Rewatch that Aub and Duke game. Cheney Johnson played like 7 min. Denver Jones had zero points. Jahkai Howard DNP for Auburn and a dude for Duke that hadnt played in 3 games scores 18 for Duke. Neutral court I am taking Auburn by 8-10 points
You could also argue that Tennessee Illinois was pretty much a trapezoid game… good win for the Vols on the road, especially with Lanier and Ziegler fouling out
Nice to be able to see more teams than most stat sheets, going into the mid majors is very nice to see, its helpful to see where every team stacks up, Go Tops!
If you can defend, you will be in every game. We have gotten better at it this year, but that has been Tenn calling card. Lanier replaces DK pretty decently actually so Tennessee should be eyeing 13 SEC wins minimum. Which would be incredible! I’d say 14-16 wins for Tenn.
UConn’s 3 point defense is where they get in trouble a lot of the time this year. Their offense is good and the other parts of their defense is also pretty good
#s are great but sometimes wins are wins and thats the end of it... For a team like Drake I dont think theyll stay undefeated so looking at the #s might help us to project how they will fair in MVC play
The team to watch out for this year that is hiding in the shadows is Michigan state. Thier slow start hurt thier stats but they are very balanced deep and on fire right now.
As a UNC fan, it’s been pretty brutal this year so far. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but honestly, it’s been rough for us without a big man. We got brutalized in the paint by Auburn and Florida, and although we played virtually everyone incredibly close, 4 nonconference losses suck.
WRONG! About Houston. Both Auburn and Alabama were fortunate to barely win against Houston early this season. It has not been pace of game that has derailed Houston in the Big Dance, it's been injuries. Only Baylor in the Final Four in 2021 presented an offense that Houston wasn't able to hang with.
How does quality of competition get factored into analytics? Tennessee is a great defender of perimeter shooting and they clog passing lanes. So they beat a Louisville team by 20 plus and struggle against Illinois. Just curious how the metrics work if you don’t play a good schedule.
Adjusted metrics take into consideration opponent quality and level for sure. I would say once we get into like Feb we will have enough conference play to be able to rely on raw unadjusted #s more
Duke shot over twice as many free throws and had an outstanding night shooting from the floor. Auburn beats them by double digits on a neutral floor and would blow them out at home.
Their SOS is top 5 in the country. Sure 4 losses isn’t great but many teams would have that many or more with Purdues schedule so far. They’ve also played nightmare matchups galore for them (the top right quadrant in Ryan’s turnover chart). They’ve played #2 twice, at Marquette, A&M and at Penn State (rough loss for Purdue). Also beat a Maryland team the metrics love right now
Interesting to already see a trapezoid of excellence game already played between Duke and Auburn
At Duke may I add
@@gooner-l1qduke still covered the spread

Thanks for the long form videos. Keep it up Ryan and Go Cats!!
Appreciate the support! Only the start
FightingI Illini 🎉Illinois should be a top 5 team

Go terps! And for sure I love mid major ball and it makes up a majority of the sport too
Literally one of my favorite college basketball commentators, great video! Go cats!!!
i think its interesting how almost all the ivy's are in the same relative area in all of these metrics
Nice video!!! Good information. I really like it being an Auburn guy!
Keep working hard, love the content
Gators right on the cusp of excellence! What a time to be alive! 😊
The SEC is loaded this year. Im a vol fan and im nervous about league play. We’re good but idk if we’re #1 good.

AUBURN WILL BE # 1 in the country, if they can beat Tennessee! Go BIG ORANGE 🍊

Are you allergic to saying the University of Illinois?
As a Saint Louis fan I can’t express how disappointing our seasons been so far
Been tough ngl lol
man i really wish over at Rutgers we could have held on to Cliff. Not having an elite 5 is really hurting us
Big time
Watched Irvine play Belmont last week. Irvine is big and physical. Not great shooters. Be interesting to see how they progress.

Hard to win big games shooting the 3 as poorly as they do
Go Gators!
Whats your opinion on Ole Miss this year? Do you think they can make a run?
Do you use your own tools to create your graphs? Great as always
I use CBBanalytics site to plot different metrics!
Where does one find these charts

You didn’t play bama close. They dominated you at your crib
@ hence why I say virtually everyone. The rest of our losses to MSU, auburn, and Florida were very close games against good teams. Bama wrecked us.
@@KStargggdidn't play us close in Maui either. We just kind of toyed with them the whole time.
@@decktechsandspecsAuburn wasn't very close either.
How is Murray St still consider in this given there loses to Indiana State and Utah Valley

Hail state
Where is isu?
How Auburn has lost a game is wild to me. I'm glad Tennessee is at the top, but I fear they need to be challenged
Duke shot over twice as many free throws and had an outstanding night shooting from the floor. Auburn beats them by double digits on a neutral floor and would blow them out at home.
St John’s will be a final four team🎉🎉🎉
Why can't I find Iowa State on the first chart?
Yea I couldn’t find them either
Thoughts on Oregon state this year?
That’s what you get for not acknowledging our greatness
Is there a way we can access the graphs and track them week by week?
Maybe I will make a folder for it
Is Iowa State missing on first chart?
Top right behind iowa state lurking in the shadows haha
What site is this? Or where can I find similar charts to these?
I want to subscribe but "Happy Holidays" is for the politically correct. Merry Christmas! A savior is born!

@RyanHammer9 Keep being a soft little guy. Merry Christmas lefty
@@UnkleRuckusNoRelation Being soft is someone who is crying about someone using words.
Never seen a top 6 team(Florida) not get talked about by anyone quite sad they are just getting skipped over
I can’t tell if I’m blind. Where is Iowa State on the first graph?
that's what I was wondering, I would assume they were hidden somewhere in the big mass of teams in one of the areas
Behind Ohio state in the top right (hiding in the shadows haha)
OU is 12 - 0. That's pretty excellent to me, so that's what I'm going to roll with. Good video.
Very fair 100%
#4 in the Net and not even mentioned? Big miss ignoring UF.
Probably better to be ignored, they’re in the same region as all the good teams he talks about so
Your SOS is not good. Inflated stats so far which the NET loves. Overvalued margins of victory
Theyre very good and I cant speak on all 200 haha. I do want to see them vs tenn/auburn/bama/UK/etc to really get a gauge
UConn is scarily unlucky with 3 point defense, they could be way better if they 1. just defended it better and 2. were a little luckier
You should take Purdue off the thumbnail because right now with the way they’re playing they don’t belong in the top 25.
Their SOS is top 5 in the country. Sure 4 losses isn’t great but many teams would have that many or more with Purdues schedule so far.
