Looks like Elena tried to mix it up a little in the end but is not used to that, and thus failed. Hopes she learns from this match and wins another slam some day. Big congratulations to Barbora! 🌟
Not certain that it's really grunting in quite a few cases, there's quite a lot of squawking and howling, the timing of which, have little to do with exertion per se. Most of the perpetrators seem quite unwilling to discuss the matter openly in public which suggests that there may be some hindering going on.
What she's done so well is to play grass court tennis and her usage of the slice off both sides is what drove both Rybakina and Ostapenko crazy. She will do the same to Jasmine in the final because she will force Jasmine to create her own pace and thus Jasmine, if she's not playing out of her mind, will just like the other two, make more errors than usual. Barbora can hit big and can caress the ball and on grass that is key.
Slice works much better against tall heavy-hitters than against small fast runners. Jasmine may have trouble generating pace, since she's not strong, but low bouncing balls are not a problem for her as they are for Ostapenko, Rybakina or Sabalenka.
@@rafarequeni822 On grass, a really good slice and/or sidespin works wonders on grass regardless of the height of the opponent. What makes it so effective against anyone is that slice or sidespin not only bounces lower, but bounces back in the direction it came, in the case of underspin, then curls away or if it's sidespin, thus the opponent is forced to not only generate their own pace, but must have effective length on their shots. Worse, given both ladies are right handed, for Jasmine, a sliced backhand from Barbora, with some sidespin as well, will require an extra step forward and to get right for Jasmine, and the complete opposite on her forehand. Remember, Barbora effectively also slices and sidespins the forehand. Few players can do this on that wing. Excellent weapon. Jasmine is lower to the ground, so that helps her, but again, this makes it an interesting balancing act. Grass makes this particularly effective against an opponent. If Barbora is as effective with it as she was in the last two matches, it will cause issues for Jasmine. That does not mean that Jasmine cannot win the match. She may not be baited into as many mistakes. They've played once before, but that was six years ago, so this is a new day. Good luck to both. Given this is the second straight slam final for Jasmine, hopefully she will not be in awe of the moment. Barbora will not. She's the 2021 French Open champion 🏆 so she's been there, done that. She has already won a singles slam and ten doubles/mixed doubles slams so she'll feel right at home. Jasmine will win if she plays the match of her life, which she is certainly capable of, say they both being their absolute best. I believe it's that is the case, it will be a great experience for all of us watching. I hope we have that one coming in that final, as well as the men's final.
@@JamesHarris-hl2bm I so hope for a great final to see. I wish both could win. On the issue of the slice, the curvy, heavy topspin forehand of Paolini is a much better weapon to attack the sliced balls than the flat, shoulder hit top-down strikes that the ones like Rybakina, Sabalenka or Swiatek rely on.
Yes Rybakina's serve is huge and she hit more aces but Barbora really served amazing in the crucial moments and that's what matters the most. The way she was escaping the break points was truly remarkable and that is what I admire the most about her ,the mental toughness.I think her mentality is one of the best in women tennis besides her exceptional tennis skills.Really happy for her and I hope she wins the final on Saturday.
Both Krejcikova and Paolini are gritty and determined. I’m excited for the finals. I give an initial edge to Krejcikova but I think Paolini can take it in a close 3-set final if she gets enough rest from the semis. Let’s go!
Rybakina is a lot like Kvitova, huge game and when she is on she is unstoppable. But she lacks a B plan and that's a huge problem in these big matches when there are a lot of ups and downs. Krejcikova can play huge too but she is good at the net and she can defend. And today she was simply better
Rybakina had 36 unforced errors but many winners. Krejcikova played almost perfectly though. And barely won. It’s very hard to win grand slams. Very hard. And Krejcikova has already won one.
Expected? I mean everywhere I looked people were saying Rybakina (one of the BIG 3) was the projected winner and the best player on the grass. We can never underestimate what can happen in the tennis world.
Rybakina is still the best grass player in the recent 2-3 years... The all of her losses came from former top 2 players (Sabalenka, Jabeur, Krejcikova) and all of them ended in 3 sets... It's not only about the titles, it's about the consistency, which she definitely has. She has the playing style to be the best on grass, just her tennis didn't work against Krejcikova, who is one of hell of opponent to every top player...
Barbora is like the current Roger Federer of Women's tennis. So much variety and strategy. Power players have no chance against her. She's guaranteed hall of fame entry just by reaching this final, + her doubles career.
