I really appreciate you showing that moment of you dealing with Atlas out burst as a mom of a 19months and a first time mom at that I know as Jamaican we always slap our kids for everything instead of understanding them i know that we need to correct them but not everything need for a beating

Nothing needs a beating. The English language is a powerful way of communicating there is so much power in words and
the way it is expressed. I have four children and have never nor would I ever think of beating them. What would you do if you were being beaten and how do you think it would affect you, if not in the instant but moving forward.

It's funny how as a middle class jamaican i always felt like upper class people were superficial, boring and mean. This channel gives me a new perspective. We r all Jamaicans regardless of which part of the world we r from. I love this channel.

Tami, that is what I had to do last week with my little, I had to get down on the floor, lay down beside her, talking to her about no t.v. time but reading, she is five, going on 55, we ended up in the backyard doing yoga and then water the plants, played in the mud, making mud pies and cakes
Then eventually after bath, we got reading done, puzzled done and alphabet and language practices completed for the day
Thanks for reminding us that children are children and not adults as we are

Initially, I was very fraught with angst (mildly) on why a mother would allow her child to behave like that. I am quite satisfied with the explanation later in the episode. I have been learning to dive deep and find out the cause of their tantrums instead of (as I was taught and dealt with as a child) fueling it. Another compelling life lesson in another splendid vlog
Glad you learned something.. That's where many of the violence comes from. Many children have been abuse violently for simple things and it stays in their subconscious minds and ends up doing the same thing later on. for the simplies thing and escalate into......

I know nobody and no family is perfect but I would say this whole family is imperfectly perfect. I love the vibes, the interaction, the love, the authenticity it is so refreshing to watch. Pork is definitely a staple in my our Chinese household. Tami, thank you so much for posting this with your dad. My dad passed away last year and this was an emotional one for me. The relationship between a daughter and dad is irreplaceable. It brought me back to some great memories with my dad ♥️

@@spicykennag I didn't expect a different answer from a woman...as a husband and a father and a strong father figure don't you dare tell me to take a seat...this is the kind-of things you women do to us men and let the kids have their own way and this is the outcome of the world today...are you proud of the way these kids are behaving today? I'm not however it's the proud mothers like you who is telling a man like me to take a seat but if there was a lot of fathers like me we wouldn't have these types of problems.
He didn’t get his own way, she disciplined him without using force or aggression. Too many of us are socialized into thinking that if the situation is not handled in a harsh manner , discipline is not served. He didn’t have the unhealthy ping pong for breakfast, she got him to see that fruits are better to start the day.

@@theycallmestoosh Structure and discipline can be taught without physical and or verbal abuse. It takes more time and effort. It's much easier for some parents to just buss di pickney ass. That's a poor example of anger management on the part of the parent. It teaches the child violence and that this is how one resolves conflict.

Also, when he is told to do something he needs to do it and not say ‘no’ or do that stupid whining thing where he adds “ah” at the end of every word he says in order to get his own way. He’s damn rude, I’m sorry. Every single episode he’s the only one giving trouble constantly and the behaviour is never corrected, that’s why he continues. There’s a huge difference between not shouting/hitting and just allowing the pickney fi rule de roost!
