Anne says "carriages" not "coaches" Preston train not going via Birmingham New Street. Why? I like the graphics at the bottom. I like the colors. They help me understand everything. How can Anne make such precise announcements? I know there are common parts that are easier, but Coaches C and U aren't always unreserved. Lot of non-stopping trains at Platform 8
My understanding is that the train information for carriages, first class etc is fed through by Darwin to the CIS at the stations on the route. It then uses the TOC’s recordings they have to display/announce the information. Some TOCs prefer carriages over coaches, so not to confuse passengers into thinking there are literally coaches waiting outside!
@@jamiesbusrailandannoucneme1667 Yes, I've been informed the only thing fed through Genius is actually the number of coaches. Everything else has been loaded in by WMT based on the formation. Every day's a school day!