Unless I'm mistaken, this will be 7 different Wimbledon Champions in 7 years? 😯🤨 That alone must be some kind of record. Martina Navratilova's 9 Grand Slam record is safe for at least the next 8 years. Incredible record. Will it ever be broken I wonder? 🤔 Who could do it?
@@razz.8925 Chris Evert holds 7 titles. Swiatek holds 4 and she's only 23. Yes absolutely. Considering her dominance on that surface I'd be more surprised if she didn't break the RG record.
Barbora played more safe with less unforced errors than most of her opponents but can sometimes pull out deadly strike when it matters, she reminds me of Marketa last year but Barbora has better offense
Rybakina has talent but like almost every current player they don't have a 2nd snd 3rd gear they can go to when things get tight. Rybakina was too dependent on her serve and a player like Krejcikova is going to battle. Credit to BK she was the steadier player by far in terms of ground strokes
Rybakina's failing is her lack of a killer instinct. When she realized she was winning the first set quite handily and Krejcikova was at a loss on what to do, she took her foot off the gas and Krejcikova took advantage of that. In the second set, Rybakina was serving abysmally and that's when Krejcikova took the momentum and was able to play her game and take Rybakina out of her rhythm. The same thing happened to her in the Madrid semifinal against Sabalenka. She was trashing Sabalenka in the first set and she relaxed in the second set which proved to be her undoing. Rybakina is unlike Swiatek and Sabalenka who will crush their opponent in the second set when they win the first set easily.
@@tennisobserver995 There's some truth to that but I also saw her forehand just break down and she got erratic with the forehand. She seems to have an aversion to get in a real dogfight slug it out type of match. That's going to have to change
@@ivandesantis858 Actually, in the first set Barbora was targeting Rybakina's forehand because it's the side perceived to break down more easily than the backhand. That didn't work though as Rybakina just kept on hitting winners from that wing while Barbora's forehand kept spraying errors in forehand to forehand rallies. When Rybakina's first serve percentage went down Barbora switched tactics and directed her returns to Rybakina's backhand so it will become a backhand to backhand duel. Krejcikova's backhand is her best weapon because it is very accurate, has a lot of variety and she rarely makes errors from that wing. That was when BK was able to play her game, incorporating more slices and drop shots which took Rybakina out of her rhythm. What Rybakina should have done is to direct BK's backhand rally balls to the center of the court just slightly to the deuce side so BK will be forced to use her forehand which is very erratic. In this match, Rybakina rarely loses forehand to forehand rallies, but BK also wins almost all of the backhand to backhand rallies. The problem for Rybakina was that from the second set onwards there were rarely forehand to forehand exchanges because BK steers Rybakina's second serve with a neutral shot to her backhand so it will become a backhand to backhand exchange. Still, as well as BK was playing, Rybakina could still have won this match were it not for the fact that Krejcikova was serving out-of-this-world during break points which is not really characteristic of her. Rybakina is still the better grass court player and I am quite sure she will be able to beat BK the next time they play on grass. She just had a bad serving day, which could be because she had only one match before Wimbledon due to illness so she lacked stamina and her lack of match fitness caught up with her in that match. From what I saw it takes Barbora's highest level to beat Rybakina on her worst performance at Wimbledon.
Rybakina continues to disappoint despite having multiple formidable weapons. I’m afraid she might end her career remembered as the most talented one Slammer who has the most WTA500 titles. It’s quite frustrating to be her fan pining for her to eventually and hopefully shine in the major tournaments.
She’s a bit overated. She misses too much. Not a lot of margin for error on her shots when she’s off. She’s more likely to lose to weaker players than Iga or Sabalenka.
There are many rounds in a GS. As such, for a woman to go deep, their physical stamina will be at the limit, flattening the remaining field to become a role-a-dice situation. It is what it is, no need to over-think it.
Not only is Chris Evert unable to pronounce Elena’s last name, she also can’t keep herself from noting how “icy” and “emotionless” she is every two seconds. I’m really happy for Barbora even though I wasn’t rooting for her, but honestly Chris Evert ruined this match for me with her commentary, I had to mute it after a while😂
@@isamn7319 oh yes... she was, more than ice. She always gave the impression that she was arrogant. But great player, loved the duells her and Steffi !
I would have to say Ryba beat herself in the head , repeatedly, with her unforced errors, leading to her demise. Sometimes u defeat urself unknowingly , unwillingly, just caught up in your own turmoil. And then the Stamina Factor starts to kick in, ,,,along with the tedious injuries here and there,,, and your mental takes a hard kickback,, and find yourself drowning in your own atmospheric pressure . Where's the release gauge?? To ease the pressure buildup?? Good Match!!
