And people on both ends were lying about their ages , and trying to scam induction physicals to get IN , not out . 35% of U.S. males born 1900 to 1910 served . 45 % of born 1911 to 1920 served . Plus 25% of each group worked directly in War Related employment . ( And much of that involved relocating accross the country .) ***************** So much so that there are lots of not implausible conspiracy theories about it , but the Economy was Booming ! You know men have to deal with emotional stress too not just physical ladies. If a man gets shot or hurt really bad has to come home he is dealing with the physical pain of either being shot or lost an arm or leg or worse…he isn’t just going through physical pain. He is also dealing with how it’s going to affect him and his family…he is going to be concerned about whether or not the wife will stick around or take the kids and leave. So the men deal with far worse trauma and stress than any of the women who are safely protected at home. You women are so damn coddled…y’all look, talk, and behave ridiculously
