    2016 Honda Accord EX vs 2016 Toyota Camry SE - 2 great cars, but let's pick our favorite
    2016 Honda Accord EX Sensing vs 2016 Toyota Camry Special Edition
    Hi, this is Joe Tunney at Honda of Seattle and Toyota of Seattle, bringing to you a comprehensive catalogue of hundreds of great vehicles from throughout the automobile industry. Although we specialize in Acura, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, sports cars, SUV's and of course our beloved Honda product line, we also like to carry and review exotic cars from time to time like Ferrari, Dodge Viper, turbocharged all-wheel-drive cars like Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru WRX, as well as affordable vehicles that fit into every budget. For 2014 we are going to make a point of reviewing everything we carry, demonstrating for you the interior and exterior features and condition, the wheels and tires, trunk space, as well as an overview of power, technology, economy and driving characteristics to give you factual information as well as information unique to this particular vehicle so that you can enjoy a more intelligent shopping experience without ever having to step onto the lot.
    A little about me. I have been the manager at Infiniti of Kirkland since 2004 and prior to that I ran a high end car boutique in neighboring Bellevue, Washington. For my career I have sold over 10,000 cars so I hope to bring you far more insight than you might ever know to even ask. I show you in some videos how to see if a car has been in an accident, how to make a great buy on a car with a bad Carfax, or why I wouldn't personally buy a car even if it has favorable reviews. Every once in a while I'll even have a little fun to keep the videos fresh but I want to make certain you know that you can always email me at joet@hondaofseattle.com.com if you ever have any questions or feel I have made a mistake or used poor judgment or poor taste.
    I am truly thankful for the hundreds of thousands of views and more importantly, perhaps much more importantly, I am honored to have been viewed in over 200 countries around the world. We all are ambassadors for the things we believe in regardless of where we were born and from my little corner of the world here outside of Seattle, Washington I want to express my sincere gratitude for you having invited me into your home, your place of work, or for simply taking a minute of your valuable time to listen to what I have to say. Maybe we will never meet face to face, but I am forever in your debt for giving me the opportunity to share with you the things I have learned. 2018 accord review. 2018 camry review. 2017 accord review. 2017 camry review. 2016 accord review. 2016 camry review.

    I have a white 2016 SE and I love it, It's my very first car in my name. I bought the 2016 accord sport 2 months ago and returned it after 2 weeks, the car has nicer wheels tires, dashboard. But the car has no take off it is a little better on gas tbh but camry has better driver room, nicer sporty look, and the power from the car is really really nice. I did really like the accord but the car has really lackluster power, if it just had a little more power from the 4 cylinder I would pick it over the Camry.
    But CAMRY PUUULLLSSSSSS

      +Johnson _ Brandon 11 The Accord might still be a bit bland, but it really is a lot nicer than the 2015. The Camry looks nice as well in typical Toyota fashion. Both should age well and both are certain to have fantastic resale value while enjoying blue chip reliability. Either way you go, these are both very intelligent buys.

      +everycarSeattle so funny here with all the " the accord looks better" "No the Camry Looks Better" The Camry is Ugly, or the Accord is Ugly" yada yada. I compared them both (both 2015's) I bought the 2015 Camry SE. because it seemed sportier both with the "open mouthed" grill (mesh) and the seats vs, the cloth Accord seats. I am sure others picked the Accord for their own reasons. Both are great cars. Just personal taste. that is all it is....

    My son got a 2016 Camry XSE. I looked at the Accord--I thought it was a better machine (comfort, more solid) but I dislike the CVT transmission in the Honda. The real deal breaker was the inability of the Honda dealer to negotiate a price. Toyota was very flexible and ultimately about $2,000 cheaper for a car which was nicer (better equipped) than the Honda.

    • @everycarSeattle
      @everycarSeattle  7 лет назад +1

      +everycarSeattle be that as it may your camera is poor and you def need a new camera, it looks horrible. it's like i'm watching a vhs tape that was recorded 25 years ago and that doesn't go well with modern digital displays. have you ever watched a analog video on an hdtv? if so then you know what I mean. you can get a Nikon CoolPix L820 for less than 200 bucks now that shoots 1080p video at 60fps. I would highly suggest buying that camera and doing your future sales videos on it. a little investment in a decent quality camera can go a long way...