Rybakina loses a lot of these close matches. But I wouldn’t be criticizing her too much if I was a fan of any of the other top players, because she still has the game to beat anyone on any surface. She’ll be a serious threat at the Olympics.
@@bartoszbrozek5176She needs to work on variety, especially a better drop shot, and not be afraid to slice now and then. Good luck for another slam win soon!
Elena not making enough first serves was her undoing. Unfortunately she couldn't also break Krejcikova after the first set so there was literally no way for her to get back into the match. It is what it is. Elena has no other alternatives if serve isn't working and she isn't just hitting power winners all around
She needs to have other weapons besides the serve when she isn’t serving an ace every service game. Her movement doesn’t need to be as bad as it is and someone needs to tell Rybakina she isn’t Pliskova.
This is not an opportunity Rybakina should have missed to equalize Sabalenka's number of slam wins. She missed it big time and proved why Iga and Aryna are class apart from her. 😢
If Barbora wins on Saturday, that would make her a 2 time slam singles champ! Add that to her 7 doubles slam titles, 3 mixed slams titles AND Olympic gold doubles medal. That's an amazing trophy case & a certified hall of fame career!
Barbora is a dangerous player who’s capable of upsets and she’s a grandslam champion. Great effort from Rybakina, I think the difference with them is the variety, I feel Barbora has more. 😊
Love it when the more talented player wins. Those back of the court power players are very boring to watch, when it's time to slice/dropshot/volley/lob, their shot quality goes down and unforced errors up.
Barbora rozpoznaje swoje rywalki w pierwszym secie. Kiedyś wysoko, do zera przegrała seta nr 1 z Sabalenką.
No i jeszcze były dwa mecze a dokładnie 1 set i supertiebreak na pokazówce w Abu Zabi w grudniu.
I posted after the Collins match that when she plays like that I think she is the #2 grass court player in the world and Rybakina was #1. She has a perfect grass court game. Huge serve, big forehand with shape that can also create angles, and a ton of variety with specifically the slice. Everyone dismissed her vs Penko and I said Penko struggles with big servers who have big groundstrokes. Sure enough she just had 3 receiving points that entire first set. People forgot how good Barbora can serve. I thought she would likely lose here although I thought she had the best shot of everyone remaining. Rybakina was all over the serve 1st set. Looked like a clear blowout. But Barbora hit her spots much better in the 2nd and 3rd and effectively chipped back in returns all day. Elena also probably didn't have her best serving day to help her, but first time I've seen Rybakina run over someone this bad 1st set and end up losing in a big match. All the diff looks Barbora threw at her eventually got her out of a rhythm. Love Paolini, but Barbora is the favorite on Saturday because of the serving adv and variety
Nur ballern reicht nicht 👍 es braucht auch einen gewissen Spielwitz 😊 Tschechische Festspiele: Navratilova, Mandlikova, Sukova, Novotna, Kvitova, Vondrousova, Krejcikova 🏆
As a fan of Rybakina, it was really hard to see her lose this time. Sometimes I feel like she lacks a bit of creativity. Losing in the Wimbledon semi-final this time will be something to regret for a long time. Opportunities like this don't come often.
Inteligentny i techniczny tenis.
So glad that serve bot is out of tournament. Rybakina has no variety in her game, lack of plan B. Krejcikova proved once again she is very smart and mentally strong. She is actually the only one who beat Swiatek twice in finals, so she is exceptional at handling pressure, and deserves to be multi grand slam winner. She proved by beating Ostapenko and Rybakina that she has fighting spirit that both of this one slam wonders are lacking. Rybakina lost so many matches in similar circumstances, I mean she starts well than her opponent slowly builds up and Rybakina is not able to go back to game. She can win if she is not big favourite or her opponent is not of highest class but when faced against someone serious who know how to win serious titles and when playing under pressure she fails very often. This match had similar scenario to last year game against Ons in Wimbledon or Sabalenka in AO final.

Let’s go!
Tenis de talento por fin . Fuera el juego de romper la bola
Very hard. And Krejcikova has already won one.
whats the B plan on your head?
@@josedimaano5538 variety. Drop shots, come to the net, not bashing every ball. Basically keep the ball playing till the momentum change
Kvitova is much better than rybakina
Barbie is on fire, match against on form Paolini should be fun to watch.
as long as jasmine wins.
