- Sign writing and fitting the doors to the cab. After test fitting the doors I used a cutting machine to make stencils to spray paint. Once painted the doors were then weathered a little and then finally attached to the cab.
It was interesting and fun to learn the machine, software and materials with this build.

Very nice old truck
Thank you. It is old and crusty that is for sure.
Absolutely awesome Marc .remark about the OCD clan made me laugh
I knew the mismatched doors might upset some folk lol. I couldn't resist having a crack at 'em.
Fantastic work as allways! Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you mate. Glad you are enjoying this build.
Awesome work mate👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Enjoying watching this build come together. One slick idea after another.
Cheers bro. I think I have kinda lucked out with this build most things I've tried have worked out well.
Shitty...I'm thinkin' she's looking down right sweet my Brother! Take care, all the best.
Thanks Twist! It's getting there, slowly but surely.
Very nice work!
Thank you Ralph!
I agree the Explore Air 2 is a wicked cool tool. I am still learning it too, but I already have used it on several maker projects. Every RC hobbist should have one. I have cut stuff so small, my old ass eyes had to pull out the magnifying lens to see. LOL.
Digging the cricket sound effects. I will be hearing that every time I run something thru my Cricut from now on. LOL.
That rig is looking fantastic. The drivers door is a cool idea. It looks perfectly like 'scrap metal'.
I have an ongoing project in serious need of rust and all things nasty. I really want to see how you weather and rust up your plastic wheels. The driver side front wheel is what is the look I had in mind, can't wait to see the next update I always look forward to your updates. Your skills are, and will be considered legendary.
Stay safe friend.
Thank you very much for your comment Steve. It means a lot to know people are enjoying the videos of the build. I have low video views these days, but I am please the folks who do watch are quality viewers who are taking a real interest.
I'm still around, and your still amazing! Life, work, family taking priority right now. Just watched 40 dollar trailer.
My dad worked for Consolidated Freightways in the 60s
They were called corn flakes.
It's that time of year eh. lots to do for the xmas season.
As always, nice work ‼️ side note - another name for the trucking company might be: old iron... :) Thanks for sharing this build 👍🏼
Damn, that's a good idea. Old Iron Scrap Metal Yard. Missed opportunity. hmmm got me thinking about another stencil now.
Stunning work truly amazing build from start to present .
Thank you very much mate.
Looks good.Sure has come a long ways. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Robert. I though folks might get bored it is taking so long, but I can't rush something this much fun.
Truly brilliant work, thank you for the video. All the best 👍
Cheers Steve. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Brilliant work, you old symmetry sadist, you...I´m looking forward to seeing how you weathered that front left wheel, having weathered four truck wheels myself only today.
Thanks Del. You can be sure I did it in the cheapest way I could ;o)
Ha ha - that´s the spirit!
Very cool, I love the different door.
Thanks mate. I guess it will be a "love it or hate it" type thing that door. I like it.
My friend this is so realistic. It looks just like a scrappers truck. The brothers would be honored to know they were remembered in such a way. I salute you my good friend. Our minds are equally twisted. I'm still in about a 1/2 turkey comma from celebrating our time honered American holiday....Thanksgiving. I'm back, I had to take a snort to revive my mental faculties. Have you given any thought yet as to what sort of scrap might be loaded on the trailer. Maybe some old oil drums, some steel beams, perhaps an old car body or some junk HVAC units. The sky is your limit. A true scrapper will cull nothing metalic. Great work mate......oh yes, the detail on the interior door panels is awsome. Love your vinyl lettering machine. Stay safe. Till next time.😎
Thank you for commenting Ray. I am not sure if the trailer will cope with loads, the deck is made from rotting wood, not very stout. I doubt it would take much of a load at all.
@@OldIronRC I'm sure it will look great no matter. When the wheels start to turn in your creative mind, miracles unfold on your work bench.
