I saw passenger at Ed Sheeran's concert in Amsterdam. I hadn't heard of him till then and he was truly amazing. If I saw him like this, I would just sit there and listen to him the whole time.
Probably because the passers by are not interested. I once went to a Beer Festival and found Bob Geldoff singing with a small band. Nobody was interested, they just swigged their beer and chattted with one another. I love all live music, good and bad, shame there is not much more of it.