Yes she is I'm sad of elena's loss, but I think barbora deserves the title now
No way Tortellini eliminated andreescu keys navarro and strong donna much harder conquest
@@PanzerCrewman The opponent today was no slouch lmao
@@PanzerCrewman Barbora eliminated higher ranked player like Rybakina Penko Collins
Expected random final, as tennis does not have a Queen of Grass, but only a Queen of Clay. Grats to this year's finalists.
Expected? I mean everywhere I looked people were saying Rybakina (one of the BIG 3) was the projected winner and the best player on the grass. We can never underestimate what can happen in the tennis world.
how is it random? both are seeded, Paolini is top 10, Babora is a slam champion, masters 1000 champion, 500 events
Grats is not an English word. Speak English properly or not at all.
So happy for Barbora - best of luck on Saturday!!!
That's Czech mate baby! ♟️😊
Just here to read the comments
Barbora is like the current Roger Federer of Women's tennis. So much variety and strategy. Power players have no chance against her. She's guaranteed hall of fame entry just by reaching this final, + her doubles career.
Excited to see a 1st time Wimbledon Wms Champion crowned.
@@ClarkGreaseballi thinks its unbreakable record.
Maybe swiatek but in RG.
@@razz.8925 Chris Evert holds 7 titles. Swiatek holds 4 and she's only 23. Yes absolutely. Considering her dominance on that surface I'd be more surprised if she didn't break the RG record.
Well done Barbora! 👏❤️
Barbora played more safe with less unforced errors than most of her opponents but can sometimes pull out deadly strike when it matters, she reminds me of Marketa last year but Barbora has better offense
Great game BK, so much variety and mental resilience, exposing one dimensional rybakina . True champion in this matchup.
Krejcikova vs Rybakina head to head 4-0 🎾🎾🏆
3:0 . Check again
3:0🤫🤫🤡🤡
Looks like "Rybaqueena" will remain a one-slam wonder for the time being.
Krejcikova is kryptonite to her 😮
Just like Ostapenko to Iga,4 0.
I'm so glad Barbora is back! Let's keep up to that 'I'm a part of big 4' statement, especially after this huge semi final performance!
❤🔥
Nice match.
Hopefully one of the finalists remains in top form for years to come.
Incredible edition, I love to see new faces battling for the title.
Both are my fave, sad yet happy at the same time...
looked like she was picking on Rybakina's backhand in some of the rallies.
As everyone should. Rybakina's forehand is quite something.
Rybakina continues to disappoint despite having multiple formidable weapons. I’m afraid she might end her career remembered as the most talented one Slammer who has the most WTA500 titles. It’s quite frustrating to be her fan pining for her to eventually and hopefully shine in the major tournaments.
She played too many tournaments!! She should be more selective!!
She’s a bit overated. She misses too much. Not a lot of margin for error on her shots when she’s off. She’s more likely to lose to weaker players than Iga or Sabalenka.
@@suarakeadilan8157 She’s a great player but her coach is a clown, he has no idea how to strategise a gameplan. Always talking during play STFU
She lacks stamina. She get exhausted quickly.
I’m really happy for Barbora even though I wasn’t rooting for her, but honestly Chris Evert ruined this match for me with her commentary, I had to mute it after a while😂
Exactly, who cares if she's icy. I loved her non-reaction when winning Wimbledon.
Chris Evert was the Queen of Ice in her days !! Come on Kettle !! I was annoyed as well by her commentary
@@isamn7319 oh yes... she was, more than ice. She always gave the impression that she was arrogant.
But great player, loved the duells her and Steffi !
I was tempted to turn off the tv as well because of Chrissy. I truly cannot stand when she commentates. She is too condescending.
@@nathaliethomas9719exactly! Can’t stand her commentary either…
What a lights-out service game she played to close the door on Rybakina.
"BARBORING" has come to life!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! 🖤♠
Rybakina loses a lot of these close matches. But I wouldn’t be criticizing her too much if I was a fan of any of the other top players, because she still has the game to beat anyone on any surface. She’ll be a serious threat at the Olympics.
she is too shy and sweet at those moments
She won't be any threat. Today's match just proves she is not really that champion as they call her. She is just one dimensional.
@@bartoszbrozek5176She needs to work on variety, especially a better drop shot, and not be afraid to slice now and then. Good luck for another slam win soon!
@@Harris19941 She needs a new coach, she has zero confidence with that narcissist clown in her box
She's a serious threat until she isn't.
