EDITORS NOTE: The Linebreaker Sam actually fires the same missiles as the AFV-8, but carries more of them. It does not have a range advantage over the AFV series. Statements in the video regarding the S3 missiles are not correct and no range advantage actually exists between the AFV-8 and Linebreaker SAM.
Some notes: In newer versions, MBTs and IFVs may engage slow aircraft using their main guns or ground-to-ground missiles respectively. AA guns cannot engage above a certain angle, rendering them useless against dive bombing. There is a new, particularly dangerous ground vehicle in the game. The StratoLance R9 Launcher fires long-range SARH missiles, shutting down almost all high-altitude operations until it can be dealt with. It has no radar of its own, and must link up with a nearby HLT Radar Truck. In addition to ground forces, there are also two ships in the game: the Shard-class corvette and the Hyperion-class fleet carrier. The Shard-class corvette is armed with a 57mm cannon, a 20mm CIWS, and a vertical launch system containing RAM-45 missiles. Additionally, its helipad allows helicopters to rearm and refuel from it. The Hyperion-class fleet carrier acts as a mobile airbase, capable of deploying all but the FS-12 Revoker and SFB-81 Darkreach. Its point defense battery consists of two MMR-S3 launchers, a RAM-45 launcher, and two 30mm CIWS turrets. It can store up to 24 KR-67 Ifrits, 8 T/A-30 Compasses, 4 SAH-46 Chicanes, 4 EW-25 Medusas, and 2 CI-22 Crickets. It is always escorted by 4 Shard-class corvettes.
thanks for the info enjoy this game a lot and your information is very helpful keep the vids coming , i seen the ship update will you be doing a vid on that
The new navy ship is cool, but on its own the ship isn't enough to justify a whole video. I will do a navy vessel overview once there are enough added.
I feel like capturing should be a thing and In order to capture apcs and other things have a infantry count and a certain amount of infantry is needed to capture the base but apcs need to be on the base
That was great to watch! And informative too. But damn, its a shame that you didnt mention how those vehicles can actually be ordered to move around by players haha, or that they are capable of capturing air bases
this game has potential... A few more aircrafts and weapons, and a bit more polishing and it might look very promising. The only thin is that the name Nuclear Option is not great. It would be nice to come up with a better name

As I started watching I noticed it's both 3 minutes earlier and 3 degrees cooler than your desktop time and temp. Aliens.
For a very futuristic setting, I'm surprised none of these vehicles have active protection systems. That would make them substantially harder to kill.
Balance gameplay and realism. If you set up a perfect run, but we're denied the kill because of a coin toss on the APS, it would upset players.

I've heard discussion about a search and rescue based aircraft at some point. I don't know about full infantry combat modeling.

that will be a topic covered in my tutorial series.
Yeah if you go into map and choose a vehicle on the ground and I think right click anywhere it will move to that area
I'll play this when it has vr support
I wanted to play this Game but I could not get Steam to work.
Will nuclear option feature aircraft-based fox 1 and fox 3?
And do anti-missile manuevers even work in nuclear option rn?
anti-missile maneuvers do work quite well
@@xYxColeTrainxYx is banzai worth doing in this game?
I have been able to shake IR missiles by chaining together S turns, or by maneuvering against terrain.
@@DryHeatAndSand split s is always a great tool
there are no fox 1 or 3 missiles in the game at the moment

Disagree. It's short, eye catching, and sets the game apart from most flight games.
