙁
when I move patterns from my download file to my silhoeutte they don't show pattern what am I doing wrong? I am using designer studio.
I will try it again tonight when I get home. I'm going to watch video again and see if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks for your help, I'll let you know how it goes. I've never worked with digital before.