Krejcikova plays old school tennis. Slice forehands, etc. Nice to watch...
Whoever uses the brain wins; whoever has more weapons under her sleeves wins.
So tennis is a combination of the mental and the physical. This is true insight.
Interestingly, there is only 17 days between the two finalists age wise.
Why does this channel always insist on giving the result away in the video titles?
Krejcikova played great here. Proved her doubters wrong. She has a great chance to win a 2nd slam.
I hope Barbora won Wimbledon this year..good luck
Elena not making enough first serves was her undoing. Unfortunately she couldn't also break Krejcikova after the first set so there was literally no way for her to get back into the match. It is what it is. Elena has no other alternatives if serve isn't working and she isn't just hitting power winners all around
I don't have all the stats but her 1st serve % on the tournament could be under 60%
She needs to have other weapons besides the serve when she isn’t serving an ace every service game.
37 unforced errors just isnt going to cut it :(
I reckon Vecic must have had a few dozen or so.had to have !
Both are first class. A great asset to the sport of tennis😀
Wow wow wow. Love krejcikova! Both the semi finals were top class!
1:23 wow
thanks, great shot! This year men cannot say that women tennis is boring. We've seen som really good matches!
Barbora❤❤❤
smh this year is just crazy. Rybankina should have won this match easily and messed around and loss????? wow
Love it when the more talented player wins. Those back of the court power players are very boring to watch, when it's time to slice/dropshot/volley/lob, their shot quality goes down and unforced errors up.
It ia funny how the winner of this year's wimbledon will end up in 2025 like vondrusova this year 😂
So true..nobody stated so, but it is obvious
Barbora rozpoznaje swoje rywalki w pierwszym secie. Kiedyś wysoko, do zera przegrała seta nr 1 z Sabalenką.
No i jeszcze były dwa mecze a dokładnie 1 set i supertiebreak na pokazówce w Abu Zabi w grudniu.
Rybakina's game right now is so predictable. She will start strong then get sloppy then choke in the end. 😢😢
its only about hitting hard
she doesnt move well, has no variation
and is vulnerable when opponent mixes it up like Krejcikova did
She's kind of a one trick pony. If she is off there's not a lot of margin for error on her shots so it can get away from her fast.
A Servebot.. Nothing more…
How sad this beautiful soul (Rybakina) lost to ...!
Ribakina sempre pipoca qdo chega, ela precisa trabalhar isso
Wow Krejcikova hitting the ball harder then Rybakina in some rally’s 😮
It would take someone like Barbora to stop Elena.
No grunting by either girl. Thanks.
I kinda like Rybakina, she is not a drama queen....

Wow!
Would never have expected krejcikova to reach the finals
She can definitely win the title
As a fan of Rybakina, it was really hard to see her lose this time. Sometimes I feel like she lacks a bit of creativity. Losing in the Wimbledon semi-final this time will be something to regret for a long time. Opportunities like this don't come often.
almost but never enough.

Krejcikova is the new Wimbledon champion 🎉 🏆🥇
Her reaction is verry beautiful 😊😊😊
Odpadla faworyzowana Rybakina, juz wieszczono ze wygra final z Paolini. 😅 Wygrala zawodniczka dysponujaca calym arsenalem umiejetnosci tenisowych, grajaca inteligentny tenis. Teraz starcia Krejcikova Rybakina 3:0
Inteligentny i techniczny tenis.
Oh wow they made it almost 6 minutes long
I don't understand how Rybakina could lose.
She lost 3 times against Krejcikova and has never beaten her. I can see how she lost.
Krejickova serves was much better than Rybakina on this match. The placement just magnificent
Krejcikova is good and also has nice proportionate legs
This tournament was your right unlucky ryba 😢😢
Congrats Barbora and great tournament Elena 👏👏👏
Another great run Elena!
They're both champions! Salute!
Barbora is one of the players that when given the chance to advance, she takes advantage of it greatly....Never play her in Quarters and up
Wow great win BK , some of the best tennis i have seen ever . I am 64 yrs old , lol.
Don't say 64, but 2 to the power of 6. Because 64 in binary is a beautiful rounded 1000000.
Krejcikova has the same habit as Ben Shelton of howling at the crowd every time she wins a point.
Can't wait to see Paolini and Krejcikova!
I will always like tactical, more versatile players like Krejcikova more than pure hitters like Rybakina. The variety and tennis smarts and experience beat Rybakina today.
