Ease and quickness of setup mainly. There was nothing wrong with the other tent but it wasn’t great for our way of camping at the moment. We looked at a few others but the ikamper was the beat for our needs. We have been on a few trips and no complaints so far. The awning is still a moon or issue but I hope to have a look at it this week.
Love it. We did a 6 month trip and have had no issues with it. The loss of the area to get changed never worried us. The ease and quickness of setup and pull down are the best improvements.
The bars are attached to rivnuts in the trailers crossbar. I would have to remake the bases to fit a bit better. If I did them again I would do it slightly differently. If anyone needs some measurements hit me up.
Very cool. May have to do the same one day. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job and info mate cheers!
Look forward to your thoughts on the tent after some trips with it. What made you decide on the iKamper. Thanks for the video

Why not move the mounting bars you made over more, instead of moving the camper on the bars? Then it will clear the awning!

Might be able to get another 10 mm out of it which will do the trick.
