Greetings! I'm glad you stopped by. This episode starts our journey moving up the neck of the baritone uke, as we build our super power of acoustic blues playing! Hope you enjoy... 😎
These lessons are awesome. I just purchased my second baritone ukulele and I am so happy to find this resource for learning the blues that I love so much.
@@fretfrontier I have a kala entry level model that sounds quite nice, but I also purchased a solid wood Luna with beautiful inlays and zebra wood body…it sounds luscious….
@Myers Wood Turning - oh both are great brands! As you see, I have the Kala baritone with the cutaway and so forth, it's my only baritone and a dream to play. I can imagine the Luna is also wonderful. Luscious is a good description, as I have the Luna concert vineyard Koa model... The inlays are stunning!
@mikestolz7199 - thanks on the t-shirt, it’s a pretty old one not sure where I got it, but it cracks me up too. can’t tell you how many unexpected short cut keys pets have activated laying on the keyboard over the years 🤣. On the coordination, Just go slow and your hands will pick up the patterns. A suggestion is to set your metronome to a slow speed like 50… and play the example thru move up 5 or 10 each time till you hit full temp. so 50, 55, 60, etc. you’ll get clean less stressed feeling results that way. even setting back to 35 is fine. the point is to start at at speed slow enough for you to play it clean and smooth and then slowly move up from there in the same practice session and you’ll see big gains. hope it helps! 🎶🎶
I have a baritone uke, and a tenor guitar w/steelstrings tuned DGBE. bouncing these blues lessons between them. having a lot of fun with the two presentions.
@Larry Bayard - Wow a baritone Uke and a tenor guitar, that’s great! A tenor guitar, there’s one I don’t have yet - how do you like it? Thanks for watching. I am very glad to hear you are enjoying the series!
@@fretfrontier the tenor guitar tuned DGBE is really fun. I enjoy it. In ensemble, it can add all manner of pleasing tones. Mine is an Ibanez, around $200. I have added a pick-up and cord jack.
well it's been a few weeks and i'm still working on the coordination. i know the muscle memory is forming but it's oh so slow...i got the t=shirt and i will continue to dream of becoming a super powered acoustic blues player.
@mikestolz7199 - you are forming the muscle memory! excellent! I’m so proud of you! Keep going, there is nothing wrong with slow. thanks for telling me of your progress. You are more than dreaming it, you are working on making it real! 😎👍
@2006sharonc - hi, these are items that I made up so there isn’t any book to get. I don’t have a way to share PDFs yet. hopefully for the interim you can take screenshots of the tabs? I hope you are enjoying the lessons, thanks for watching! 🎶🎶
