I had always loved going up to a teacher with my book in hand to ask them a question on where to find something challenging. Watching them become focused as they skim the page, then reaching to flip the page/rubbing it to ensure there's only one page they're flipping to and not two and then they slowly flip the page from right to left skimming through the words again. Bonus points if they press their finger on the page so I can follow along with their eyes. Extra bonus points if they have to flip backwards because they believe they missed it. Such a relaxing moment having someone else helping you so you can just shut your brain down for a moment.
This is strangely satisfying. I was in the drs office today and a man in the waiting room was doing this when he was filling out forms. I was dozing off to it 😂 then he stopped and I was like "awww" So nice to find this
Had my first asmr experience when I was about 10 years old (women page flipping through a magazine with finger licking haha). Couldn't explain it, thought I was crazy. Then one time I fell asleep when our insurance broker filled out a form when I was about 25 years old. He could have sold me anything that day :-P Discovered that there is a whole community experiencing the same phenomenon when I was 35. Thanks RUclips and all the beautiful RUclipsrs who actually upload such great videos :)
loved this video it's made me so relaxed. maybe add a bit of slow hand movements touching the pages and also grabbing a few pages at a time and running them together before turning the page. subscribed to ur channel ur now my go to asmr artist well done xxxxxx
as a child I hated seeing this. I don't like body fluids. when teachers would do this when handing out papers I didn't want to touch the papers. I don't know if it's because I don't have to touch the paper but I love hearing this in videos. It gives me so much tingles.
Juan Valencia the comment has absolutely nothing to do with her ability to respond to a request that was given to her and I don't know if your eyes happened to see past my comment but she herself commented that she finds it disgusting. I didn't mean to offend because after all I am human. I do not categorize myself as anything else and my body does indeed contain all the necessary body parts and therefore I do indeed produce bodily fluids and waste. As you do not know me you wouldnt know that I do in fact find my own bodily fluid disgusting. Im 100% sure that if someone licked their fingers right before touching and handing any object to you you would find it even a little gross. If you didnt find it even a little gross you wouldnt have any sense of hygiene whatsoever. some people find mucus gross. some people find feces gross. I happen to find any bodily fluid disgusting which again has nothing to do with her. I never once said she did not do a good job. I think she did a wonderful job or else I wouldn't have sat here through the entire video.

The only outlier was the 7.5 pages per turn for the Scarpetta Factor. Plotting the page turns in a linear regression model, discarding the Scarpetta Factor, the slope-intercept formula is y=52.52x+10.82. y = the number of pages in any given book. Lastly, not in the data, is the awesomeness of this video. Most of you probably lost your ability to tingle. I, too, haven't tingled in years. Watching this today in the early morning hours, I tingled. It's a relief to know that with a superb content creator like Mary, we can recover the ability to tingle. Thanks, Mary! Wishing you well.
When you lick your fingers, it is the most audible of all the videos I've seen, and that makes your video top of the line, Superior ASMR. Thank you. It's very relaxing!
The best Page Turning video so far... of them all. Flawless and audible finger licking and a brief examination of the pages. Plus dense sounding pages being turned. A methodical master of finger licking page-turning ASMR. XOXO
You should have a disclaimer before your videos. MAY CAUSE EXTREME TINGLES FOLLOWED BY NARCOLEPTIC TENDENCIES. It's quite obvious you experience ASMR as evidenced by your hand movements. They are very slow and gentle. Perfect. This video forced me into a mid day nap.
I love this so much for the sounds. I wouldn't even mind a louder crinkling. I just listen to the audio for those anxiety ridden nights, when I need something to calm my mind. You could loop the sound. I would love a piece, where you peel eggs. The eggshells crinkling and cracking is such a strong trigger. Thank you, for the time you put into helping us sleep and relax.

