One of the best mixtapes I’ve heard….
I’m probably not the typical public enemy fan, but they set my life up without me even knowing it, back in 88 as a 7 year old. my old man fixed a turntable from a second hand store.(1200 technics)
So with one turntable and a very basic knowledge, I proceeded to purchase my first vinyl, the front cover grabbed my attention and as they say the rest is history..
As I grew older and all my friends and family couldn’t get it… being a white lad listening to it takes a nation of millions over and over every beat,drop,fade and word lyric I just got it….
So from that single second hand turntable, to djing all over Europe…

True story: back in the early 90s, I am about to cross this street in the Fordham Rd. section of The Bronx and there is a guy all disheveled with wild hair to boot. This individual almost got hit by a car. I pulled him back to really see and LO AND BEHOLD - IS FLAVOR FLAV!!! He was high as a kite! As I pulled him back, I told him to watch out for the cars he almost got hit. His reply: he laughed at me and said "COLD MEDINA" 😂 crazy FLAV!!! I used to see him sometimes around The Bronx neighborhoods those early days. I hope he kicked the habit since then.
