I agree with the comments below that the video is poor. But I also agree with the comments that the printed material does explain it well when you read slowly and really slow down when you're installing. And since getting it installed Ive now re-watched this video and it seems completely fine. I think the problem for me initially is that this install was quite different to the capsule and small harnessed seat I had installed previously. (Click Read more for my install tips) Key Install Points: * see in the video at 1.12. You need to put the top of the seatbelt over the front of the seat so it will always be visible. this threw me a bit. The bottom of the seatbelt goes in front of the armrest. *from here the hardest bit is keeping the seatbelt out at full stretch, while also threading it through the seat with no twists. just go slow, and be prepared to start again from scratch if you slip and let the seatbelt start going back to early. * thread the seatbelt through the gap between armrest and seat, right behind the whole seat so the seatbelt would be between the ChildSeat and the actual seat of your car. * again dont let the seatbelt twist as you're threading it through (you'll wish you had 3 hands) * pop the seatbelt out through the gap between the arm rest and the seat on the other side * split the seatbelt and put either side of the armrest (above and below, 1.27 on the video) and plug in * push down into the seat and slowly remove all slack in the seatbelt. I do this within reason. NOTE: i have the Prime AP, but its essentially the same chair with a different cover.
my issue is how do you take it out with alr activated which stops you from pulling your seatbelt out to get back over the armrest to retract it. installed easily, almost have to cut it out to remove it which is a waste of money or have to keep taking the car back to dealership who remove the seat to get to mechanisim
It is unclear how this is supposed to be installed. The information pack that comes with the chair and this video do not match in their instructions. Do you thread the seatbelt between the (front side) of the seat plastic and the seat padding? OR behind the seat plastic and infront of the 'trim' .. confusing.
Kate Yonge You would think there would be some sort of QC or at least and engineer check it all over. I think a 6 year old could write better instructions. Seems these car seat companies are like selling snail oil its easy to install..... But no one in the company has ever installed one of there car seats.
Video is wrong might as well just put your kid on the back seat of the car as when you follow the video the seat is lose as. Instructions do not help either.
Omg I've been installing this chair incorrect all the time since I've brought it luckily I haven't crashed. Thanks for this video ☺️

I figured it out by reading the instructions on the back of the chair.

Martina bishop - no response. Thread the seatbelt behind the total seat not just the padding. It's a hard seat to install but once in it's been fine.

Kate Yonge Hi, did you get a reply, I am wondering the same thing.

This is the most unhelpful video. And there's no instructions with the box!

the instructions are terrible....
