As a Muzungu, after watching the movie Nairobi Half Life, I'm no longer naive about Kenya or Uganda. I'm prepared!

The Chinese had a different money (FEC) for foreigners because they were aware that the value of the money is different. The food is still "cheap" to foreigners. Yves is not poor now. He gets tons of avocado for some pennies. What, until tourism is growing. Then people will complain about gentrification, like people in Barcelona. With the time passing, locals will pay more and damn tourists. If Yves was smart, he would invite locals everytime and have them pay. But he prefers to eat alone. He is always in a rush and quickly asks for the price, as if this would make a difference. Tourism is like that. He is also quite direct with his camera and gets nervous, when camera is not accepted. Compromises are important.
