Someone should do a video on when your mic isn't working on any app.

mine only works for some time after restarting the phone what could be the problem and guesses?
The only way to fix mine was to replace the board that has the mic and usb-c. It wasn't too hard to do
Give a normal call to somebody. It reactivates the mic

My microphone 1 was'nt working I tried everything and even had samsung support reset everything nothing working i saw ur video and used a staple clip as a last resort i inserted it and inserted in the mic hole gently and blew out hard and It worked YAAAAAAYYYY you are a genius Thank you sir

I have tried everything on youtube and I also called Samsung. They were absolutely worthless. You had the most information, but it still did not work. The message mic disappared after an update. I uninstalled the update, but that didn't work either. I need my mic for txt msg. You were my last hope.

Man its still unresponsive. I'm running Android 13 and a friend of mine has a different brand phone running Android 12 which works fine with my headsets.

6.1 update in 2024 has totally messed up my microphone. Still doesn't work.
bro same, since updating to 6.1 the microphone does work bur it makes a weird sound when recording, you know a way how to fix?

@genecode999 I ended up finding the camera on my Galaxy s22 at the very bottom left of the screen. Not in the best place, but they did totally move it.🤔
I have 5.1 and it doesn't work
I got my new galaxy S23 ultra and while recording video it has very loud background sound. Contacted samsung customer service and after diagnoses found out it's microphone problem. Even on call my voice appears very law and not clear. Samsung should not be selling such defective phones at all! They want to get it repaired, why would you want to pay big $ for the phone after it needs to be repaired? I think samsung is going to loose customers big time!
I have a phone malfunction. Why is my voice heard in all communications except in the video call, no one hears me? Even though I gave all permission to the phone microphone. My phone is M12 samsung😔

The mic works fine after restarting the phone but only last for a day or two. I have to restart the phone everyday

Saw in the comment section to use a staple clip to clean Mic 1 and voilaaaa it's working perfectly. Amaaazing
My WhatsApp voice ain't working plus imo and also camera for video call,,, but the normal call it's fine somebody can hear me,,, problem it's on WhatsApp imo Google meet call app,,,, how can I fix this please 😢.

my mic only works when speaker is on. i admit I did accidentally drop phone onto hard surface. Rest of phone works ok, but speaker must be on to use mic. Any ideas?
Bacially your phone have 2 microphones you can go to setting and then device care and the n diagnostic in that select mic you can run a test there and know that which mic is not working usually when your speaker is on and then microphone works it mean your first mic is having a problem.
One mic at bottom and one at top
I don't get the issue. My phone still can receive and send calls with my voice, but when I use the voice recorder it can't even record anything. I know that's its a very useless default app for everyday carry, but its kinda important for recording during classes and survey (currently working on my college thesis)

nice info, didn't work. my phone mic only works on speaker setting. I think the ap dog whistle destroyed my phone mic. It was fine before I used their ap, now nothing I've tried has fixed my Samsung A15. At least this gave me hope to try. thanks

My Mic no. 1 was not working. I sent mine to service center and was informed that they have to change the lcd. As lcd comes with mic and speaker. 😢

My sound goes off on my videos after 5 minutes on all videos after Samsung Galaxy was updated I been trying to find out why for a week many videos no answer to this problem. Also at the end of video when I edited it says can't play video. Update destroyed my knew phone.

HELLO, I HAVE THE GALAXY S23 ULTRA. I TRIED EVERYTHING YOU SUGGESTED AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. WHEN I DID A SYSTEM CHECK, THE RESULTS SAID MIC 1 NOT WORKING.

@@PixelPerInch33 yeah. i ended up turning on safe mode and tested out voice recordings on there. it ended up working. so i turned it off and restarted my phone and boom. it started working again.
temporary solution is restart @@PixelPerInch33

When I call the mic don't work on speaker but when it is agents my ear
My microphone is so quiet but for calls people can hear me fine it's only for voice notes. Which is really annoying because I use voice notes more than text. Any ideas??
