- Happy new year, everyone!! I wanted my first video of 2020 to be of one of my all time favorite games, Skyrim! Enjoy as we take a little walking trip from Riften in the south east to the capital, Solitude, all the way in the north west. We might encounter some wolves and bandits but don't let that scare you, Elendara the Altmer mage will protect you with her console commands 😄

I always found Skyrim oddly comforting. I don’t think anything can encapsulate the way this game makes me feel - the score, the lore, the world building, the scenery, the story, EVERYthing about it is amazing and I always feel very relaxed playing this on a rainy day.
Even though it shows its age, it really is the best open world done in gaming so far. Every inch of it seems to justify its existence as an open world. It's not hotspotty like most.
Things exist in the world, and you either happen upon them and get roped in to something, or you don't.
Like the Redwater Den thing. I was rolling around in the yellow forest, and next thing I know I'm breaking into a vampire lair out of stumbling on it and choosing to push further. Things simply exist in Skyrim. It's fllipping insane.

Low agility + low fatigue which is almost always the case when you're just wandering around the country means every single hit by bears and clannfears and such stagger the shit out of you which annoys the living hell out of me.

I tried to take a relaxing walk in Skyrim to just admire the scenery but it’s hard when you get bit in the shin by a sabertooth tiger once you avert your eyes

Minna Linnea what the other guys said is true, you can only do that if you are on pc unfortunately, it’s like a command, so if you are on console I would use the shout Kyne’s Peace, which will calm all wild animals in the general area, and will show you all the animals in the area too. It works on all animals except frost trolls, so if you get attacked just use that shout and they will stop attacking you for a little while!

The giant mud crab is part of a side quest! If you play the default opening scenario, when Alduin is destroying Helgen, there’s a child named Hadvar that runs away from Alduin. That child’s parents die and he goes to live with his grandpa near Ivarstead towards the top of the mountain past where the Aetherium Forge is.
The grandpa gives you a quest where you make pilgrimages to different large creatures as a test for Kynareth or something. The mud crab is part of it. I think there’s also a wolf and a mammoth? It’s been a long time since I played that side quest lol
So this isn’t what I thought it was gonna be, was expecting soothing music and walking noises

My friend gifted me Skyrim VR for Christmas a few weeks ago, and I've been playing it regularly since then. Some of the things I've done in the game reminded me of various moments from JubileeWhispers' three Skyrim series, including my favorite Skyrim Let's Play moment of all time: when she accidentally killed herself on the spikes of the mammoth trap pit north of Whiterun!
When I went through Halted Stream Camp and came upon the bottom of the pit in my own playthrough, in honor of her deadly mishap, I reenacted JubileeWhispers' unfortunate encounter with the spikes! Yeee-owwwch!
I've rewatched two or three of those early Skyrim videos from 2014 in the past few days. What an incredible surprise to see her first _new_ Skyrim video in a year and a half appearing right as I've got Skyrim on the brain! Thanks!
If you play Skyrim VR, you simply have to play it standing. Attach your cables to the ceiling with retractable lanyards so you don’t get entangled.
Don’t use the turn controls. And jog when your character jogs. The immersion is immense.

To stop monsters from attacking you, try using 'tdetect' in the console, this will make NPCs and monsters ignore your presence.
I’d kill to see the map of oblivion re-made in modern graphics. It was so amazing. The single greatest enviroment in a game in my opinion.

great perspective (the demo version is so beautiful), rdr2 has the best animations in the world, but skyrim is so inmersive, feels like home, maybe because I played a lot in the past.

For doing vids like these I would highly recommend some mods that give you enchantments that basically kill any enemies that come within a certain radius of you. I use them to take cinematic vids
I tried to walk from the Palace of Vivec to the top of Red mountain in Morrowind and got effed up by cliff racers and finally died of the plague. Glad to see the tradition of being dunked on by nature is still alive in Skyrim 🤣
You could use the "tcai" Cheat to turn off combat Ai! Great video by the way :)

I actually enjoy the initial walk to whiterun and from whiterun to the top of the ...grey beard place(shoot I already forgot what they were called!). I literally enjoys hours of walking in this virtual world and in reality I just laid down and watch others also walk in this game lol

Yeah the rift and falkreath are also very hostile. Full of wild creatures, bandits, and Foresworn.

You should look into this Mod I have on console version ( I own PC version on my laptop, but due to my lack of technology experience and not understanding pcs I can't seem to learn how to mod correctly and it breaks my game so I use Bethesda approved mods there too). Any ways this mod adds like 1,917 trees to the world and it is soooo worth it. Mainly Falkreath hold is noticeably where they are added. Makes you feel like you are really in a vast forest instead of slightly wooded area. It is called " FOS Forests of Skyrim"

I discovered ES-V, "Skyrim, through my friends, round March 2012. Immediately, I was captivated...enthralled. 'Round a year later, I bought my copy(( along with the required PS3 ))...
I tried playing a male Argonian. It wasn't unpleasant, but I clearly felt unenthusiastic... A few months later, I crafted a female Bosmer. Almost immediately, I felt that I had stumbled upon my personal "sweet spot" -- playable race/species truly ideal for my proclivity, i.e. my preferred approach to playing:
a Ranger~Thief/Ranger~Magician
[[ Ideally killshot my enemies through stealth archery; if they aren't immediately killed, I'm able to finish 'em off with melee and magic combined... ]]
I'm currently playing my second, female Bosmer Dragonborn. I absolutely adore her...

To be fully frank, I still am...even nowadays, I feel that I can surmise part of an explanation from learning more about not just Bethesda, but rather it's parent corporation, Zenimax...

seeing others play skyrim in 3rd person makes me feel like a maniac for playing in 1st... maybe it's because i got into gaming through minecraft, lol.
Don't worry, I go back and forth all the time when I'm playing normally. Usually I do third person for running around and first for dungeons or just going inside buildings.

Now this is what I wanted to see dragonborn.
I started a new character the other day and I’m wishing I put more thought into the character than I did. I made an imperial skooma dealing battle mage but that’s as much thought I put in. I did the college stuff so I could be arch mage, but I’ve also started the dark brotherhood and thieves guild stuff and neither of those quest lines fit my character at all

PS: You can use the ‘killall’ command to murder anything around you excluding you. It will get rid of enemies within a certain radius.
This was great and very relaxing. I don't like to "advertise" for other ASMR artists on someone else's channel, but I will say that if you enjoyed Jubilee's journey through Skyrim, there is another ASMR artist (actually the only male ASMR artist I can tolerate) who has an entire playlist of many journeys through Skyrim. He turns the AI off so he's able to explore undetected or disturbed.
