so little comments out there, but i must say that this transcription shows all Bill''s magic - when he plays, you can think that its easy, because there is no tension in his sound, but when you see the notes and try it by yourself you're like "wtf this is insane".. 0:471:101:32 jeeez
@@davidsereno935 You would think so.. But lead and solo trombone in jazz live above the staff (with exceptions of course, there's some killer bass bone players out there)
It's really just quickly lipping up to the partial above while moving the slide to the next note. So it becomes F then a quick lip slur to the G while moving to the E. It makes more sense when you try it on the horn.
"Sorry, not able to decipher". I love that! A possibly unintended compliment to Bill's skills.
That "not able to decipher part" has some serious Fourth Floor Walk Up vibes 😍🥰
How does he get so silky smooth and comfortable sounding in that extreme high range? I've played trombone since the late 90s and can't do that.
I really love your honesty... 🤣🤣🤣Otherwise a great transcription. 🖖
Wow. This is my favorite watrous solo, thank you for transcribing!!!

I assumed this was an alto trombone, but either way dam those high notes sound so heavenly and easy

@@davidsereno935 Nah Bill always played on a tenor
