    You should change rears as well for yellowstuff, beacuse now the breaking % front rears is a little off, beacuse fronts now bites more.
    I dont track my car so i order new OEM discs for my sport model (plain front discs) and redstuff all around, redstuff is ok for occasional canyon blast or spirited road driving. It is amazing how good these cars handle :) Good luck on road.

      Did you change them front and rear? Or also just on the front?
      I‘m looking into brake pads at the moment. I‘m not sure if you need them at the rear, seeing so many track tools and racecars running stock brakes on the rear axle.

      @@isimon.I'm still running the standard brembos on the back mate atm, but might price up some soon! They have loads of life left in them and because mines EDC I'll need a certain pad too... And they take longer to change out so i kinda cba 😂

    I have prove now that we are living in a Matrix.
    2 days ago I started to look into brake pads for the Meg.
    After a couple of hours, many online forums and some youtube videos, I thought the EBC yellow stuff sounds like a safe choice. 😂 And here is you:

    I know exactly what you mean. I have them on my Audi front and back, with slotted discs and steel reinforced brakelines, and the initial bite is good and gets better after about the 3rd application when they start to get a bit of heat in them

    I've had a good time with yellowstuff pads on the front of the MX5. stops extremely well even in the wet over the 20k miles they've been fitted.. I get a bit of lockup under emergency braking now though as the rear brembo pads aren't as good.

      @nobodyshero200 they will be ok for road I would not use them on track they last a day compared to my rsl29
      For road fresh flush of rbf 600 and renault genuine pads are superb don’t use the euro copied crap even though it says oem

    How have you found these pads Ash? Just realised my Meg needs pads all around (rears somewhat urgently!) and fell off my chair when OEM pads come in at nearly £600!
    Yellow stuff for front and rear (manual) £170 (black friday discount at 20% thrown in)

      @@VersionOneUK Sorry, I meant how are you finding the pad performance on the car compared to your last set (rather than finding somewhere to buy them) 😁😆 I assume you have got some miles on them now to have fully bedded in?
      Just placed an order for a set from EBC Brake Shop :)
      A fellow member of the renault sport club forum recommended jumpoing onto Blue Stuff but thought for how I use the car, the blue stuff seems to be more track oriantated rather than fast road which is what the Yellow Stuff seem to be geared up for.

    • @VersionOneUK
      @VersionOneUK  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@steveh3204 oh 😂😂 my bad... Yeah they're great mate, no squeaks etc, much more initial bite and over stopping power, the blue stuff is a full track pad i believe... The red stuff was what i was going to get for low dust but the yellow apparently performs substantially better

    • @CK-297
      @CK-297 7 месяцев назад +1

      How is the brake dust compared with the Brembo's and do you have a firmer brake pedal do you think ?

    • @steveh3204
      @steveh3204 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@CK-297 I fitted mine shortly after my question - very happy with them. I fitted front and rears new at the same time so they have bedded in at the same rate.
      My driving is 'fast road'. I dont track, and my enthusiastic driving is somwhat limited to around a 15 minute stretch of 'back roads' where I heavly lean on the brakes, but I have never had issues with OEM pads on the same stretch of road either.
      They are much better at initial bite compared to OEM as Ash was describing in his video and this has not changed since completing the bedding in mileage. I always found with OEM that the initial bite was poor be it cold or hot pads, and that you required more than expected brake force which when on the road was sometimes a little disconcerting. Yellow stuff seems to have resolved that wthout being too harsh about it (IE trying to chuck you through the windscreen).
      They work very well from cold with little to no warm up needed for initial road driving which was important for me. I have noticed them squeeling a little more on light braking, but my OEM's went through a period of doing that before going quiet again. Just a character of the brakes rather than something wrong.
      A quick hoon over some back roads show that whilst they faded initially (part of bedding in - you need to get them up to a high temp), they have settled down and in my opinion are a compariible pad to OEM, but as I say, with better initial bite. I cant comment on their ability on track, or extended heavy road use and I dont use my car that way (although if track use or extended heavy braking you may want to consider blue stuff).
      I had to do a couple of heavy braking events due to traffic conditions and found them very compliant in sheading speed quickly.
      As for dust.... I have not washed my car in nearly 4 months so my front wheels might as well be black so not able to tell 😆. Personally, I prefer the function over form and if my wheels get dirty then so be it. Although I do belive blue stuff is being sold as a 'less dust' compared to yellow stuff. Your mileage may vary on that however.

    I have ebc yellow stuff pads honestly they are not great I was expecting better 4 hard brakes on corners and they get major fade, wear as standard brakes on my car never ever did but they were AMG ones, and brake dust is a killer

    • @VersionOneUK
      @VersionOneUK  9 месяцев назад

      I suppose it depends on the car mate 🤷 I've seen a lot of people running these pads on meg 3's and 4's with nothing but good things to report, are you running uprated brake fluid too?

    • @Alfie.Goalkeeping
      @Alfie.Goalkeeping 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@VersionOneUK no but I'll give that a try, it's just before with AMG brakes I didn't get much brake fade, but do now, driving normal you get so much brake dust too
