@@goodlucknyakila2020 the hymn was written by Enoch Sontonga, a Xhosa man in South Africa in the 1890s. but it was banned by the Apartheid government. Tanzania started using it as their anthem first, when they got independence.

Cameroonian anthem is so mature. Strong meaning, most organized of all these I listened to. It's one of the anthems I usually enjoy during the world cup or AFCOM. Super mature in all aspects.
Zimbabwe and Ghana laid down those harmonies like nobody's business. And Tanzania. My favorite is South African soulful harmony. I'm American.

American here. My personal favorite African anthem is Sierra Leone (High We Exalt Thee, Realm of the Free). Like others on the continent, it was written as part of a nationwide competition (John Akar, music and Clifford Nelson Fyle, lyrics). The version that gets passed around the most here on RUclips is a fairly old recording which adds to the charm, and there are no bells or whistles, just a nice melody and simple but effective harmonies.
In general I think Africa's anthems are terribly underrated and there are a lot of very nice pieces, many of which were mentioned in the video.

This is a great job, I don't know of the other country's anthem but I think you could've searched for the Ghana's original anthem.
Because it naturally has a very sensitive spirit which touches every true Ghanaian from head to toe.

I admire how the South African Anthem was actually a prayer for the whole of the continent. As someone who understands the Xhosa/Zulu language which have been interchangeable used on the first Stanza.

National Anthems of Tanzania🇹🇿, South Africa 🇿🇦 and Zambia🇿🇲 was all Composed by Enoch Sontonga, a South African composer.
And Philip Gbeho composed National Anthem of Ghana🇬🇭
They all sound beautiful.

Tanzania's anthem is a Swahili version of South Africa's anthem. Because of that I won't vote at at number 2.

@@vincentmunde1169 the hymn was written by Enoch Sontonga, a Xhosa man in South Africa in the 1890s, but it was banned by the Apartheid government. Tanzania started using it as their anthem first when they gained independence, but many countries sang it as a resistance song against colonialism