I don't think anyone knows how long it took me to re-find this video. All the rest lick their finger too noisily and the pages are too loud. This one? Perfect 👌
There also putting alot of germs in there mouth when they do this. Which I dont know how they didnt realized that other people and things touch the books as well.
Anyone else have those moments in class where you would be working on something with a partner and they start sorting though their papers, the gears in their brain turning, skimming amongst the words on the page.... Oddly enough those were the most satisfying things in school for me. I felt more at ease in those moments than when I'd be relaxing in the comfort of my home.
Maybe you could do a sounds video making crinkles with the plastic covers? I think that the crinkles actually sound a bit like the mouth sounds you make in this video, but skirts the germ issue. Also I bet opening the books page side down on the table and using a makeup brush down the plastic cover (you know how they kind of bubble up over the spine?) would be a great trigger too! :)
Always makes me feel relaxed in maths class when the lecturer does it. So now I know why haha , thank you! I really didn't think anyone would do such specific asmr :)
Very relaxing. You asked for book suggestions. I buy a lot of books from charity shops or old book stores. I make a little solution of water and disinfectant and gently spray the plastic covers with it then wipe them down with a soft cloth. With the cloth I then wipe the inside of the hard covers and possibly some of the pages if it's a bit of a dusty book. Finally the closed book will be wiped down on the outside edge of the pages. I love your channel the bitchy librarian is one of my favourites. Keep them coming and thank you.
Hi Mary, I very much enjoy the library videos. I would like to request soemthing similar, which is my #1 tingle inducer...filing and organizing office papers. If you don't already have that on your long request list. Thanks! 🌞🌻🌹
ahhhh, this reminds me of when I used to take afternoon naps in the middle school library, soooo relaxing :) thank you so much for making so many book videos and helping me discover a new ASMR trigger
Best one I've seen by far. A lot of the others just seem way too unnatural...constantly looking at the camera and smiling...really slow, awkward unnatural page turning...etc. Great job on this :)
I’ve always thought this was weird af when teachers did it but now I love it in ASMR, I’m happy I found a new trigger And am I the only one getting full body tingles from this? Lol Like I can feel my knees legit having very very soft tingles
I used to love this when I had a tutor one on one in elementary school and they would go through the pages of a packet or book to go over an assignment it was my favorite. I wouldn’t pay attention because of the tingles I would feel. Or when I would partner up with another student to take turns reading a book or when a student would be writing I would feel the tingles and get soooo sleepy. Whenever they stopped I wanted them to keep going so I can keep feeling tingles but I’d never say anything because I didn’t want them to think I was weird for that
I installed Magic Actions for RUclips extension because it has a loop feature and soft fucus filter. I sat at my desk after work and looped this while I slept in my chair for 6 hours. Is was magical.
Well this goes against my theory that I was immune to asmr videos. Haven’t had much luck with any these days, until right now! Tingles up the sides of my head until they reach the top. Very relaxing. Thank you Southern. You’re the best 👍🏼
The licking of the fingers is more satisfying than the page turning. Having a heck of a time keeping my eyes open. I could also listen to this as I fall asleep in bed. ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
Just some courteous criticism and I'm sure people would agree. You should put the camera a bit lower, so we can hear the pages better, and also it would be nice if you gripped the pages with your fingers a bit. It's quite a relaxing sound when you have it all going at once :)
Very relaxing... but I gotta say having worked in a library and seen what patrons DID to books (and it's obvious that these are in fact library discards) I'm hard pressed to think you didn't get sick after this....
This sounds like an agressive webtoon story.
Ima just leave you and your pages alone for a little bit
Matt Layne dude, that’s the most stressful part.
totally agree
why does this sound so sexual

I'm sitting in a waiting room at the doctor's office and I heard a old man doing it and I got tingles so I was like I'ma watch some page flipping asmr
So relate hahaha

pretty sure we all feel the same way haha

I searched "why do people lick their fingers when turning a page" and this showed up...
My grandfather and teachers did this while reading to me when I was younger and it was very relaxing.
There also putting alot of germs in there mouth when they do this. Which I dont know how they didnt realized that other people and things touch the books as well.

Best flipping pages video you have!!!! And ive seen them all (or most of them)
I have a really hard time getting tingles when the video is on purpose, I know it sounds crazy but this one got me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
This video remembers me times I was waiting for the doctor and other patients were reading magazine. One of the first time I felt asmr...
I don't know why but back in school I always found this so soothing when they did it but I don't know why they did it
This is so good especially when u turned the hard covers because of the sticky crinkle noise 😍
So here I am . Can’t sleep. 6 minutes of this an I will be out. So many of your videos help me relax. Thank you!
your library ones are fantastic

I watched this for sleeping so many nights. Thx!
Oh my! Never gets old :)
I wish you would do more of these videos, its sooo relaxing!! 4 stars for you on this video!!
This is my all time favorite of yours 😊
Brain melting
I never understood this, here I am 2 in the morning looking up why people like there finger to turn pages lmao. It always made me angry
im fall a sleep 5 min later when i was whatching this video. i cant believe it 😍😍😍
The licking of the fingers is more satisfying than the page turning. Having a heck of a time keeping my eyes open. I could also listen to this as I fall asleep in bed. ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
Just what i wanted! Phenomenal:)
still one of your best video's in my opinion.
I wasn't even sure I would like this video but it knocked me out in like 3 seconds Lol
Super relaxing😪😪love it!
I just love this video ♥️
works EVERY time
I love the description of this video 😂
Half of these views are me. The absolute best video.
Just some courteous criticism and I'm sure people would agree. You should put the camera a bit lower, so we can hear the pages better, and also it would be nice if you gripped the pages with your fingers a bit. It's quite a relaxing sound when you have it all going at once :)
Remember when we used to flip so fast in a chapter book and say "done" as well tried to show off, as if we read fast? Yeah me neither.
Very relaxing... but I gotta say having worked in a library and seen what patrons DID to books (and it's obvious that these are in fact library discards) I'm hard pressed to think you didn't get sick after this....
Puts me to sleep!!
Since I was a baby!!
There's a global pandemic going on I'm inside home and this popped up and I watched this in my lolniless
Where?
ho una collega di lavoro che è come questa donna. Ogni volta che vado da lei non verrei più via...mi rilassa da morire!!!
amazing video thank u
I Love this in a weird way ..I don't care I'll admit it !!
Why do people lick their fingers before turning a page? It looks like a normal thing to do but it’s weird when you think about it
i really love it!
putting saliva through a good book !
I think so ASMR book review video would be amazing...
Once my tutor did this and i thought it was weird how my hairs went up so i put my sleeves down XD
GOLDps2 I can relate. It’s a huge trigger of mine and it’s so weird but. Idk. It always gives me tingles every-time.
Maybe the best finger licking video. Very nice 👍
Какая же прекрасная женщина!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Strangely relaxed
This is video great ! Relax night for thank you.
I love your videos♥️😍
Would be better if you actually used sticky fingers on the pages. There's no noise....
