It's that like 120hz pump or whatever it might be. That pump in the kick. Take that away and the mix just won't be the same. It would still be good, but not as good
Weird.. I don't think STL Tonality sounds good on rhythm guitars at all, lead maybe, but I just can't get it to sound good on rhythm at all. I've been using ML Sound Lab for rhythm and I love the sound, but the built in FX and cab manipulation is scare to say the least. Wish I knew how he was getting STL to sound good on rhythm guitars haha.
If you're watching this while sitting on a mix you're about to send to a client....prepare to make some revisions.
The best music producer in the world. I can't believe what i heard from every tutorial you've posted. It's just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This video is amazing! 10/10 production and mix. Really goes to show how important arrangement and strategically layering parts can be.
Thankful you posted this because I couldn’t watch live due to work. 🙌
Inspirational message Sam and JV. Thankful
Thanks for posting this, couldn´t watch the whole thing. This interview was awesome!
Awesome, glad i stumbled across it. Great stuff.
This was epic! Would love to know what kick sample was used on this. The upper mids sit so perfectly and cut through the mix so well!
Sam mentioned that he slams bass on the way in. I'm curious how much he compresses the sound, like attack and release time as well. 😶
Awesome! I want that spot in october.... dont forget!
That was really interesting. Thank you guys!
hey! that crash dub idea is cool, never thought of that. I can't tell, is it just cymbals or is there a kick in the sample?
Wonder what Sam uses mic wise on drums. The overheads in particular sound stellar on this record! *updated He answered it just had to watch haha.
Nice man! Greetings from Ecuador 🤘🤘
Loved this
This is gold