    Choosing either one of the Car, both are top mid-size Sedan (Camry still #1), but because of great deals and negotiation just purchased a Camry SE 2017th. I mean all cars have pros cons, but If you want reliability and comfy ride, Camry will satisfy you, but Honda w/ more HP the ride is a bit shaky and noisy compare to Camry. Who needs V6 or more HP when Cops will pull you over just above 6-9 mile of the speed limit in the U.S. unless you're in Taxes lol.
    Both great cars, but Camry for me.

    As for me, the audio/video quality is just fine. It's not like I'm expecting to sit down to watch a feature film in Hi Def, I just need to be able to see the basic features of the car and hear what you are saying (both of which I can just fine). Having said that, I also appreciate the information provided in this video.....trying to car shop online can be difficult, and there aren't a great deal of thoughtful videos like this being posted. I got the exact info I needed from watching this (and then some) so thank you!

      The 2016 CVT is pretty awesome with the Honda Engine (you should test drive one). The 6 speed auto on the Camry can't save its sluggish engine.

      *****
      What model years of each car do you own? The 2016 Camry 4 cylinder is considered by my automags to be under powered. Toyota always seems to push the V6. I also experienced this when I drove it for a week before buying the 2016 Accord. Both Honda and Toyota dealers let me "test" a car for a week (they are both that desperate to sell cars). The 2011 Camry 4 cylinder and 6 speed auto combo that we owned previously was awesome (that auto trans came from the Lexus division only for that year of Camry). Honda has also done some redesign to the 2016 accord CVT too make it quieter. It's, honestly not noticeable in the cabin (and the gas mileage is better than Camry --close to 29 mpg).
      The 2016 Accord honestly feels like a V6 compared to the 2016 Camry 4 cylinder.
      I WILL say that I hate the Honda accord infotainment/stereo system.

      A 2016 Camry is slower on paper --per Car and Driver and Motortrend (and has fewer horse power) than a 2016 Accord. It also feels slower to drive.

They don't race them, they don't drift them, they just take them to work, for nights on the town and runs to Costco. If that sounds like any of you viewers out there, both are can't-miss choices.

    Well both of these cars beat those expensive German rivals. But the Accord looks nice, and has nice features. And the Toyota Camry is unmatched in ride quality and long time reliability. Well both are reliable, but the difference is the Toyota outlasts longer than any other car manufacturer for some reason. But the accords interior is a nice place ! And the design is personal, I think the Camry is sporty and bold, while the Accord is simple and nice looking.

      +Guillermo D One thing about Accords, having owned and sold them since Mesozoic times is that they always age very gracefully. They look frumpy when they're new, but somehow look nicer than their contemporaries as the years go by.

      +Guillermo D I disagree with your remarks about the Camry. Let's compare it to say........the Malibu. Now there is a boring looking car if one ever existed. Very boring, run of the mill look. I think the new Camry is a great looking car, better looking than the Accord and on par or better than the Fusion.
      Your comment seems unjustified and at best, just a personal opinion that should be stated as such. The Camry goes and goes and goes and only improves with age. Not so for the Malibu.

      I don't really take kindly to being lectured by a kid in short pants. Thanks very much. I've forgotten more about automobiles than you know. Okay, so you like Mercedes Benz but you don't like the 2003 Accord. So? Is the Mereces Benz some kind of a styling icon? Is that all you have to say? Wow, you're so deep. You're opinionated, we get it. No one minds, just keep it to yourself. Who cares if you don't like the 2003 Accord or have a thing about Predators. God, what next?

      Oh boy, I guess you need to be spoon fed? "Kids in short pants" or "boys and girls in short pants" is a description of those who are otherwise inexperienced in a subject but who delve into matters (in this case) like auto reviews with a sort of "wild abandon". Of course people have personal opinions; it's just when those personal opinions grow out of control and others (like myself) have to listen to them. You sound like an experienced kid with your comparators to how this auto looks. Assuming that I'm older than you because I told you I have more experience with autos than you is a typical kid response. I'm not older than you, I'm just trying to filter through some asinine comments made by the "boys and girls in short pants". You really are "deep". Based of course on the comments I read from you, previous to your little foray. Tell us more! Please please..... lmao.

