I'm truly heartbroken. Our captain, the last to lead us to European glory, Juventini salute you Luca, we will always keep you in our hearts. Riposa in pace fratello ❤❤
That was really sad. Frank LaBoeuf even Craig burley who are normally so laughable and funny were so sad. I am not even a Chelsea fan but to see the pain watching them hurt for a guy they loved as a person was sad, poignant but beautiful in a way to what he meant to them, Chelsea and the beautiful game of football.
Football world has been losing a lot of legends in recent weeks. Pele, Sinisa Mihajlovic, now Vialli. Thank you for the memories and contributions to the sport and may they all rest in peace.
We also lost our important person of thr world throughout 2022 such as Queen Elizabeth II, Mikhail Gorbachev, and finally, Pope Benedict XVI. As for the football, it's the end of the old GOAT era. Pele and Maradona are now united in heaven.
Thank You for this acknowledgement, ESPN FC. I'm a Juve fan but Vialli and Zola were the reason why I adopted Chelsea as my pet English team. This was right when they were on the cusp of becoming a true power a few years before Abramovich bought them. He was a legend at 3 Clubs and many players cannot say that: Sampdoria, Juventus, Chelsea.
As an Azzurri fan since 1994, the legend Vialli along the likes of Zola and Baggio made me support them. From a Chelsea perspective, Vialli was one of those that played a huge role in making the club famous in the modern era. This was before the Abrahamovic's money.
Always so articulate and friendly whenever I saw him speak on the tv throughout my childhood. What a man … one of the good guys such a shame. Descansa em paz Gianluca
boy, he had really completed club football. Champions League, Serie A Winner, UEFA Cup, Cup Winners Cup, domestic cup. And remember, that was a time when the UEFA Cup was a top competition and Serie A the best league in the world.
Won serie a with Sampdoria too. Top player and top human being. Florenzi thanked Vialli on public Press before answering any questions After winning the Euros 2020. That's how much he was important for that group and for Mancini as well.
he was the capten of captens he was a symbol for us in black and white, glad italy won euros for him to lift one more trophy! you are so darn misst Capitano
Would just like to say this was a genuinely touching tribute, really appreciate hearing about Vialli’s life from Frank and Craig, who were clearly shaken up, and understandably so. Cheers gents, my thoughts are with you
With Sampdoria he also won a Cup Winners' Cup, that was important at that time and he scored the 2 goals of the final, and reached Champions League Final, which was quite an achievement with that club
Hearing frank talk about vialli made me feel like crying as fan's we are happy to see player's wining and the club successful we don't and will never know how they feel when there up and down
The only football book I‘ve read to this date is “The Italian Job“. The book says a lot about this man‘s thought process. Must have been great in person.
Just saw Chelsea’s tribute - What a talent. There were a lot of Leboeuf hugs after those goals. My heart goes out to the family and to you and Craig, Monsieur Frank.
Lovely Tributes for no doubt someone who sounds like a terrific human being. And I guess that’s what it boils down to. When at the end, all the titles, all the glory, all the success is stripped down, it’s the person who is left and if you were a gem of a person, like Luca was, then highest praise achieved = life goal accomplished. Rest in peace special one. Your purity, dare I say, perhaps deserved the stars more than being with us, hence god took you away sooner 💙
Frank and Craig look and sound absolutely broken and shocked. The news has certainly hit them and hit them very, very hard. Gianluca had a massive impact and presence at the club, in the team and the dressing room. There cannot be any disputing of the fact that not one former or current Chelsea player is not moved by what has happened in the last 24 hours, because they have been moved and Gianluca's death is a horrible, terrible blow to not the club, Italy and the rest of the world, but most importantly his family.
A great tribute and apparently even stone faced Souness was absolutely distraught this week when trying to talk about the great man. The highlights reels tell only part of the story but what a player what a man.
Why can't these multi-million-worth ex-footballers get decent cameras and mics for their remote calls? It's not like the calls are a one-of, they do them multiple times per week
@@stefano_etrusco it is happening world wide .people recovering cancer returning and people getting cancer and going straight to stage 4.also a lot of athletes etc dieing of heart attacks.
You can hear the sadness in Craig's voice, it's not many times you'll hear Burley be so emotional 🤗
We Scots can be very soft, believe me lad.

Wow. Great tribute by Frank.
Beautiful tributes by Frank and Craig.
Luca’s one of the big reasons why I’m a Chelsea fan.
Perfect tribute to Gianluca, thanks guys. I’m proud to say he played like a champion for all my favourite teams …Juve, Chelsea and Gli Azzurri 🙏🇮🇹☮️
Vialli is Always TOP CLASS, BOTH in Football and Most Importantly as a Person.
Thank You for this acknowledgement, ESPN FC.

Moving tributes from both Craig and Frank. Grazie.
Vialli, what a man. Everyone has only good to say about him.

Frank touches my heart. Thanks for that Vialli was an authentic person and future legend

The world has lost an amazing man today. Thank you for the memories gianluca. Sleep well.

Vialli is a man who invented a modern Italian play style for English football along with his teammate Gianfranco Zola.
The sadness, tributes and sentiments from fans of so many clubs are a true indication of how much Vialli was genuinely loved. Huge loss.
Great Player...R.I.P..
Rest easy Luca 😔 Chelsea legend 🏴💙🇮🇹
Seems like he was a gentleman and one of the good guys in football. Everyone speaks very highly of him.
I remember when I was playing under 11s back in the early 90s and he was my favorite player
I am and shall always be a Gainluca Vialli fan. Grazie fratello. La tua vita era una gioia.

This is so sad, I remembered him as coach player back then, while I was a kid
Very touching funny& emotional tributes to very very nice man😊🕊RIEP Mr Vialli🕊
Great tribute from the blues players. Awesome people
Sad news for us, especially being a Juve and Italy fan, he's done a lot for us and may he rest in peace 💔
Excellent player and amazing character. His eloquent mastery of the english language - didn't they record him reading bedtime stories to toddlers?

I had leukemia when I was younger and when Frank said that about his hair I started laughing so hard. It is true we do hate when our heads go bald.
Behind Craig it looks like there is a perfect frame for Gianluca....it fits perfectly
He was magnificent player and class
Rest in Peace Vialli
Rest In Peace
Humble man. Football society lost great man
He looked like a Rugby player. Looks over 200lbs easy. It’s amazing how different players from the 90s to mid 2000s look compared to players nowadays.
A great tribute and apparently even stone faced Souness was absolutely distraught this week when trying to talk about the great man. The highlights reels tell only part of the story but what a player what a man.
A very nice remembrance guys!
Espn u guys should have had ADP talk about vialli
Doubt he would be able to come out today
rest in peace vialli
Missing to get his years debut n football with Cremonese! His home town!
Arrivederci Luca.Grazzie mille!
Vialli's presence in the dressing room won Italy the European Cup.
Super nice, guys! Bravo!
I'd have liked to have had Vialli at Rangers. Along with Graeme, of course.
Good one, Craig. 😙
My Idol
waiting for Marcotti's tribute..
