- Lyric video for "I'm In His Hands", from the album Return. Lyrics below:
I will not fear
Though the darkened clouds may gatther round me
I trust the One who whispers, "Peace"
Although the wind and waves
may threaten to confound me
He walked upon the ancient seas
He still can calm the storm in me
I cannot see in the night that lies before me
But I hold the hand that made the stars
My faith is firm in the One who watches over me
His steadfast love will be my guard
He will forever hold my heart
I'm in His hands
I'm in His hands
Whatever the future holds
I'm in His hands
The days I cannot see
Have all been planned for me
His way is best
You see... I'm in His hands
In days gone by, You have always been my portion
When I have yielded to Your love
So here I stand, alive in You
And available for You to use me
Take all my life
For Your glory, Jesus Christ
I'm in Your hands
I'm in Your hands
Whatever the future holds
I'm in Your hands
The days I cannot see
Have all been planned for me
Your way is best
I know... I'm in Your hands

@laeger, my mom was sung into glory with this song playing in her ear. Thanks, brother, for your ministry!
So very true!!
Absolutley beautiful!!
What a nice song
Makes me cry,😭
Hope it makes you feel better, too!
Thank you for your ministry. I was looking for a version of the chorus, to share with a friend, as mutual encouragement! Then I discovered your newest version of this song, with new verses! A dear favourite, refashioned to encourage my heart in uncertain days. Bless you, brother Laeger, in all that God calls you to do! Shalom!
I shall not fear though darkened clouds may gather round me;
The God I serve is one who cares and understands;
Although the storms I face would threaten to confound me,
Of this I am assured: I’m in His hands.
I’m in His hands, I’m in His hands;
Whate’er the future holds, I’m in His hands;
The days I cannot see have all been planned for me;
His way is best, you see; I’m in His hands.
What though I cannot know the way that lies before me,
I still can trust and freely follow His commands;
My faith is firm since He it is who watches o’er me;
Of this I’m confident: I’m in His hands.
In days gone by my Lord has always proved sufficient,
When I have yielded to the law of love’s demands;
Why should I doubt that He would evermore be present
To make His will my own? I’m in His hands!
A Scripture selection related to these reassuring words is Isaiah 41:10-13:
“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
so proud to be related to such an amazing person!

Thanks, Andrew. Hope it is a blessing to you.
@@laeger well, I'm not a Christain anymore due to religious trauma, but I appreciate the sentiment
Beautiful!
thanks for listening :D
Love it.
Thank you!
Can I use this in our church's online service please?
Absolutely!
@@laeger Thank you!
Is this not originally written by Stanley E. Ditmer, a Salvation Army leader?
It is indeed! The verse lyrics have been adapted and altered slightly from the original version. The music was written by yours truly in 2002 after a request by my friend Bernie Dake, while Commissioner Ditmer was in the hospital, nearing his promotion to glory. We were able to play this new version for him before he went to be with the Lord, and he gave it his blessing 🙏🏼 I’m thankful to the Lord for being able to play a part in bringing these timeless words to new generations who need His comfort in these trying times. And I’m thankful for my friendship with Stan’s family over the years ❤️❤️❤️
Very very pretty. Am I hearing a little James Taylor influence?
Absolutely!
can guitar players not play without strings screeching when moving to the next note. this was not done years ago so why is it so prevalent now?
! :) Thanks for the comment. Yes, good guitar players can definitely play without the strings screeching to the next note. Unfortunately, I am not good :) Sorry. What you hear is a pianist trying to play acoustic guitar. Hopefully it doesn't distract too much... God bless.