    EXACTLY every sales mans trick, 1.they will never say anything negative, if they do they will say 2 positive things right after that and that negative was just mentioned not because they want to be honest, because that negative thing was very obvious to customers 2.no matter which one you choose they will make you think you made a perfect choice and all the things they sell are the best. just go back to 12:50 and listen carefully he says the camry is best but I will choose the honda :D in the 4 cyl sedan market Mazda is best in my opinion and they all mazda,toyota and honda have negatives and positives but this guy didnt talk about facts and numbers at all and that makes this review full of nonesense because you cant just go straight tell everyone camry or honda is best because no car is best for everyone people care about different things so if you dont talk about facts and numbers people cant choose which one is best for them, now just ask yourself after the video what kind of information about the cars did you get? NOTHING other than hp and he thinks you look good if you go fast in camry and with a suit in the honda and saying shit like "its big" "its fast" "nice"

      +sweet dreams: EVERY one already knows that Toyota and Honda are the top car makers....and that the Camry (particularly) lasts forever. Every single car salesman I have talked to over the last 3 months (and that includes Mazda, Nissan, Ford, Kia, and Hyundai) has had to make the same concession. I have never owned a car by either maker, have only owned Chevy. But the reputation on the street is the one that matters most to me, and their excellent reputation is being driven mostly by the consumers, not the sales people.
      And as for this video, keep in mind it was made for the average car buyer.....and is NOT a critical analysis of the safety or mechanical engineering, . If you are looking for "facts and numbers" that then you should be looking up those types of videos or webpages, just common sense.

      Doctor Who actually toyota is not top anymore, mazda is bought back and their new models are reliable, honda and toyota are same in reliability and kia and hyundai are giving 5-10 year warranties while toyota only 3 years.
      average car buyer? this video is for the stupid car buyer, who buy a car without facts and numbers these days?? you make me look like some mechanical engineer. and those videos are not "those types of videos" they are actual reviews and this one isnt because in the end if you ask yourself what kind of info you got, its nothing. this one is just marketing video and some type of ad. maybe you are stupid enough to purchase a car over this video but 90% aren't like you they seek numbers and facts, safety, on road noise,driving feel and comfort.

      +sweet dreams The sales approach I teach is called the Conversational Approach. (I don't know why I capitalized that) The point of this method is simply to invite conversation or criticism from your guest. If you go a million miles an hour, it can be intimidating or obnoxious in the eyes of your guest even though it might be factually accurate. However, if you speak conversationally in larger concepts, you will discover where your guests' priorities are and focus more attention there. In the end, they may prefer a different car altogether (i.e. the Mazda) but they tend to appreciate that you made them feel comfortable, provided them with your own personal insight and didn't waste their time telling them a bunch of data points that they already saw for themselves online.

      +sweet dreams I'm glad you're a fan of Mazda, since it's a good comparison car (as are the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima) but I'm not with you on the long term quality of the Mazda, yet. They have improved their image over the past several years on the pre-owned market, but any salesman alive will tell you that if they had to sell a 100,000 mile Honda, a 100,000 mile Toyota or a 100,000 mile anything else, they would take the Honda or Toyota hands down. Remember, I am now the General Manager of Hyundai of Tacoma and I am still saying this. Maybe it's wrong to have this bias, but the market wants what the market wants.

    The Camry will be more reliable. Traditionally, honda's have had a stellar reputation fir reliability tarnished by transmission problems that finally got addressed in 2005 Accords. V6 Accords since 2008 have had serious engine problems. The newer accord v6 seem to have the issues addressed, though.

      You're obviously very biased against Toyota. I believe the new Toyota Camry is a wonderful step forward for the model. I've owned two brand new Accords ('79 and '99) and yes they are nice cars but the Camry is quieter and more refined plus the styling is much nicer.
      We obviously disagree. I dropped the Accord when I bought my new Camry and have never looked back.

      To each his own. I purchased a '99 4cylinder Camry LE back in 2001. Loved everything about it. It was my first car. My bro got into an accident and it was totalled in '06. I later bought a maxima 04 used, and decided I didn't need all that power, I'd. rather quiet and save on gas. Now I have a civic 14 ex-l. Great mpg, quiet, lots of room while it gas a small exterior, and great technology, The only thing I didn't like about it was the finished styling. So I upgraded the front and back with the civic si styling instead. Now I love it even more. Meanwhile my bro is leasing a 13 Camry LE. I love that model's styling.

