For anyone wondering how to play the game: A demo was playable for press on a gaming convention, i just searched for the footage and put it together in this video. Unfortunately there is no demo available for now.

I'm so used to jumping on the head of other players when playing multi co-op that now seeing players not have any collision when they touch each other seems weird to me lol
Edit : it's interesting seeing the comments here on how people liked and disliked that feature in the older Mario games. Personally I didn't like nor dislike it, it was annoying at times if for instance your little brother would throw you off a cliff but also that was what was fun. Mario Wonder really seems to get rid of that and rather have that more co-op feature.
Because let's be honest guys, when we play in co-op at 2D side scrolling Mario games it's mostly just a competition or a full on battle lmao

Yea my brother would just throw me off to my death in 3d world because I took a power up that I wanted or I accidentally grabbed him when I was throwing fireballs

Thank goodness they have finally gotten rid of the pause-effect that happens when a player gets hurt or dies. I can’t tell you how many times that pause has cost me a life
Interesting how you don't lose life immediately when getting crushed, but you only lose your current power-up.
It only happens in 3d games except oddisey,3d land and 3d world

I like that they added the ghost animation when a character loses a life and is waiting to be revived by another, instead of the bubble like in the previous 2D games. Also, when a Yoshi dies, it’s spirit resembles an Eerie from Super Mario World.
I guess Nintendo copied that idea from Cuphead

Honestly it reminded me of some of the recent Kirby spin offs with ghost Kirbys
They should definitely add an option to make it to where there's player friction like in the previous 2d mario games. Trolling your friends was the best part of those games
I'm glad that enemies in this game are closer than ever to actually resembling the art style they use in 2D material
Yoshi doesnt seem like the easy mode so much as it's just letting you play as a yoshi you'd normally get in game. I think its a great compromise in a multi-player setting
Fine for multiplayer, just kind of lame for single player.
I feel like if he took damage then he’d be perfect - he can already flutter jump and eat stuff with his tongue so I feel like the trade off would still be fine, especially cause nabbit is already in the game and doesn’t take damage

The underground music in the first part of the video(at 0:16-0:21) gives me Super Mario Sunshine vibes when you first land on Delfino Airstrip at the start of the game.

I never saw anyone mention how different Yoshis voice in the game
They either replaced Totaka or recorded new lines for him.
Kazumi Totaka might've recorded new lines. There would've articles around if he also stepped down.
Yoshis ‘voice’ changes from game to game. It doesn’t matter. Mario is the main character, that’s why people noticed. Not that it matters either as he barely speaks.
Yoshi is actually modelled after his older version too

I'm curious on something. I notice some Wonder Effects have a timer. What would happen if time runs out in the Wonder Effect?
I would assume the stage goes back to normal.

Yoshi, Peach, Daisy, Toads, Toadette sound all different
Yoshi/Nabbit recorded new lines but the rest are the same voice actors

In my opinion they stand out too much and are kind of annoying, not feeling it… 🥲
@@hadjego4824Yeah I kind of agree. I like the sound itself but I think it needs to be a little quieter, especially with 4 people doing it at a time
@@hadjego4824 I agree. I prefer the original jumping sounds, mainly the one from Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros Wii. Kind of like with Sonic, I always thought Sonic CD's jumping sound was annoying compared to his original jumping around.

the camera in multiplayer is kinda weird. kinda wish they still had it locked on to one person, but the camera still zooms out and stuff to fit everyone in it and the camera leader can change during gameplay to someone that is further ahead, checking out a secret, and just moving along instead

zoom in out out frequently will make some players dizzy, and make it smaller means hard to see and make the level even harder
@@KevinWuPlus they did it with the other 2D mario games AND with 3D world. I dont see why it’s suddenly a problem here. Honestly the multiplayer in general seems pretty lackluster with the removal of online coop. its not gonna ruin the game for me since i have no friends, but these things will definitely effect the game for people who do play coop
In this video, and even in the treehouse video you can see how the camera is awful simply because it’s locked to one player.

No player collision sucks it’s what made co-op fun in the first place. If I wanted to not be bothered with anybody bumping into me I’d just play single player..

In the gameplays i saw, none showed if he takes knockback when touching an enemy, because yoshi gets that knockback, and i think both are supposed to play the same but nabbit could be better, yk? This one isnt that important, but ill say it anyways, i saw he looks smaller than the orher characters, does it mean that he can easily access 1 tile block areas? Like ones that its easier for Mario to get when he is smaol yk
Also, does the powerups she steal still get him a life? Because that would make him balanced compared.go yoshi who have more stuff than him, we saw one or 2 gameolays where he finished the stage, but he also didnt grab a powerup, so i have no idea if it is still like that or if they deleted that feature
Well those are my questions, they arent alot but the gameplays with Yoshi and normal characters answered my questions to each of them, but nabbit wasnt so used so idk how he wotks comparex go yoshi.
@@mallow4460 in the trailer I noticed nabbit does phase through things like in new soup luigi U, and unlike Yoshi, I think that was supposed to be balanced by controlling like Mario rather than having yoshi's abilities
He was shorter in new soup luigi but his hitbox wasn't any different, I can't say for sure but I assume they didn't change that
And stealing powerups, yeah I just have no idea. The powerups Yoshi gets just going into his mouth alone was more than what I was expecting, maybe nabbit has something similar to that now? Who knows?

not going to lie some of the sound effects i’m finding really annoying, especially the jumping. but apart from that this game looks amazing
Yeah, I don't really like the jumping sound effect either. The little piano riff used for it is too loud and I think it's a lot more obnoxious with more players and everyone is jumping all at once. I miss the old jumping sound effect, I think they should've kept the one from the New Super Mario Bros series to be honest or at least bring back the one from Super Mario World.
I have a request show gameplay of Multiplayer of Someone playing as Yellow Toad and another person playing as Blue Toad at the exact same time in Super Mario Bros. Wonder like you can do in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I want to see both Yellow Toad and Blue Toad in action in a Level together at the exact same time. I know it’s possible to play as Toad with another Toadette but can you do Yellow Toad with another Blue Toad?

i dislike the camera for multiplayer. it just makes u have to go fast or slow depending on who the camera is on. ik it changes to other players but for a level, having to play like that... would get annoying'