    Great video, but eep--you'd be a fool as a consumer to pay that "One Price." Seattle has relatively high market prices, judging from TrueCar, but you should still be able to get that particular model and package combination on the Camry for at least $2000 less than that One Price. I mean heck, the One Price is above invoice!

    • @everycarSeattle
      @everycarSeattle  9 лет назад

      +Todd P The one price is posted on our website at www.toyotaofseattle.com and www.hondaofseattle.com so that you can shop from the comfort of your own home. We know our prices are competitive so we freely post them. We do not add a 2nd sticker or mandatory accessories. We also give you a free 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Beyond that, we can have you in and out in less than 1 hour, which is unheard of in the car business.

    I'd choose the '04 Camry SE over the newest Camry. Toyota wins with reliability but not style. For many years their interior looked so outdated compared to Honda. And as they grew, their exteriors went bland and the over sized grill was an attempt to revive their appearance. Honda has their luxury line Acura, both these makes share style and are much more attractive and they know how to design cars better. Honda listens to customer feedback. For example, 2012 Civic did not satisfy, they remodeled that car the next year and impressed many.

      +Ran Ding I think the problem is that this building is so tall that it's really windy on the roof, surrounded by noisy traffic and all of our outdoor speakers plus you have Boeing next door so there's a lot of airplane noise. My last 5 vehicles have been Honda and Toyota. I just purchased a 2016 Accord. There are a couple things that it has that the Toyota can't match. They make a coupe. It is actually 2 inches shorter wheelbase besides 2 inches overall. It is great looking and handles like a sports car. It looks great, too. It is offered also with a 6 speed manual. Mine has what they call a cvt, but in truth, it is more like a dual clutch automatic. It has paddle shifters. It has 7 different gears in the sport mode. You can just put it in drive if you want, though. If you are in the sport mode and run it through the 7 gears and then shift into drive from 7th, the engine will drop a couple hundred rpm's. So actually it is like an 8 speed automatic. I like it. I am old, but I act like I'm 40. This car is red. I still ride motorcycles and have a boat. So even though I am retired, I haven't slowed down. BTW, as with most one price stores, his price can be beat. I didn't give much more than that for a coupe, EXL. As for doc fees. That is the biggest rip off there is. They will say it is for processing your papers. All the people in the office get paid. It is just extra profit because they can get away with it.

    • @everycarSeattle
      @everycarSeattle  8 лет назад

      +C moore Dealers in the city are going to make about $2000 on a car deal...they just are. Whether it's 1 price or hired guns who close the deal...whether it's doc fees and no finance office or the smoothest-talking finance manager in town...$2000 will be made...and more likely $2500. Fight it, resist it, hate it, it doesn't matter which store you go to, that's just the reality of Japanese cars in metropolitan markets. In outlying markets that number goes up...and you may think "but they have low overhead and are family owned" or whatever their marketing logic is, but those outlying stores make about $3500 which they have to do since their service departments don't perform anywhere near the level of their metropolitan counterparts. As an employee in sales, you wan't to work in those outlying stores, it's where the money is...but for someone who wants to work for a great company with a product/process and facility you can feel awesome about - Honda and Toyota of Seattle can't be beat, not anywhere in the entire country.

    the accord is fun to drive and the new 2016s are a real head turner with the new 19 inch wheels and led tails.
    the camry with some upgrades, is the most dependable car at the end of the day. no cvt, 6 speed auto transmission, timing chain instead of the cvt and belt like the accord. it will last longer.

      +everycarSeattle Toyota is hands-down the vehicle to buy for 250,000+ miles with very few mishaps. Accord is the "Drivers' everyday appliance car...but My experience with Hondas, they will cost more to get to 250,000+miles...and Honda parts can get pricey...as Honda does not license-out some particular parts early-on(meaning dealer only).
      With that said .....it's a roll of the dice. Neither car is original in design...they both borrow, French,Italian, and German styling cues.
      Have a friend with a 2001 Avalon with 450,000+ miles..2 timing belt changes and that's it. Honda would cost way more to get to that milestone.....Honda trans-axles-paired-up with V6s don't have the ruggedness of Toyota slushboxes.
